    A REAL review from someone who gave up on COD years and years ago. This won't be about the political side of the game. No Swastikas, the lootboxes, female soldiers, etc... this is focused on the GAME itself.

    Graphics- Anyone on here saying "this game looks awful" or "it plays bad" are straight up lying to you. This game is gorgeous and plays extremely well on my PC.     Graphics- Anyone on here saying "this game looks awful" or "it plays bad" are straight up lying to you. This game is gorgeous and plays extremely well on my PC. Nothing more to be said. It looks great maxed out and plays great with no lag so far for me

    Campaign- Enjoyable. Had fun playing through the story although it was quite short (as to be expected from a Call of Duty game) but it kept me playing and there was some good moments to be had. Nothing new really. Usual COD. Although the new health pack system is a really welcomed change from the regenerating health. Could have been longer, but overall a really fun experience.

    Zombies- Garbage. If you're a fan of straight up survival with COD zombies like way back in the day you will hate this. Too much objectives to do, too much other stuff going on. The zombies are a HUGE let down. There are only 2 zombies maps and one of them (the more decent one) has to be unlocked by beating the first **** map. If you're buying this just for some zombie survival type gameplay stay far away. Zombies sucks.

    Multiplayer- Surprisingly not bad. Nothing too crazy, usual COD multiplayer. The "War" game mode is great if you have a good team who play the objective. The main problem is the maps. There are only 3 in "War" and 9 for the core game modes. This is way too small of an amount for a game that has a main focus of online multiplayer. I found 3 of the 9 maps to be pretty bad, 3 to be decent, and 3 were very well done and fun to play on. I feel let down as I know Activision won't add anything in for free so the $60 player is stuck with these maps forever most likely. Main problem with multiplayer is the hit detection. It's absolutely awful. Snipers can 1 hit kill without barely even looking at you, which makes aiming for snipers effortless and it takes a lot away from the competitive aspect of the game. The hit detection and weapon power just feel random, you can shoot someone dead with 3 bullets one minute, then need half a magazine to kill them the next. It feels really off and something that needs to be fixed in a future patch. The social space (headquarters) is useless as well. Adds nothing to the multiplayer whatsoever.

    Pros:
    Stunning graphics
    Good frame rate
    Fun campaign
    Health pack system is a great addition to single player
    War mode is a lot of fun
    Gameplay is solid and fun to play for the most part

    Cons:
    Awful hit detection online
    Zombies leave a lot to be desired
    Community is toxic
    Headquarters is useless

    Finally! Cod is back. Great game. The multiplayer is fun and i am very happy to see no jet pack wall run garbage. Dont listen to the zero raters. They are just mad their KDR is negative.

    Gráficamente el juego está bien, lo único que puedo decir bueno de el. El modo Zombies esta entretenido, y es totalmente diferente a los vistos hasta hoy. La historia de la segunda guerra mundial para nada se parece a lo que representa en este juego. Se han burlado de la gente. Metiendo mujeres en la segunda guerra mundial, uniformes inventados, armas fuera de su tiempo y pantallas lasGráficamente el juego está bien, lo único que puedo decir bueno de el. El modo Zombies esta entretenido, y es totalmente diferente a los vistos hasta hoy. La historia de la segunda guerra mundial para nada se parece a lo que representa en este juego. Se han burlado de la gente. Metiendo mujeres en la segunda guerra mundial, uniformes inventados, armas fuera de su tiempo y pantallas las cuales jamás hubo batalla alguna. Es un juego lleno de micro transacciones, fomentando la compra de productos ya que te muestra descaradamente lo que le toca al resto de jugadores. Los emblemas nazis "volaron", jamás podrás elegir uniforme aleman. Siendo americano juegas con armas alemanas, no te da opción a elegir. Sigo enamorado el Cod: World at War, un juego que sí cumplía con la historia, escenarios y soldados. pensaba que Activision por fin lo iba a volver a hacer, pero me equivoque. Han creado un juego de "guerra antigua" por llamarlo de alguna manera, para que los "niños rata" sean felices. Creando micro transacciones, matar por matar ya que no matas Nazis, sino alemanes que no han hecho nada; poniendo mujeres que apenas las hubo en los ejércitos alemanes ni americanos, creando las cajas de de premios "traga perras" Lo único que celebro, es que por fin se abandonen los malditos juegos futuristas.… Expand

    Каждый год выходит новая CALL OF DUTY, и я считаю, что серии нужно сделать перерыв.
    В этой игре графика улучшилась, но совсем немного, местами даже можно увидеть полный ужас, музыка не запоминающая, но и не плохая, механика игры осталась прежней.
    Сюжет в игре хорош, хоть и банален, пересказывать смысла нет. Рекомендую брать.    Каждый год выходит новая CALL OF DUTY, и я считаю, что серии нужно сделать перерыв.

    The developers finally returned to the Second World War and not every starry warriors there, I really liked it. I strongly advise you not to regret it! I do not know why all users put ratings 0-3 because this game pulls on all 11!

    but still such a good game good to see the game come back to its roots

    O jogo apresenta alguns erros sim. A campanha é curta (como sempre), o multi é massante e o desempenho no PC não é um primor... mas dar nota baixa ou zero como as pessoas vem fazendo é haterismo. O game voltou as origens e está bem maneiro. É perfeito? Longe disso, mas consegui me divertir e me emocionar pra caramba!

    Call of Duty is my college crush. We use to play this game on LAN hitting Head Shots. Boom. The New Version Brings the Graphic in a more Amazing way. I like the Surround Sound. ANd those Creepy Guns Shots. I will play have a tournament of this game soon.

    После прохождения новой WWII, к сожалению могу отметить, что игра не лишилась главного недостатка предыдущих частей - это всё тот же коридорный тир. К сильным сторонам WWII могу отнести относительно неплохой сюжет, качественную русскую локализацию, хорошие видеовставки между миссиями.
    Но есть и откровенно плохие моменты, связанные в первую очередь с технической реализацией:
    -кривые    После прохождения новой WWII, к сожалению могу отметить, что игра не лишилась главного недостатка предыдущих частей - это всё тот же коридорный тир. К сильным сторонам WWII могу отнести относительно неплохой сюжет, качественную русскую локализацию, хорошие видеовставки между миссиями.
    Но есть и откровенно плохие моменты, связанные в первую очередь с технической реализацией:
    -кривые скрипты (иногда противники начинают спавнится прямо перед глазами из воздуха, иногда также на ровном месте исчезают)
    -стрельба. Для игры, где основную долю времени нам приходится стрелять, получение удовольствия от стрельбы должно играть первостепенную роль. Но, ребята из sledgehammer games считают, что всаживать в противника по 4 выстрела в голову из пистолета или по 2 выстрела туда же из СВТ (калибра 7.62) это нормально; в противоречие себе же разработчики добавили стелс-миссии, где тот же пистолет убивает в голову уже с одного выстрела вместо четырех ¯_(ツ)_/¯
    -постановки спецэффектов. Представьте себе, если бы координатор спецэффектов из фильма Форсаж перешел работать в игровую индустрию. Вот тут примерно такая ситуация.
    Совсем забыл про графику. Обычно к ней придираются в каждой новой части игры. Мне графика в новой Call of duty понравилась, игра выглядит красиво, хотя местами прослеживаются низкополигональные модели из 2010 года.
    Мультиплеер игры наконец-таки перестал быть плохой копией Titanfall и вернулся к тому ,что мы видели ранее. Кардинальных изменений, в сравнении с предыдущими частями COD без вертикального геймплея, как таковых нет. В онлайне можно задержаться на 10-20 часов, потом скорее всего наскучит.
    В целом мы получили на выходе хорошую Call of duty, но крайне средний по нынешним меркам шутер.    … Expand

    At the beginning I was really skeptic but now I am totally surprised in positive way. I think this game is awesome.
    Pros: +graphics +audio +story +shooting +atmosphere +characters in your squad Cons: - I miss possibility to play for more nations - racing submissions - sometimes 3 hits with kar98k are not enough to kill enemy In conclusion, this    This is single-player review.

    is a game with a terrible downgrade, the same gameplay and the story mode is bland , I thought that this COD was going to be better game for its setting in World War II, but in the end this COD is a disappointment

    I don’t know about the historical authenticity of the missions in this game, but in terms of game-play and atmosphere, it’s a normal shooter. Well, if we consider this history, as if it were about some other World and the historical authenticity of our World would not be required, then the story itself is also made interesting.

    if you see it as an isolated COD game, i think its nice to go back to its WW2 roots, those grumpy on recycled content are just being whiny, if its based on WW2 as the title suggest, then of course we would expect the same battles, to which I think Activision and the Team at least bothered to come out with a narrative to try to    I think the game was okay, I would give it a solid 7.5/10

    To me, it was a nice blast to the past, but in modern Graphic, its no where near Epic like the original COD, or MOH of the early 2000s, BUT, played as it is, just a single player campaign, it is really okay.

    Just, simple 8-9hours of simple fun. If you don't have high expectations, its mighty fine!    … Expand

    This is a Review on the Single-player aspect of the game since I do not play multiplayer. Not having played any CoD game since modern warfare 2 I must say that not much have changed. I bought this game because of the WW2 setting, since I remember how much I loved the Campaign back in the good old Days when CoD first came out. Since then (what is it, 15 years ago?) not that much haveThis is a Review on the Single-player aspect of the game since I do not play multiplayer. Not having played any CoD game since modern warfare 2 I must say that not much have changed. I bought this game because of the WW2 setting, since I remember how much I loved the Campaign back in the good old Days when CoD first came out. Since then (what is it, 15 years ago?) not that much have changed really. The gameplay is pretty much the same and even the Graphics almost looks the same :). Well to be fair, I'm sure the Graphics is much better nowadays, but let's be clear that compared to Battlefield or any other modern AAA game, the Graphics is very sub-par. Only the cut-scenes provide 2018-graphics. But it still does it's job. After a few minutes, you do get indulged in the game, despite the "ugliness" of it. The story of the Campaign is interesting, believable and has a good (mandatory) variation of stealth, tank driving, vehicle driving, assault and air-plane flying. It is of course an arcade and not a simulation. So be prepared for one Sherman to take on several tigers and one P51 to take down 20+ enemy fighters, but I guess the kiddies demand action and not realism. The Campaign is nowhere near the excellent Campaign of Modern warfare, but at least, I was never bored and the difficulty was about right. The cut-scenes were well made. Coming from more open World like games like Battlefield, you do of course feel a bit claustrophobic since the playable area is very confined, and in most cases there's only one path to go. Some levels (the stealth ones) do however present you with a somewhat larger map where you can choose from at least two or Three different paths. To sum it up: If you want to play an interesting semi-realistic story-driven WW2 shooter Campaign, and can live with dated Graphics and mechanics, then this game is a definitive buy. If you've played any CoD-game Before (even the one that dates 15 years ago) you'll know exactly what to expect.… Expand

    single player story not interesting. too many cut scenes you CAN"T skip through

    multiplayer a bit better. but still 6v6 max.

    and what the hell happened to zombies? COD AW zombies was amazing. not this dross.

    -The multiplayer (which is why most people buy this franchise) is just as terrible as ever. Incredibly small maps,no strategy what so ever, and there are the classic 12 year olds calling you a **** all the time which by now is the standard for COD
    -I think everybody saw this coming. Lootboxes. It's pretty much the thing for the video game industry for 2017. If this continues in 2018 we're well and truly **** folks.

    Overall, i had a lot more fun with COD:WW2 than the other recent installments in the series. But that may be because of my liking of the campaign.    … Expand

    What does help is creative varied game play and an acknowledgement that the USA was not the only country to fight the Axis. This gets a quick mention at the start in truth but then its USA all the way. No option whatsoever to play another allied or axis nation which would have made the game a lot more diverse and interesting.

    Whats also flawed in this game is like so many others its reliance on "push button" cut scenes where you try to destroy your keyboard attempting to do something pointless like a early on and quite frankly God awful tussle with a German soldier armed with a bayonet. This could and in my opinion should have been left out. It added nothing and the clumsy approach taken to key/mouse combinations was a usability nightmare.

    In short, in my opinion, this is mediocre fare that's repetitive and feels awkward due to the weird mouse key combo's used in the annoying, on best left in the recycle bin ", interactive" cut scenes. 2/10 from me.    … Expand

I have also experienced shadow and texture pop-in, and more than one hard freeze.

    Add to this the fact that it took 3 system reboots and finally a launch in safe mode just to get the game to launch to the main menu.

    I am seriously disappointed with this game, seems like Activision doesn't really care about quality anymore so long as they can get a studio to crank out another installment every single year.

    Sledgehammer games did an amazing job on MW3, it is to this day one of my favorite in the franchise (MW2 takes the top spot) but this installment just doesn't seem to live up to the quality I hav experienced in other Sledgehammer games.

    I will say that the campaign was very good, and had what I thought was the best narrative of any CoD game in the last decade. I did play the campaign on the PS4 version however, as even with the lower fidelity and 30FPS, I had a noticeably more stable experience.

    In the end it is the technical difficulties that ruined the experience for me.

    Well done Activision, after two years of successfully avoiding your yearly copy and paste but somehow simultaneously getting worse and worse I relented and bought this - mainly due to my affection of World at War. Well, it turns out that eight-year-old game is better in every single way. Congrats on the hype train, I bought a ticket - and now, after one day, I'm getting off. Abysmal.

    Call of Duty: World War 2 could be the most beautiful and emotional title of the franchise to date, campaign-wise. The campaign is rich with classic world war drama and story-telling keeping players engaged. But the reality is, that short campaign pleasure isn't worth the full price, even with the presence of the multiplayer.

    The new Call of Duty is like a shopping list, in which the devs list one second-rate cliché after another. It's not always for the sake of it, but it's already making the WWII unique that everybody should play. [Issue#280]

    A magnificent, but also a sympathetic, unpretentious return to the roots of the series. Yet the campaign is short-lived, and your next experience depends on how much you enjoy the multiplayer and/or shooting Nazi zombies.
