    Now before I go to my review, I wanna say that this is all about the Multiplayer aspect of the game. The campaign is what I enjoyed the most in this game but unfortunately, I'm giving it a 2/10 for good reasons.

    Now I spent a lot of time playing this game, and while I did enjoy some of it, most of it was just infuriating to say the least. Let's start with the obvious: 1. The campers.    Now before I go to my review, I wanna say that this is all about the Multiplayer aspect of the game. The campaign is what I enjoyed the most in this game but unfortunately, I'm giving it a 2/10 for good reasons.

    Now I spent a lot of time playing this game, and while I did enjoy some of it, most of it was just infuriating to say the least. Let's start with the obvious:

    1. The campers.

    This is undoubtedly unavoidable as you will always find that one person head-glitching through a window or a small bump just to kill you without even moving an inch. It makes it worse thanks to the Shrek-like footsteps that you can hear from a mile away. But just imagine spending $60 to play a game sitting in a corner, to sit in a corner. 200GB, to sit in a corner. Just stop.

    2. The Cheaters

    Yes, cheating is very common on PC, unfortunately. But since Cross-play is a thing in this game, it's unfair for those on consoles as well. You get aim-bots, wall-hackers and lots more (Thank God there's no God Mode) and unfortunately, the Anti-Cheat does jack **** most of the time. The developers even get innocent players banned... how cool is that?

    3. The Low Tick-Rate Servers

    This is what almost takes the cake on the negative review here. The tick-rate is approx. about 22hz and that is painfully low. You peek out to shoot a guy but guess what, not even 3 bullets but on the first shot with an M13, you die. On the kill cam, he shoots 3 bullets. A billion dollar company can't afford 60hz because Activision.

    4. The overuse of Overpowered weapons (i'm talking about you, 725....)

    Yup, this says it all. M4A1, 725 Shotgun, MP5, every try-hard would use these babies and unfortunately, they're too strong. Luckily, there's always a way to avoid or fight back against them but still, OP is OP. Mixing these with Camping is a ticket straight to a special place in hell.

    5: Aim-assist is too strong

    I've tested this myself to find out that Aim-assist is almost like aim-bot in some cases. It's just too strong. M&K requires skill to control your gun. Controller, gun goes brrrr. This is why Cross-Play is hated.

    And finally, the cake - SBMM

    Yup, Skill-Based Matchmaking in this game is too tight and forced on the CASUAL SERVERS. Meaning that if you're getting too good getting nukes all over the place, you'll suddenly get obliterated by 6 Doom Slayers. (Speaking of which, play Doom Eternal. It's better.) I remember when SBMM wasn't forced on Casual, but Ranked. I never play ranked, cause I'm a casual player. But SBMM be like "Oh, got 30 kills in your first game? Let me put you against Hell itself."

    Casual should not have SBMM. Period. Keep it on Ranked, where it should be.

    And that is it, I can't help but uninstall this 200GB garbage to install a smaller game that's still 60x better than this. I'm going back to DOOM Eternal.    … Expand

    Прошел MW, в отличии от большинства здесь отметившихся. Очень короткая и скучная. Не понял, что за кипишь и где там русских выставляют террористами, как многие считают, даже не поиграв. Там один генерал стал террористом и командовал своей личной бандой. Такое в куче фильмов можно встретить про персонажей различных наций. Фильм "Скала" - там все американцы стали террористами? Нет.     Другое дело, что мультиплеер не играбелен по ряду причин. Карты - говно с миллионом щелей со всех сторон из-за чего не реально предугадать из какой дыры в тебя прилетит. Ты можешь слушать в каких угодно наушниках, но прилетать в тебя все равно будет откуда угодно. Поэтому проще сидеть в темном углу, как все и делают. Никому не интересно бегать и спавниться каждую секунду. При разнице в пингах играть становится проблематично, тут и низкий ттк вносит свою лепту. Не знаю, есть ли сервера в РФ и почему пинг в одном раунде 40, а в другом 80, но и я, и мой кд, остро ощущаем эту разницу.    … Expand

    PC VERSION HAS ALWAYS-ONLINE DRM GARBAGE you can not play offline you need a constant internet connection even for the single player part. Campaign is very short and very linear and the story is garbage with evil russians and some good middle east people it's clearly pushing a certain political agenda. Multiplayer is nothing new and there are server connection issues in many countries

    It's sad, because otherwise the game is technically pretty good. The weapon leveling system is the worst I've ever seen.     Меня очень разозлило то, как показали русских в игре. Даже в начале, когда был отдан приказ "не трогать русских", было очевидно, что убитые игроком противники-русские. В главного злодея нет мотивации. Солдат России показывают, настоящими зверьми, да, везде такие есть, в любой стране, Арми и ТД есть плохие люди, но не поголовно каждые же. Русских показывают, как солдат фашистской ГерманииМеня очень разозлило то, как показали русских в игре. Даже в начале, когда был отдан приказ "не трогать русских", было очевидно, что убитые игроком противники-русские. В главного злодея нет мотивации. И самое интересное, в миссии, где говорится "дорога смерти" героиня говорит, что на том шоссе бомбили русские, то есть отсылка, к настоящему военному преступлению американской армии в Ираке была переложена на плечи русских солдат.это качественный продукт в плане стрельбы, графона, звуков и мультиплеера, но эти неплохие плюсы перекрывает один жирнейший минус в лице слабейшей компании с огромнейшей пропогандой… Expand

    Yo no se nada de la polémica rusa y no voy a entrar en ello, pero en pc el juego parece un early acces, problemas de rendimiento en cinemáticas de la campaña (lo que lo hace injugable en mi opinión), spec ops con muchos bugs, cuelgues recurrentes, en caso de algunos usuarios incluso apagados de su pc por completo ( con el posible daño que esto pueda ocasionar al equipo).

I thought I could put up with the microtransaction hell, the **** micro-maps, the blatant anti-Russian racism and even the blatant cheating that Activision does nothing about, but the constant nagging promos telling me I can get stuff for FREE if I BUY a battlepass are gonna DRIVE ME OVER THE EDGE, MAN!

    I feel this could be actually good game, didn't play multiplayer yet. But campaign is fun and there is less input lag, than in other cod games. Cod games were plagued by high input lag last x years!

    It is already half of year from release and it is still not fixed. This game has 200 GB, which is crazy! I can't even play it, it freezes so often for so long... I tried pretty much everything and i read, it is known issue game freezing !!!

    Multiplayer is freezing only when i spawn, still annoying. It is hard to see even on ultra, game is less clear than call of duty 4! Also there is high input lag, but it is better than in call of duties from last x years. Only thing, which amazing on this game is graphics. Multiplayer is okay, while it is more like a mod. You can't chose exact mode to play and there are some of good maps. There are still more negatives than positives...

    Oh and btw tick rate in 24, you won't be able to react and who runs from corner gets advantage usually, so it is like sloth machine. 24 is very low like for br...    … Expand

    Нет выбора карты, в этой серии игр избавились от ДЛС, но в замен мы получаем рема стеры карт, мм свежий контент и они не работают при данном темпе игр, но дальше еще лучше выходит вар зон и игра тонет в тонне микро патчей и теперь при каждом входе в игру я захожу в настройки и настаиваю графику ведь она теперь постоянно сбрасывается, а сегодня в столь замечательный день у меня игра выкидывает после окончания матча, нет она не выкидывает в тандемное время, именно когда закончится матч и не важно какой режим и как долго будет он длится, конец матча = вылет на рабочий стол.
    и можно еще миллион и маленькую тележку претензий написать: вхождение в прицел у половины пушек просто мучение, освещение очень часто идут какие-то пересветы и ты просто на контрасте не замечаешь противница, карты поломаны и так далее. Очень жаль, на таком фоне даже блэк опс 4 выглядит уже не так плохо.    … Expand

It’s too controversial and offensive to them. Also, expect unlocking modes of gun, there is no motivation to play multiplayer. Map design is catastrophic and awful, and even gun balances are not good at all. I think theyMultiplayer’s customization quality and atmosphere of story mode achieved big advancements.     You'd think after 16 years Activision and Infinity Ward could come out with something that isn't hot garbage. Well, think again. While this game is sometimes fun, hence my score of one, most of the time it is just a laggy un-optimized POS. I don't know what they were thinking when they were doing the PC port, but they messed up bad. The recommended CPU for this game is an i5-2500K. I have an i5-6600K. While my CPU isn't the newest one on the market, it is pretty superior to the recommended CPU. That must not matter however, because almost every second of playing this game, my CPU is maxed out. In menus and in game, even at very low settings, Modern Warfare seems to eat up processing power. This in turn causes bottle necking of my GPU, causing frame skips.

    The optimization of this game is just one of the many problems. Almost worse is this game's net code. More often than not, your shots will not register. Even though you see an enemy first, shoot first, and have a superior gun, you will get lasered instantly.

    I don't write reviews almost ever, but I am so done with this game. I want to dissuade anybody from buying this pile of trash. If you are looking for a realistic military shooter, I would check out Insurgency: Sandstorm. If you are looking for a more fast paced shooter, i would recommend something like Battlefield 4. It may be an old game, but it is very good and still has constantly full servers. I'm going to take a break from this game and try to go back to BO4, and see if it has improved any.    … Expand

    This Critic is based on the Multiplayer itself. Well like many ppl here it seems im not the only one who created an Account just to rate this horrific game. I´ve played it about 27h to really be able to rate it well. I really hoped that this COD was finally a banger again.A boots on the ground modern scenery.
    But we all know how it ended up! The release day was the worst in COD history,    This Critic is based on the Multiplayer itself. Well like many ppl here it seems im not the only one who created an Account just to rate this horrific game. I´ve played it about 27h to really be able to rate it well. I really hoped that this COD was finally a banger again.A boots on the ground modern scenery.
    But we all know how it ended up! The release day was the worst in COD history, it wouldn´t even connect and after waiting 2h in the loading screen my release day was over i couldnt take it anymore.
    While continuing playing the first weeks there were a lot of things that annoyed me for example: the insanly loud steps that made it so easy for noobs to spot you and made rushing impossible, the extremely op weapons (M4 , 725 etc. ), the amount of campers, nobody was moving at all ( TDM basically never hit the 75 mark ), the insane camperspots the bad player abused to get kills. Another big problem were the maps. They were extremely boring , bad designed & had not enough variety compared to other COD´s. I still continued playing since finally the big update came & everybody hoped for big changes.And another time activision failed us by not giving us what we deeply want. They nerfed the M4 and the 725 but misbalanced other weapon , they didn´t nerfed the volume of the step as much as needed & they gave us another not needed battle pass with new weapons which started to be op as fk. So it was the basic Activision move, which they do every year. A few other negative parts of the game are
    - the headshot bonus dmg: that almost oneshot u with every weapon doesnt matter if its a mp or a secondary
    -the lean on mechanism: is the worst funtions of all time. it basically allows camper to increase their efficiency to another level. No recoil at all.
    -The OP overkill perk: compared to other COD´s this perk gives you what you ever wanted 2 full equiped guns at one time. its so unbalanced and so stupid. why would you ever allow that?
    -The creation of the rpg dudes: Ive never ever seen a COD with that amount of noobtuber. if they hit you and didnt kill you they immediately switched to the rpg ( they got a perk for quiker switching and reload time for the rpg ) and finished you. Its the worst behavior supported frome the game.
    -The spawns: we already been to rough spawn systems in cod ( B04 , Ghost etc. ) but this cod makes it even worse they eliminated spawn pushing and created a never ending circle of we push A they spawn C. We push C they spawn A. But its not the only bad example: they spawn next to you , behind you or in the same place at the same time as you do . Better example is the map shipment , its the biggest **** show ive ever seen !
    -The attachments: Every weapon has a lot of attachments to modify your weapon. Atleast it seems like, there is. They addded basically 80% of trash to the attachments. 20 different sights, useless stocks & specials just to fake variety.
    - Make the noobs happy: one of the biggest problems with this game is the fact that they made the game for noobs to enjoy it. Thats the reason camping is so strong. They added the aim speed factor to the game so you improve the aim speed to play aggresive while your weapon gets less precisise. the camper add more precise to their weapons because they dont need that fast aim speed for camping = outplayed.
    After 27h of playing the game im just disappointed & sad that my hope were once again crushed.

    Game keeps crashing... Sometimes dev error, fatal error, CTD without error message or windows bluescreen, wtf. Unplayable on my gtx 1080 and i7 3770k, win 10 with 12Gb RAM....

    It feels like there is every week a more then 20GB Patch!
    That makes it for me nearly unplayable, I have absolutely no understanding for what reason the patches have to be that big EVERY TIME?! Even Star Citizen, a game still in full development, manages to keep most patches relatively small. The best Part is that you can not event Play Single-Player without make all the updates...
    When    It feels like there is every week a more then 20GB Patch!
    That makes it for me nearly unplayable, I have absolutely no understanding for what reason the patches have to be that big EVERY TIME?!     I have a relatively high performance gaming PC and have never had any trouble running any games whatsoever. This game ran flawlessly for me throughout the beta and for about a month after release. But a couple patches in, I started to experience a multitude of crashing issues that got progressively worse with each new patch added to the game. I have tried countless fixes and nothing has helped at all. I was scammed for $80 to install 215GBs of broken, useless garbage. And Blizzard refuses to give refunds to those of us who literally can not even run the game. What an absolute joke. This is the last time I pay for anything made by Activision.… Expand

    I did enjoy the game when I could play it but can only give 0 points when I can't even play it!
    The patches being so big is bad enough but when the patches break the game and make you download it all again is just stupid, and no real apology about it from devs.
    Now it puts me in server queue but when it loads it just gives error and quits to desktop, same for friends.

    There is bug everywhere. I can try to play it 24h a day and you might not get to max level. XP battlepass in not working. I tried support everywhere and no one respond.     The game has so much potential to be great but is ruined by the poor map design which contributes to the camping gameplay. There was so many times in this COD where the match has rarely has kills because everyone is too afraid to move. When you rush there's always someone hiding in a corner or in a building. The Ground War mode is fun but they're not playing it the COD way either. Camping there too and cheese tactics. I was expecting this COD to be fun from the high reviews I've seen but it just comes off as a slower Battlefield game now.

    The game heavily needs a redesign on the maps to fix this issue because right now it ruins the game and makes it unfun. I understand camping is part of the game but this is way too much bull to even enjoy by this point. Only one out of every five games have actually been true fun. The rest? People set up tents. It's a shame too. The graphics and design are beautiful but the Multiplayer is boring. That's the biggest problem too, that is supposed to be the biggest selling point of the game and it truly is failing.

    5 out of 10 in this state. They need to improve the gameplay and make it fun like before. This is just plain boring and a waste of my 80 dollars. At this point I find PUBG to be more fun. Even in a BR game players are more aggressive there. Imagine paying 60 bucks to sit in a corner. This slow paced gameplay isn't for COD.    … Expand

I think they tried to make more "serious" CoD this time, but only managed to take away all the things that made CoD-Series somewhat fun. Map design in general is really bad imo. As soon as bullets start flying you get .3-.5 second freeze which means you die in this game. Not to mention overall garbage map design and map modes.     This game has so many issues with stability on PC, it crashes every session within 15 minutes. Game size is enormous - almost 200GB - and patches (50GB+) never solve any of these stability issues.

    I wanted to play this game for the Battle Royal mode (Warzone). It is so broken you can not even be in a gun fight. The game closes and even after several re boots it still does not work. Do not even try it.

    Every time I'm not playing this game, I'm thinking how much I want to play CoD, but then I boot up the game and remember that this isn't CoD. It's some garbage version of Battlefield because the only playable game mode is Ground war and that still sucks. It also means that claymores have such a huge range that the best strategy is to put them in a corner, preferably right in front of you as you hold your shotgun out and wait for someone too run by. People say you should just adapt, but that's not fun. Why would I want to play that way?… Expand

    The story is absurdly simple, recovering a chemical weapon that blablablabla, the story is segmented into small operations that in maximum difficulty took few attempts to complete, and I must say that at certain times the game is a bit unfair, to the point that in realistic mode, this game feels like an Uncharted, where you shoot, hide, and shoot again until there are no NPCs on screen.

    There are many characters that literally have a line of dialogue, like Yegor or many others.

    Captain Price's charisma gets diluted as he appears on the screen, and it seems that only in the kinematics you can distinguish part of that soul that characterizes him.

    The gameplay has improved a great deal, with weapons now having a recoil that is erratic and more like the vibration of a controller than a 5.56mm rifle. (In my opinion there is no better recoil control than that of the Rainbow Six Siege). The decisions and little things like deciding to be part of the torture of the butcher, make me feel more inside, I just regret that these decisions are a mere circumlocution to offer me the same story with the same shots but with different lines of dialogue.

    Without a doubt the most enjoyable thing for me was:
    The night missions, no doubt, the graphic section and the dynamic lights have been a joy to play.
    The mission in the sniper's nest, the physics of the bullets were very good.
    And finally, the WarZone mode, which offers many possibilities both tactical and strategic, and the game is a real experience when you enjoy it with friends.

    I think I've been very benevolent with the release, I think the problems with the servers are unacceptable, and that the progress is based entirely on the hours of gameplay in "how much you kill and how extravagant", the battle passes are a rip-off, and it's just that you need to play for many hours every day to complete it, and I don't think that's dignified.

    The campaign choked me in many points because in realistic mode the enemies blow you up with two bullets, but still it was very short, excessively short, to say that the continuous story mode in special operations is very generous and that those are almost mini-games, wherewith two well-armed friends, the missions are a joke.
    I could get a thousand hits out of it, but I want to give the game a vote of confidence since it has introduced in me the desire to see what will happen next.    … Expand

    Game makes CPU spike to 100% and barely uses GPU. In menu or in game this makes my computer a brick. Discord, Youtube, Spotify, NOTHING WORKS when this game is booted up. Not to mention it randomly crashes every second or third game. The worst part is the game is good and fun when it works.... it just doesn't work though.

The issue, however, in this game is the terrible cutscenes in between missions that don't play properly. They stutter and buffer from start to finish and I had to quit the campaign and watch it in the menu just to see what the context was each mission.     The multiplayer however is very bad compared to the classic games that this game is trying to appeal to. The new maps specific for this game are for the most part seem fine but the main thing that trashes everything is this the horrendous respawns. You can literally be killed and spawn in front of the same enemy that kills you sometimes. This creates a big issue with the way a vast majority of people play the game and that's camping. So the way people used to play the previous games was using the keyboard and pressing the forward key (w) but in this game, you get punished for doing that because of horrific spawns. You get spawned far too close to enemies most of the time depending on the map and it really makes you want to stay still cause they will simply walk around the corner and you can kill them. The servers as well are really laggy and you'll end up rubberbanding so often.
    If these developers ever decide to fix the spawn locations where you spawn away from the enemies regardless of where your team is then I'll consider this a decent game that I'd recommend to people. Otherwise this doesn't capture the magic of why I loved the modern warfare series at all.

    The maps also need more flanking routes in order to eliminate the problem of campers. The maps need to encourage people to get up and move otherwise they should just make more maps like shipment and rust which are just cluster ***** but fun and equal for everyone. Basically, story is ok, multiplayer is not ok at the moment.    … Expand

    Gameplay Is nice on a high end system and graphics in campaing look amazing with RTX, but the game is very badly optimized for people using older hardware. Some have said It runs just fine while others say it's barely playable. Campaing story fell short from what I had hoped.
    All and all a divisive game.

    I like CoD 2019. Beautiful graphic. Gun handling. But i simply can't play this F....NG game. Campers, cheaters and just broken game issues just terrible! You first saw the enemy - you die. Just like that. This is a joke. Joke is average players for this game. I don't care about russiaphobian campaign. And i'm a russian. But i'm just mad about multiplayer **** they did.     Сингл геймплейно скучный, унылый, со старыми косяками в геймдизайне.
    Мультиплеер стал чутка другим и вроде даже норм, но на долго не хватило.
    Итог зря потратил деньги на игру

Это была первая Call of Duty, что я купил, и теперь смело могу заявить, что последняя.     Firstly, the game is so laggy even I'm using the newest AW pc. It also crashed several times without any reason.
    More important thing is, MW series was famous with its incredible story, I can still remember the scenes in which Captain passed me the pistol and killed Zakhaev on the bridge, General Shepherd betrayed Roach and    OK, I registered metacritic just to give this game a 0 score.

However, this MW story is so weak that even a school boy can tell a better one. I don't really care why you always choose russians as enemy, but at least the players deserve a better story than this. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE MW BETTER, AT LEAST PLS DON'T RUIN IT! I'm so disappointed and prob will not buy the next COD game.    … Expand

    I only played the Warzone version. The audio is terrible, you can't hear where footsteps/arms fire are coming from accurately (you can hear footsteps to your right and start taking rounds from behind). The graphics are fuzzy and just overall garbage, I have well over 4k into my rig and everything on ultra 4k and the game looks like it can be ran perfectly fine on 600 series Nvidia. TheI only played the Warzone version. The game movements themselves don't feel smooth and incredibly clunky and mechanical. Hit registration is beyond the worst I have ever seen in a battle royale (YES FAR WORSE THAN H1Z1). This game just feels like it was put together by entry level developers and rushed out the door for a quick pay day which coming from Activision it's not surprising. The Warzone is F2P which is nice so you can check out this dumpster fire for yourself but there are much better options out there that are also F2P. Apex Legends has this game beat by a mile, heck even the children's game Fortnite is better than this. The only thing this game has going for it is the revive system. You can either fight in the Gulag, you win your back, you lose you wait for your teammates to gather the cash to buy you back in. That is the only reason I give this a 1 instead of a 0.… Expand

    Single player is a fairly solid piece, game play is really good and definitely is the highlight of the whole game. Visuals are fantastic, and sound design is one of the best in the business. The story however lacks any real depth, it brings nothing interesting to the table. Villains are as cardboard cutout and boring as most of the messages the game is trying to smash you upside the head with. America good. Russia bad. War sometimes bad. Using highway of death as reference but plastering the Russians as the perpetrators, that's fairly low even for the CoD standards. I mean props to the developers for recreating the real world events, but they missed the mark by not showing at least some shades of grey to all the factions. That said it is nice that the protagonists native to the middle east are shown in a more complex light. And are certainly the strongest part of the story for it.
    Moving on, to the Spec Ops modes.
    The survival modes are completely unplayable by one person, and bullet sponging enemies put first Division to shame. They become a boring unenjoyable mess almost immediately.

    Now for the multiplayer. Main reason for myself to buy it. As a Veteran of the series. Starting with World at War, through MW2, Black Ops, MW3, up to Black Ops 2 up to abysmal Advanced Warfare where my experience with the Multiplayer and call of duty in general ended due to its horrific design, story and general presentation. Not to mention from that point on wards broken multiplayer. I was excited to see what the remake has to offer in the online aspect. With it's back to the routes message and generally more grounded and realistic aesthetic. And the game does a lot right. Customisation of the weapons is excellent. Gunplay and visuals are top notch, and the developers have tried to mix the formula a little by introducing modes usually associated with other games. After spending many hours I have managed to completely give up on the whole game, I enjoyed it about as much as broken arcade claw machine. To pinpoint the major issues multiplayer has one must first look at the basic mechanics where game immediately falls flat on its face. Spawns are awfully thought through if at all, and that further emphasise the abysmal map design. It is complete chaos, there is no structure or strategy in any way. Formless mindless contest of who has the best net code and can drop shot the quickest. Every game mode and game type feels like free for all as there is no killzones or choke points or power positions. Enemies and friendlies are running around like headless chickens trying to hopefully flank the enemy before someone kills them from the side or rear. It is nerve racking, frustrating beyond ridiculousness and dumbs down the experience completely eliminating as much skill, planning, positioning and teamplay as possible. Furthermore, Jesus alone knows how the matchmaker works. My very first game at level 1 I was put in the game against entire team composed of players with level 100 or above. This trend remains and every single game I have ever played. I have been put in games with players with triple and quadruple gametime and level to mine. Resulting in the worst display of seal clubbing, spawn trapping and camping that has ever existed in any videogame. I have not learned anything about the maps, weapons, positioning or tactics in any meaningful way. To only later realise that there is none. Aside from seemingly endless supply of campers and Colonel Level 100 worthy no life having players, there is nothing.
    To try to mitigate the clear disparity between the skills and arsenal of enemies and myself I have jumped in to Ground War, to discover that it is basically a Battlefield copy not a bad thing in itself. Playing objectives or supporting the team might give some satisfaction if you are still new and trying to grasp the maps, controls and unlock some weapons and attachments. Unfortunately is not a particularly a particularly good copy of Battlefield. Vehicles are idiotic and handle about as well and realistic as a tetris cube. There is no team play or any form of incentive to play objectively and cooperatively. No medics, no repair of vehicles, Rocket launchers are completely pointless, Javelin doesn't destroy a helicopter for example, and cherry on top of this lousy excrement infested cake, is omnipresent Camping. Because of completely awful map design, lack of any form of team based gameplay even in objective based massive game modes, camping is the only viable strategy.
    To conclude.
    Do not get fooled with amazing graphic and brilliant gunplay, this is one of the most infuriating, poorly thought through, frustrating, dumb downed experiences CoD series has to offer. It is the best of all the "new" Call of Duty titles (Advanced Warfare and above) but that is like saying it is the least intrusive and unpleasant venereal disease. Do yourself a favour, buy it on sale, or don't buy it at all. It is alright at very best.    … Expand

If you've got money to burn I'd recommend you to take the literal approach and actually burn it, rather than support a greedy company that sells blatantly defective products. Though to be fair you might get an equal amount of heat coming from your PC, as this has your CPUIt seems to me that Activision and Infinity Ward payed the critics to praise this unoptimized plate of turds delight. If you've got money to burn I'd recommend you to take the literal approach and actually burn it, rather than support a greedy company that sells blatantly defective products. Though to be fair you might get an equal amount of heat coming from your PC, as this has your CPU running at 100% LOAD! Between this, the random crashes and freezes you might as well buy a sculpture of a hand flipping you off as it accurately portrays how the developers regard the costumers experiencing these problems.

    TL;DR: This game is so poorly optimized that when the EU introduces more consumer rights regarding software by the end of 2021, I'm certain this will actually be illegal to sell. Activision will have either fixed these problems by then (as if) or stopped selling it.    … Expand

    Seldom have I seen a worse made game. The gameplay itself is decent, but the regular 30GB patches (which barely change anything in the game), its already enourmous size to begin with (~200GB) and its poor performance make this game look like an alpha of an indi game.
    Charging more than 10 Euros is comparable to an insult.

    It’s hard to tell why there was so much ado about single-player campaign: controversial topics aside, it’s completely mediocre. On the other hand, the multiplayer mode is one of the best in latest instalments of Call of Duty series. [Issue#241, p.49]

    It’s undeniably well-made albeit controversial part of the series. One that tries to break the mold and open itself to another kind of player. It’s worth of praise, even if just for that. I recommend it especially to Battlefield players – you may be pleasantly surprised. [13/2019, p.50]

    Modern Warfare is not a stellar game, but decent first-person shooters about modern conflicts are so few and far between that it’s surprisingly satisfying.
