MalicApr 9, 2009One of the best Chess games ever made. Easily worth the price tag in my book.

AlexC.Mar 3, 2008I've purchased all previous versions since ChessMaster 6000. I noticed minor cosmetic changes between CM11 and CM10; however, I'm basing my vote strictly on this version alone. The package is put together very well from the graphics, to the gameplay, to the training. I would have liked to see more mature 3D chessboards since the ones provided have a "kid" theme to them.

JanA.Dec 30, 2007I like it because you can play against players with different types of personalities. The tutorials are awesome and I've learned a lot since I've watched them. The game database is huge and it's fun studying very famous games with commentary. The database is also up to date, so you can look at the most recent games played in 2007.

ChrisPFeb 5, 2009Instead of using a table to play chess its either a laptop and or a mouse. If chess is boring then go do something else. Patience is a virtue. The best part of this game is that well Its Chess!

JamesWDec 24, 2009Great piece of chess programming- can serve all your chess needs right up to master level! The academy is excellent as well, many useful tips for practical improvement (although the tests are a little hard- it estimates a 2200 player rated less than 1800 points!)

The only thing missing from this experience was an actual video of eight-year-old Josh crying at the end of the game. I would have paid a lot of money to see that.

A really great chess game. The presentation values are excellent, and it has a wonderful training mode which includes fully-voiced tutorials from Josh Waitzkin.

PC GamerAs a one-stop shop for an entire chess-playing and learning family, this package should last until you're all grand masters. [Apr 2008, p.64]
