    I liked the campaign, much better than any recent COD game. But when it comes to the multiplayer, where you will spend 99% of your time, its a different story. Maps seem to be designed for quantity over quality and they are not changed at all from mode to mode, so most maps are just barely OK for most modes, but are good with none of them. The amount of spam is also absolutely insane. Rocket launchers are everywhere, and are used by everyone because they allow even the worst player to score a couple kills minimum per life. Gas Grenades are also spammed constantly and cause you to have extremely blurred vision, scream shake, no ADS, and cause coughing, making you the easiest target on the battlefield. One of my biggest problems with multiplayer is the battle pass system. Fortnite started this system where you pay $10 to start and earn the rewards you payed for as you level up, and that was OK because Fortnite was the only one that did it and it was free to play. Now though, the system is being put into more and more games, and put into games that you have to pay full price for. I have about 80 hours in the game playing various online modes and I'm not even half way through the season one battle pass. The worst part of this system is you have to finish the battle pass to be given back the coins you put into it in the beginning. So you have to pay the $10, and then play the 160+ hours to get the $10 of virtual currency back so you don't have to waste $10 on the next battle pass. I usually have 2-3 multiplayer games at any given time that I spread my time between, but as this system is put into more and more games, I just can't spend that little time in each one. It's an incredibly annoying system, and I hate it. This game has so many other major and minor problems that I just can't explain here, but I would not recommend this game.… Expand

    Game is broken for many players. After months still many players cannot run this game. I personally refund it due to techinical problems. I had "gtx1070" but not sure if it's hardware problem or some software problems. Beside I update my system oftenly. Anyway, after checking many forums etc. I see this is not my problem only.     I only played the Warzone version. The audio is terrible, you can't hear where footsteps/arms fire are coming from accurately (you can hear footsteps to your right and start taking rounds from behind). The graphics are fuzzy and just overall garbage, I have well over 4k into my rig and everything on ultra 4k and the game looks like it can be ran perfectly fine on 600 series Nvidia. TheI only played the Warzone version. The game movements themselves don't feel smooth and incredibly clunky and mechanical. Hit registration is beyond the worst I have ever seen in a battle royale (YES FAR WORSE THAN H1Z1). This game just feels like it was put together by entry level developers and rushed out the door for a quick pay day which coming from Activision it's not surprising. The Warzone is F2P which is nice so you can check out this dumpster fire for yourself but there are much better options out there that are also F2P. Apex Legends has this game beat by a mile, heck even the children's game Fortnite is better than this. The only thing this game has going for it is the revive system. You can either fight in the Gulag, you win your back, you lose you wait for your teammates to gather the cash to buy you back in. That is the only reason I give this a 1 instead of a 0.… Expand

    I didn't play the campaign because it felt pointless due to there being no achievement but I heard good things about it
    Multiplayer aspect is complete utter trash

    Warzone was unnecessary the company is clearly trying to milk our money from us they could've focused on making one game instead of two since they are incompetent
    I got a tons of cons but Im done for now I uninstalled it wish i could get my money back gave it a chance during release when i couldn't play for the first few months due to their incompetent coding which caused crashing but i was patient and hoped they fixed but ultimately I was disappointed LAST COD I EVER BUYING    … Expand

    Matchmaking sux, rocketlauncher sux, played free weekend, it was a big fun, now the full version ist crap. why are shipment shoothouse and rust in quick play playlist? i dont get i... these maps have a own playlist!

    Playing cod since 2008.
    Played like 200 hours of this game.

    Graphics and animations are good.
    But the game itself isn't enjoyable.

    Campaign gives 0 feelings and multiplayer model is basically hello 2007 but worse.
    Feels like a cheap free2play shooter with modern shaders.

But the multiplayer is what killed the game for me starting with the SBMM that makes it really frustrating and not fun to play up against other player and that also camp. The maps are mixed some I like and don’t like but they are all made to camp.     Let's say if there's a problem, an issue, or anything that is negative - even if they are done by other countries - it should always be the Russians.

    The blame should ALWAYS be placed on the Russians. . the game should be renamed Call of Duty: Russian Warfare

    Got this game for free, because I bought an RTX card. It took ages to activate for some unknown reasons. Even login to Battle.net wasn't working properly. Once I finally managed to download the ridiculous 200Gb this game takes, I was met with constant crashes. The game also constantly switched to desktop. I still managed to make it work after way too much efforts for what it's worth, but got bored eventually. The raytracing looks very good in this game, but that's probably the most interesting thing about this game.

    I still wanted to finish the campaign eventually, but it won't let me play the single player if I won't update the game through the launcher. The thing is, the launcher broke AGAIN and won't let me update nor install anything new. After wasting another 1 or 2 hours trying to figure out what was wrong, the only solution was to delete and reinstall Battle.net and MW. Now I can finally download again the 200Gb and finally finish this mediocre game once the downloading will be done in 2 or 3 hours...

    This is utter ridiculous. If this is what it takes to avoid piracy in 2020, I don't want to be any part of this. You can be sure that I'll never buy anything using the Blizzard launcher.    … Expand

    I read from a poster this game is called Claymore duty modern campfare LOL. People camp more and more by the day. I just spent a whole team death match being spawn trapped at the same spawn that never flipped while the opposing team just rained down all kill streaks on us. WTF

    PC VERSION HAS ALWAYS-ONLINE DRM GARBAGE you can not play offline you need a constant internet connection even for the single player part. Campaign is very short and very linear and the story is garbage with evil russians and some good middle east people it's clearly pushing a certain political agenda. Multiplayer is nothing new and there are server connection issues in many countries

However, from the beginning and after a few updated, cut-scenes kept breaking, so it was hardly possible to watch them. How such broken game could even be released? Well. Anyway.     It has a ridiculous story, uninspired campaign, dumb AI, extremely boring missions with lack of scale and without any "wow moments" series is known for. Graphically it looks terrible even on PC with maxed out settings — the final product is nothing like it's trailers. Location's design is also unmemorable. Developers are trying to hide the game's ugliness in the dark (80% of the game is taking place at night or in dark buildings), but it isn't working. Also, there isn't any music playing on most levels. What the hell Activision?

    And, yeah, Infinity Ward also lied about "grey morale": all Russian soldiers are evil in the sake of being evil. They are killing civilians, women and children without any reasons or logic behind their actions. If you are trying to make an interesting enemy — at least give them SOME motivation or ideology. Even Nazis in the COD: WW2 wasn't such monsters as Russians in new COD: MW. The Americans and British soldiers, in contrast, are heroes that even in the "torture" episode aren't actually torturing anyone. You can't even shot the terrorist's wife in the leg to make him talk — the game won't allow you to. Because Americans never tortured any terrorists in Guantanamo or Iraqi prisons, of course. Or 'cause USA and UK are the most important markets for COD games. It isn't the game about the dark side of war as they promised. It isn't a fun shooting gallery as previous COD games. It's the stupidest, tasteless propaganda I've seen in my entire life. Activision is trying to be provoking, but they don't have balls to do it properly. For example, we all understand that this fictional Urzikstan country is meant to represent Syria, but devs are afraid to say it out loud.

    If you don't give a ..ck about the singleplayer campaign — I have bad news for you, 'cause multiplayer sucks too. It's trying to be the COD, Battlefield and Counter-Strike at the same time... and it fails to be anything. It's too laggy, unpolished and unplayable.

    Modern Warfare (2019) is the worst part of Call of Duty. Actually, it's the worst shooter I've played in years. And it's one more disappointment in a neverending chain of disappointments from modern Activision-Blizzard. I'm just too sick of their s..tty games, microtransactions and politics, so, I've deleted my Battle.net account.    … Expand

    I bought the game to play COOP with a friend. We tried to defeat the swarm for 2 hours after purchase but realised its badly written. I immediately asked for refund but they refused... avoid it...

    The trash doesn't even run properly on PC. No optimization for PC at all, it's a crime they charge what they do for this game. I feel bad even having the 118GB on my hard drive with this game, knowing there is better games out there that could use that 118GB.

I thought I could put up with the microtransaction hell, the **** micro-maps, the blatant anti-Russian racism and even the blatant cheating that Activision does nothing about, but the constant nagging promos telling me I can get stuff for FREE if I BUY a battlepass are gonna DRIVE ME OVER THE EDGE, MAN!

    Campaign is literally unplayable, multiplayer is poor, and it took a year to release 1/3 of the game and the only reason I owned it. Just as I did with BO4, I'll give this Always Online game the Certified Dog**** award! Congratulations!

    God forbid Activision grow a sack and show such depictions of the Chinese government, who are committing serial human rights abuses as we speak. But I guess they can't help but lick the boot in that regard.

    The spec ops mode is stale and boring, nothing there to keep players coming back or maintain interest in the mode. Maybe Survival would be interesting, but who knows because we won't get to play it for a year because Activision decided to deepthroat Sony until it gagged. Disgusting.

    Multiplayer is more of the same you come to expect from CoD. Overpowered weapons, rampant camping, and uninteresting rewards. No bots in Ground War either, which means that mode will be as dead as a doornail come this same time next year when the new CoD is out and everyone migrates.

    I thought this game might get me back into this series. I was wrong. It pushed me away for good. This isn't a revival of what made the older games great. It isn't even a worthy reboot. It's the same trash that's been peddled by Activision for years with just enough nostalgia included that enough people just might be anesthetized to the underlying reality that the game is - at its core - a dumpster fire.

    The customization, the weapons, everything.
    But oh my god, the community is an ABSOLUTE JOKE.

    Everyone just camps in corners with shotguns.
    Everyone is just hiding in bushes in prone.

    And because of the really low TTK, it's encouraged to camp.
    Leaving no time to react.

No skill just randomness: In battlefield you really have to deliver all your shots accurately and make sure that spread is not stealing hits as a person you were shooting at could always turn around and kill you off if you are not accurate, when in COD all you have to do is just randomly shoot as TTK is soooooo high that chances of a noob vs pro are almost equal, CS GO had the same problem and they've fixed it and now skill is what matters, but in COD the dumbest gun is capable of delivering instant kills.

    2. The most retarded TTK: Skill based shooter determines itself basically, it's about recoil control, spread control, map knowledge, reading your opponents moves, listening to footsteps, quickly reacting and concentrating, concentrating, concentrating. All these actions mentioned above are actually good and healthy for your brain, you are learning how to concentrate and act/make decisions in an intense conditions. With a high TTK all these are crossed out it's more matter of luck than skill, it's matter of shooting first and not shooting accurately with purpose, it's all. as i've mentioned, about randomness and not calculated actions. If this game had lower TTK it really had a chance of becoming one of the best shooters, but it is what it is and it is worst and faaaaaar behind Battlefield series (yeah keep flaming COD fans)

    3. Camping: Ground war? forget about it, should be called a camper war, every single bush, or a tree or a window is shooting deadly 50 cal round, it is just funny how COD players call themselves a skilled players, go to CS 1.6 test your might! BF had the similar issue with camping and what they did? they've crossed out 1 shot kills with sniper rifles unless you hit the head since bf 3 and even if you take BF 1 (brilliant game!) in consideration it takes quite a knowledge of a gun to get into those sweet spots and get those kills, in COD though, just mount a scope lie on you belly and wait for those rabbits to run pass and pull the trigger... And overall due to high TTK and one shot kill tolerance the tempo of the game is dropped and it's more about camping than tactical play or an aggressive play, I cant even tell you the amount of times I've either lost or won the GW matches with defcon and nukes. It would have been funny if it wasn't sad.

    3. It's a console game: Why? "Skill based shooter determines itself basically, it's about recoil control, spread control, map knowledge, reading your opponents moves, listening to footsteps, quickly reacting and concentrating, concentrating, concentrating" yeah you can do that or just turn on the Aim Assist :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D I though cheating was no no in games, well not for cod they've actually made it legal. Crossplay is pointless they've been given such edge with Aim Assist that going against that with a mouse and high hopes is not so easy. Once again 0 necessity in skill!

    Now I do not hate everything about the game. Sounds, graphics, motion etc. are taken almost to perfection, the game feels really good, you can actually feel each and every bullet you land on someone, It's these issues listed above that make it unplayable. The game should be much better and it has the potential of being better, simply pull up TTK with couple of rounds, eliminate randomness and cross out one shot kills and it's a perfect game, even with the Aim Assist, you know what I can challenge anyone with aim assist if the TTK and Bolts are fixed, you console guys would be sooo easy to kill. . . But if not fixed and im sure it wont be, it's just a con that lured me and many other BF players into COD, from now on I'll be really careful with this title!    … Expand

    The campaign is super frustrating and not a lot of fun. There is one mission where you are a kid and barely get to do anything at all. I don't even want to finish the game. What a waste of money. The voice sync is horrible and you get stuck in dead-ends (e.g., Wolfs Den flaming ladder).

    This is a nice game. If we compare it to previous call of duties since bo3. But as a game itself it's awful piece of crap. Its unplayable, disbalanced, bagged, overweighted and overrated product for people with damaged brain. And relevant community and content. This game and its sales is an indicator of how dumb most of people are.

    It’s hard to tell why there was so much ado about single-player campaign: controversial topics aside, it’s completely mediocre. On the other hand, the multiplayer mode is one of the best in latest instalments of Call of Duty series. [Issue#241, p.49]
