A creepy short story, with unsettling art and a nice, if unexplored, central gameplay mechanic.

Carimara: Beneath the Forlorn Limbs is a fairy tale mystery packed with character and a gorgeous sense of aesthetics. Magical card-based conversations make unravelling what happened satisfying, and though this is a short but sweet vignette it'll stick with you.

Creepy and unsettling, Carimara: Beneath the Forlorn Limbs is a unique take on a 'whodunnit' mystery, and it's unlike anything you'll have played before. A short game at a budget price, this is a creative gem well worth your time this Halloween.

CARIMARA: Beneath the forlorn limbs is an attention-grabbing introduction to a strange and original fantasy world that features an engaging spin on the detective genre, but our time there is so brief that it’s hard to come away fully satisfied.

CARIMARA is a creepy horror mystery based on Normandy folklore. The atmosphere encapsulates an eerie yet beautiful tone, which is mesmerising to play. However, the experience is very short, and the central mystery falls flat because some of the answers are unsatisfying.

I wasn't blown away by anything here, but I didn't need to be. Carimara's art is what caught my eye, and it delivered on that count while spinning a pleasantly unsettling little yarn. Like a good sandwich, it's perfectly satisfying.

CARIMARA: Beneath the forlorn limbs is a short but sweet horror-adventure that’ll be a joy for any indie horror lover to play through. The card-based dialogue and exploration mechanic was unique, and the world itself had clearly been crafted with care, with a gorgeously eerie art style that matched the narrative nicely.
