Chariot is a very nice platform game and especially in co-op mode, it really shines, making it a first class choice for anyone who wants a worthy and challenging experience that will keep him busy for more than ten hours.

It’s chaotic fun in a mould that’s largely disappeared since the advent of online gaming but has seen a revival of late with the likes of Towerfall: Ascension.

Carry the body of your deceased King around the world in search of a place for eternal rest, while his ghost will only grumble, in this funny and relaxing cooperative game.

Chariot is a difficult and adorable platformer, sometimes infuriating, but the subtle alchemy of its gameplay gives more satisfaction than frustration.

Each level is a completely new use of the mechanics and difficulty is slowly progressing. It does not look like it has any fame, and this is a real shame, as the gameplay is so smooth, original and polished.

Even the story is fresh in the genre. You are trying to find the right sepulture for your deceaded father the king. Obviously your are the princess. Coop is a lot of fun, as your prince tag along. You carry the chariot with type of elastic rope.

As a gamplay mechanic, the chariot is a truly great idea, that can be used as a platform in many way. The maniability is excellent and the physics are good fun. The 1st level you are not too sure, but then you get the dynamic, and try to keep the momentum as you climb through beautiful caves. 5 worlds and 5 levels each with up to 3 different entries & exits. A very nice speedrun mode, some hidden challenges that require quite a bit of thinking and 6 powers to throw the chariot around and deal with swarms of monsters. The universe is cute and original. Special mention to the "hidden forest" where giant colourful fungus light up your way in unphathomable dark caves ..

Truly a little gem you should check out!
