Well well, i'm the first to actually write a review on this game. In a nutshell, it's Catan as you know it from the board game. Catan Universe however, is a free to play game that allows you to outright buy the base game through ingame currency or by paying with scrolls that you earn through playing.

When you play against the computer (single player) the game is quite fun, even challenging at times. Multiplayer however is a mess. I've had matches taking almost 2 hours because the developers didn't think of putting timers in place just in case someone decided to keep their turn going indefinitely. By gently moving your mouse, the idle timer resets and thus keeps your turn going. This is heavily abused by players who are about to lose, and hope to discourage winning players into forfeiting.
The amount of frustration i received through this loophole was so much that i stopped playing online all together in Catan Universe. If you don't mind playing against the AI, dropping 5 euros or dollars on this game is worth it. If you want to play online, i recommend you look somewhere else. It's an average game, i give it a 6/10.… Expand
