Apr 29, 20226/10. The weapons don't feel responsive. Fighting isn't intuitive. There is far too much weapon variety. The game is too competitive to have such sloppy gameplay.

Jul 22, 2018The combat was super fun, but the mechanics are broken, you can do some really weird stuff if you pan your camera quickly etc.
-
Apr 29, 2018Some servers are very unfriendly after leaving the low level servers. You can be bullied out of servers which could completely ruin your experience. Fun game, but play at your own risk.

Feb 26, 2018The game is pleasing, but it gets tired quickly. There are also ping problems.

Dec 24, 2015A game in which you take the combat system of Elder Scrolls and beat up other people with it. A very fun game. Muliplayer exclusive. The player is also able to customize your play style with multiple weapons and appearances, many different game types too.

Jun 5, 2014It's really fun, but very hard. It also doesn't seem like it, but it's very demanding, I had to turn all of my settings to low to play it, and even then it lagged or glitched pretty often, getting me killed. During a free weekend I recommend playing it as much as you can, because that's when all the newbies are playing, and it's not nearly as frustrating. This game isn't for everyone.

Feb 5, 2014Seriously, if you're going to make a game this glitchy and buggy, maybe you shouldn't have ads you can't skip every time you boot the game after it crashes.
Fun game, but poor coding kills it. -

Dec 2, 2013While it has the potential to be a great game it's plagued (for the better part of a year) by poor frame rate and lag, even on high end machines and the developer's apparent disinterest to remedy the situation is all the more reason to buy this game only when its on sale.

Sep 18, 2013Get it on sale and it's worth it. Combat is kind of clunky and the controls aren't great but it is fun and has a lot of moves you can try to pull off. I prefer the archery/crossbows myself. It's entirely possible to one-shot people with well placed attacks.

Aug 23, 2013Would be much higher if it wasn't for all the bugs, exploits, low quantity of maps, weapons. Still no mod tools. It is very fun and addicting for what it is but has too many bugs to get a higher score.

Aug 17, 2013The game is great! yes there are a few bugs and certain weapons seem to be overpowered but I feel that a few updates from now this game should be pitch perfect, what amazed me the most is how fluent and fast the combat is! One moment I'm on my feet the next moment I'm trying to find my head which is rolling on the floor due to the everyday man-at-arms halberd.

Feb 26, 2013A multiplayer experience that offers a realistic point of view of the Medieval melee battles. It's not fit for everyone, but if you get past the glitches and the high difficulty curve, you'll find an enjoyable and addictive game.

PC Master (Greece)Feb 4, 2013Chivalry is slightly… bipolar. The spectacle of a duel (especially if the two opponents are seasoned veterans) can be spectacularly breath-taking, a complex choreography that one can only marvel at. Blocks, feints, slashes, back-steps, side-hits: despite initial impressions, this can be a truly intellectual game of tactics, requiring high skills, observation and deviousness. On the other hand, the spectacle of a massive battle of fifty warriors can be ridiculously chaotic: especially if the players are inexperienced and go for blind “hack and slash” tactics, it’s more like a metal concert mosh pit than a battle for glory and honor. PC GamerFeb 1, 2013Chivalry is Quake to War of the Roses' Battlefield, and those seeking a faster-paced bloodier experience will undoubtedly prefer Chivalry's type of steel. [March 2013, p.65]
