Had a chance of being good but the confusing goals make it a bit of a flop. The voice acting could use some work too. It sounds like one person made all of it and didn't really know what they were doing. The vehicle creator is neat but it's really limited as far as what pieces you can place and where.

This is one of the better games I have played! It is so unique and strange there is nothing quite like it. The art and voice acting are primo. The story is about the end of earth I guess and you have to harvest fun from the buddies who are these strange creatures. You take them for rides and make chains of them and do various other things for the gods of this beautifully crafted world. This is one of the better games I have played! "Cargo! The Quest for Gravity" is a... quite confusing game, where you're never really sure about what you have to do. So you end up swimming around and kicking naked babies-like creatures (sic). What?

Crazy and fun game. Like other games from Ice-Pick Lodge, it stands out for its visual style and soundtrack. A distinctive feature of the game is the vehicle editor, thanks to which players can realize many of their bold fantasies.

Exploring Cargo's bizarre world is charming and even thought-provoking at times, but ultimately turns out to be a superficial experience. [Sept 2011, p.69]

Proof that gleeful surrealism does not automatically indicate arthouse brilliance. [Aug 2011, p.74]
