May 12, 2018This game is outstanding. One of the best games I've played to date. First off, the visuals and music are so polished and beautiful. I just want every screen of this game as my background (the backgrounds are incredibly detailed and help make the game feel very polished) and I could listen to this music for hours.

May 2, 2018The game is actually funny! The hunour is subtile and well integrated. It is demanding game, but rewarding at the same time. One of the best indie games!

Apr 25, 2018Great game overall. But when you mix such a clean game-play with some beautiful art, you get something magical. It is a hard game, but I never felt like it took away from it. I feel like if some mechanics were better explored, this game would be a 10 for me, without a doubt.

almost every thing about this game is good -
Apr 13, 2018Great platforming, art, music and story. It'll last a while, but it's tough, though!
-
Apr 5, 2018Tight controls. Freaking awesome level design. Surprisingly interesting story. Best platformer in years.

Mar 19, 2018Overrated garbage. Nothing special, nothing new. Ugly looking pixel graphics and annoyingly difficult and boring gameplay. This is the game which makes me think that game reviewers might be bribed to write good review. Such a shame...

Mar 8, 2018I mean, it's pretty good. But i suck at it. Also it's really hard. But Theo is cool.

Mar 5, 2018Hace mucho no me divertia con un juego 2d, la dificultad de este juego es sublime, te mantiene entretenido todo el tiempo y su duración no es corta

Feb 25, 2018A fun retro-style platformer with quirky characters, great music and amazing level design. The only real complaint I have is some wonky dialogue, but even that is a minor complaint.

Feb 2, 2018Difficult: definitely. Fun? Only if you enjoy the difficulty. If you don't, Assist Mode doesn't really help make it more fun, since it doesn't assist with the timing (other than giving you the option to slow everything down, including dying).

Jan 27, 2018Great fun platformer, not super difficult and has a nice assist mode for people new to platformers.
Has the option of going for a linear playthrough, or collecting lots of strawberries in extra sections of the levels and challenging yourself to the bmode levels.
Overall, a very fun game, would give it 10/10 if the strawberries unlocked something. -
Jan 26, 2018I heard this game was a "difficult platformer", in the likes of Shovel Knight and Super Meat Boy, unfortunately what I got was a fairly "meh" game, with unfinished concepts(such as the strawberries you can collect that have no function whatsoever), not a lot of difficulty, and very bland and unoriginal art style.

Mar 29, 2022A charming precision platformer with a pleasant story about mental health. Gorgeous graphics, beautiful music, and fantastic platforming had me coming back for more despite my thousand deaths.
-
CD-ActionMay 16, 2018Celeste has a lot going for it: virtuoso level design, top notch pixel art, fantastic chiptune soundtrack, an overall smart design, huge speedrunning potential and some deeper meaning (climbing the mountain as a metaphor of overcoming depression). Be aware though that it requires flawless precision and you will count your deaths in thousands. [04/2018, p.53]

Mar 21, 2018Along with its charming 2D retro look and awesome soundtrack the game cast a spell on me with its authentic characters.
