Children of Silentown works: it tells a good story, has some great moments and is characterized by a captivating visual style.

Children of Silentown left us with very good impressions. If its puzzle/mini game element had been tamed and there were more "typical" adventure puzzles or even like those of the last chapter, then it would have scored even higher. However, the darkly beautiful story it tells, its immersive atmosphere and the messages it wants to convey are more than enough to make it stay etched in your memory for a long time.
  3. In Lucy's full of nightmares world, we must solve the problems that await us on our journey to learn the fate of the village's disappeared, and sing our song to make people talk.

Children of Silentown applies the same formula to the traditional point & click adventure genre but augments it with some interesting elements like a unique art style and some really interesting puzzles. Although it does manage to be intriguing and keep you engaged till the end, it fails to deliver the conclusion of an otherwise enjoyable journey. Ultimately, there’s enough content to keep you entertained for 8-10 hours and fans of the genre will find the journey a fulfilling one. The characters, soundtrack, story and clever puzzles make Children of Silentown a compelling adventure well worth the time.

Children of Silentown sinks you into a world that is eerily beautiful. It holds you, not knowing what the night brings or what lurks in the forest – and that’s a good thing.

Children of Silentown is a grand adventure. The world had me in a constant state of suspense, and the characters constantly surprised me. Even with the occasional logic issues found in certain puzzles that lost me, I found fun in the overall design. The characters and locations were charming and memorable, despite the eerie nature of the art style. Children of Silentown is well worth your time if you are a fan of Adventure games.

A dark adventure with spooky atmosphere. Children of Silentown successfully delivers intense story in calm, but bitter ways. While some puzzles may be too unfamiliar to solve, they are generous enough for anyone to enjoy.

If you’re looking for a creepy mystery adventure game with less emphasis on traditional point-and-click mechanics, Children of Silentown could be for you. However, some bland characters hinder it, and most of the storyline is confined too long in one play area.

Children of Silentown has a thought-provoking story, with an art style that is impossible not to enjoy. A point and click adventure spanning over five chapters to enjoy – if you can get past the infuriating mini games – there’s much to be fond of. Unfortunately, the story ends abruptly, but your journey up till then will be full of mystery and intrigue.

Despite fumbling at the finish line, Children of Silentown presents an intriguing story that illustrates how fear can cause people to lose sight of what’s important. The puzzles are reasonably challenging and varied, with appealing visuals that help amplify the game’s moody atmosphere. Although the pacing drags in certain areas, Children of Silentown is an enjoyable point-and-click game overall and I would recommend it for both fans of the genre and puzzle game aficionados alike.

Children of Silentown isn't exceptional by any means, but thanks to its intriguing story, fun and simplistic gameplay, and excellent art design, it's still worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of point-and-click adventure games.

Children of Silentown is a nice-looking but bland adventure game due to basic puzzles and mundane objectives, although its second half shows more potential.

The static setting, some logical inconsistencies and recurring combination puzzles make it hard to wholeheartedly recommend this one, but it has a striking look and a compelling narrative going for it.

The gameplay is pretty standard but also very well done. The minigames could be tweaked a bit; leaving your player feeling stupid isn’t exactly a good thing. But the story overshadows a lot of my complaints: it’s intriguing, it’s heartfelt, it’s scary. It’s not the best game you’ll ever play, but the developers have tried to make something distinct, at least.

Actually it's not about the game being too short, but it's the story that leaves the impression to be abruptly finished with a constrained ending (endings in this case). The story begins promising with all that mystery around the missing villagers abducted by a surrounding dreadful forest, and becomes more interesting when the main character starts to ask more questions about that. But you find yourself in the last chapter of the game waiting anxious for some answers or at least some clues about what really happened and, instead of that, all you got are more questions.
Children of Silentown accentuate the sensation of an incomplete work also because the game focus more on the story line and less on the gameplay. The point-and-click actions are more exploring than puzzling tasks.
If there is a department of the game which I would praise that is the background music. Also I like the charming personality of the main character, Lucy, and I would loved to see more rich personalities of the other characters.
