    Pros:
    - Graphics and lighting are bumped up and look really great
    - Very interesting campaign if you never played original one
    - It's a must play game forever

    Cons:
    - Frame rate drops sometimes on the PC not frequently, but still plays fine
    - Price is still concern for 6 hrs campaign only game

    Отличный ремастер. Графика красивая, оптимизация есть, добавили новые эффекты и анимации. В общем просто хороший ремастер, который сохранил дух оригинала.

    The game suffers from the same optimization issues that MWR had. It also doesn't feel as big of a step up as the first one did. I think the game is fine without multiplayer and spec ops but when judged as a remaster to an already existing game, it doesn't hold up.

I wanted to play through on regular first to stop and smell the roses but it felt more like hardened. I went back to the original MW2 to check and that seemed to be the case.

    Overall it doesn't feel like a big step up from the original MW2 and I hope they fix some of the optimizations issues (but given MWR's track record I don't think that will happen.) If they remaster MW3 (I hope not), they seriously need to use their new engine (used for CoD 2019) because their old one is showing it's age.    … Expand

    Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is an excellent Remaster. Modern Warfare 2 is one of the best parts of the series. For 2020, the picture is not bad, there are minor improvements, it has become more pleasant to shoot with weapons. And what the hell does MW 2019 need? When there's this game.

    Me parece un juegazo, a pesar de que le falta online, pero bueno, 20 dolares tampoco fue la gran cosa; recomendado si quieres revivir los recuerdos del original pero ya con mejor apartado técnico.

    Worst gane I‘ve ever „played“ since the first mission „teamplayer“ insn’t playable. It‘s bugged, at the end Sheppard won‘t spawn and noone moves.

    Regret buying this game.

    This game was an experience. And now it's remastered. The visuals are stunning. There were multiple times where I stopped to look around myself and appreciate how beautiful and colorful the scenery around myself appeared.
    The story was top notch, just like in the previous game. Loved all the twists and turns.

    Ok remaster, the performance was good, graphics also seem fine. Of course no mechanics have been improved since the original release but the game is still fun.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't have much to say about this game apart from what I have already said about the first installment of the remastered series. It is still a great game and a great remaster. The interesting thing is MW2 Remastered was released 4 years after the first remaster but looks, feels and runs completely the same.

    Now more about the game itself - it is as awesome as the firsr Modern Warfare. The story in this one is certainly more consistent and intriguing. I didn't expect it to be a direct successor to the MW 1 but that what it wound out to be and I was pleasantly surprised. The story took its time to develop and by the end of the second act I thought I certainly going to rate MW 2 higher than MW 1 because though the first act was more or less the same as in the first one the second one definitely is the best in the series so far. The third act was rather average and considering MW 1 was more balanced throughout the whole campaign I decided to rate them equally - 8 out of 10.

    P.S. What I didn't like is lack of motivation or at least clear explanation for Shepherd's betrayal. They tried to provide some explanation by the end but if I understood the motivation right then the motivation is kind of weird to say at least.    … Expand

    I decided to go through a remaster, not really gone. Could add more interesting missions, since 90% of the game is just a shootout. The game is short, they could explain why Shepard betrayed. And so, as if they were trying to shove everything at 10 o’clock and if only it would be shorter.     I was very immersed and enjoyed it. Among the story games I've played so far, it's one of the top three games. The downside is that it is definitely less play time compared to other games. It was cleared in only five to six hours. It's too little time for the price.

Which they were doing all time along and didn't have problem with it! They realize no one would play their current crappy CoD games, like Modern Warfare, which is 12/24hz tick and has huge input lag...     Отличный ремастер. В оригинал не играл, а тут ремастер подъехал, решил пройти. Оптимизация - на средних, в 2к разрешении 40-60 фпс( i3-7100, 1050 Ti, 8 gb). Проходится за 6 часов. Советую

It's a first person shooter that requires you to go from A to B, killing your enemies all the way, not some Far Cry-like single player game, you know what I mean.

    I'm a big fan of the single player campaign. MW2 may not have the best plot in CoD series, especially compared with Black Ops1-2, but the game is definitely superior at atmosphere and immersion. The plot may be like "Russia Bad, 'Murica Good", but It is only on the surface, trust me. As for the immersion and atmosphere, you know, this is the first and last CoD that gave me such cinematographic experience. Black Ops1-2 and MW3 tried so bad, but they couldn't reach the level of MW2. All of this I'm talking for the "Modern Warfare 2" released in 2009. What went wrong and why did I gave the remastered version 0 points?

    1. Something is wrong with the soundtrack. Sometimes I hear it, sometimes I don't. It was critical for me since MW2 soundtrack is the best in CoD series IMHO plus it suits it best.

    2. Facial expressions and animations that made it look like it was some acting scene from kindergarten. In short, a lot of inappropriate moves of the characters, unnecessary pauses, but what was unforgiving point for me was the changes they made for the character of General Shepherd. You can say anything you want, but when you force your character to look evil just like the caricature it's not a good idea. Shepherd doesn't throw you at the beginning "Team Player" mission, for example. The old Shepherd was an antagonist but he was an american patriot, almost like the character from Dr. Strangelove film. The new Shepherd is a caricature, the developers of the remastered version treat the gamers like "Look, He is evil! He is bad!". I have no idea guys why it happened to be like this but it's such a shame for the company that makes AAA games. Really? messing up at animations?

    3. Original MW1 and MW2 were made with the same engine, but you could literally see the difference. But this isn't going to go with the remasters of these two. MW2R is basically a MW1R with different levels and guns (gun sounds are the same though).

    4. Bad timing at the end of the game where it says "developed by Infinity Ward". Doesn't match with the music. Yeah, I know, it's such a little thing, but, you see, from such moments you become aware of the real treatment towards the consumers. That was a very lazy move guys, I'm just shocked.

    And all this for 20$? If you're a fan of the game and want to be disappointed by yourself, take it when it's sales time.

    Almost 10 years of waiting and we've got this. All of the gaming community knows that It would have been much better for them If they just left the CoD series to the real&true Infinity Ward. I'm 100% sure that they would make the remastered version better.    … Expand

    Solid 7 out of 10, would have been an 8 if the campaign was a few hours longer. Graphics are nice considering the original age of this game. Gameplay is really impressive with an above average story. Weapons are unique with good mechanics.
