    This is a hard platformer that you just "have" to keep playing. The game compels you in so many ways, from the satisfaction of completing your first B-Side track, the great soundtrack, the tight yet simple controls, and even a charming story behind it all. One of the best gaming experiences I have had in many years.

    The finest platforming experience you could ask for. Excellent level design/gameplay with perfectly balanced difficulty, great length (10-20 hours to complete) and a unique and compelling story, Celeste is a true labor of love by people who know what they're doing.

    One of the best games I've ever played. It's hard as nails, but so well designed.

    Great, deep and polished game mechanics.
    Tight controls.
    Awesome Music.
    Moving story.

    Can't ask more of a game.

    The primary lesson everyone should get from Celeste is obviously that a shadow-doppelganger of yourself brought about through dark magic is a gateway to attaining higher powers and should be embraced, not fought off. Remember that for when it's you going through it.

    This game is outstanding. One of the best games I've played to date. First off, the visuals and music are so polished and beautiful. I just want every screen of this game as my background (the backgrounds are incredibly detailed and help make the game feel very polished) and I could listen to this music for hours. The dialogue is incredibly charming and tells a story about complicated feelings so elegantly and with so much honesty (I mean, you can feel it through the dialogue). The gameplay is incredibly fluid and its difficulty curve is perfect (However, I am a platformer afficiando, so take that with a grain of salt). I mean, seriously. Just jumping around and dashing in an empty space feels amazing, and there are so many collectibles to find using these amazing controls! You can choose to play on assist mode, or complete the game 100% and have an outstanding time no matter what. This game simply gets everything right: from skippable cutscenes to counters that help see what you missed in a level. The B-sides are just as fun as the main story and there's secrets hiding in every corner. No secret makes you want to use a walkthrough; they are well-hidden, but also well telegraphed with fun little mini-challenges in them. There are so many cool, inventive mechanics to come across while traversing through in this game... and the level design... Oh, the level design! It's absolutely perfect. This game is incredible and a great start if you want to start playing hardcore platformers.… Expand

    "Sobresaliente", esa es la palabra que define Celeste desde cualquier punto de vista, tanto sus controles, mecánicas, habilidades, historia, música y ambientación hacen que la experiencia de juego sea de las mejores que he podido experimentar. Totalmente recomendado.

    I like hard games; dark souls, hotline miami and hollow knight come to my mind. But I've never really could get into a hard platformer. Super meat boy is a great game, yes. But I didn't felt motivated to keep playing despite dying over and over. Then, it came this game. But the difficulty curve, how it adds new challenges as it goes on, how it teaches you a new mechanic and then plays with it, changing it until it becomes something completely new; there's where the brilliance of this game resides.

    This game pushed me to the edge of my skills, teaching me in every step, making me improve. That's why it's the best platformer I have ever played. And if you add the beautiful story, the cute visuals and the immersing music, you have a work of art right there.    … Expand

    The ultimate platformer. The uses of elements on your screen is just perfect, the dash control thing is ultra-precise and the controls in general are very satisfying to use. The game is hard, but it as so many checkpoints and no life limitation that everyone can finish the game - I've finished the main story in 6 hours - and those B/C-Sides are made for gamers that want more difficulty andThe ultimate platformer.     yeah this game is a rare one, great tight platforming, great presentation, ost, and surprisingly story, just a lot of quality content with this game.

    One of the best games i've ever played. Good platforming alongside good story and music, and you got yourself a godlike game. Everything just feels well-designed, in every aspect of the game. I'm not a completionist but i loved collecting collectables in celeste, and i might try and 100% it. this is how good it is. it makes a "just go through the main campaign" player want to collectOne of the best games i've ever played. Only few games make me really want to do it. The difficulty feels so right. It's not like Cuphead where its difficult in the wrong way IMO, but it had the direction at least. Here, it's not about getting punished super hard if you make a few mistakes - it's about figuring out the challenge and executing it right, again and again, until you succeed. Never rage quitted, I was always encouraged to pass to the next screen. The additional content is a huge selling point IMO. if you finished the campaign, YOU AIN'T DONE YET! You were good enough to beat the game, so you get the b-sides to complete, the strawberries to collect and the hearts to find. And, if youre an absolute madman, you have the c-sides challenges, which I'll try to complete in my way to 100% the game.… Expand

    The game is actually funny! The hunour is subtile and well integrated. It is demanding game, but rewarding at the same time. One of the best indie games!

    Really fun platforming which is not frustrating, because it's not about precision, but about the proper usage of environment and skills. I can also relate to Madeline's struggles with panic attacks, which have a real visual form in the game in the form of her evil self and darker levels.

Но проходя ее нужно учитывать посыл разработчиков, так как и многие произведения искусства не должны только от визуала, а от общей картины. Только при полном погружении в происходящее можно прочувствовать игру в полной мере.Классная игра с целой кучей различных механик.     The best platformer i have played.
    Precise mechanics , wonderful art style , outstanding soundtrack , relatable story , good level design makes this game near perfect.
    Instant revive after death makes the game flow . Controls are so precise that you know its your fault if you die.
    Highly recommended.

    Celeste is one game that, exeeds expectations even for me, that started the game with really high expectations, from the absolute basics, like the controls that feel really snappy, the art, that is polished to perfection, the story touches on a mental problem really well and thruthfully. overall, it's amazing on eery aspect of it and really deserved to be around the best games of its year.

    This game gets a 10 in every category. A perfectly controlled platformer with a touching and relatable story, brilliant and memorable music, amazingly creative levels, and a beautiful and colorful aesthetic.

    This game is so good, where do I begin? The mechanics are simple, but have a high skill ceiling. The difficulty is challenging, but rewarding. The story is amazing and unique. The story is short, but there's plenty of content and stuff to do after you complete the game.     May be the best platformer I've ever played. The physics are just right and the core gameplay is so good it doesn't need millions of abilities and enemies to stay interesting. It also has one of the best soundtracks in gaming and a surprisingly great story.

    Many hours of gameplay, deep characters, amazing storyline, beautiful art style and music, tight enough to make me want to pull out my hair sometimes (in a good way)...

    Amazing. Very fun platforming where you start with only a jump, dash and a climb but then discover more techniques/mechanics along the way.

    Good difficulty curve. The main story might be hard- but completely doable for anyone. The postgame offers a lot more challenge. The difficulty is not about pixel perfect jumps, it's rather keeping the pace and finding the optimal solution.

    Celeste has a lot going for it: virtuoso level design, top notch pixel art, fantastic chiptune soundtrack, an overall smart design, huge speedrunning potential and some deeper meaning (climbing the mountain as a metaphor of overcoming depression). Be aware though that it requires flawless precision and you will count your deaths in thousands. [04/2018, p.53]
