Oct 29, 2024The return to the origins of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 does not fully meet expectations on all levels, but where it does, it proves to be an absolute genius that is hard to put down. With a campaign whose pace falters too often and zombies that are as valid as they are uninspired, the multiplayer ends up saving the day. Not only is there nothing to criticize about it, but it also manages to transport us back to the time when Call of Duty was the absolute king in this segment.[Recommended]

Oct 28, 2024With Black Ops 6, Treyarch and Raven Software have taken almost everything I love about the Call of Duty multiplayer experience and given it a beautiful polish. The maps are excellent, built to please almost everyone's favorite gun styles. The meat and potatoes – moving quick and dishing out firepower – is aces this year; it's fast without feeling too twitchy, and the weapons dispatch your opponents in exactly the way you expect them to. The Omnimove system is fun and flashy, which makes for some great highlights but doesn’t completely take over as the best technique for every situation. I do wish there were more new and innovative modes to explore, but that’s about the only thing I feel draws fire other than the initial lack of goofy skins available. Overall, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 shines because although it plays a lot of things safe, it does the fundamentals of multiplayer combat in a way that feels better than it has in a long time. I am having an absolutely awesome time with it. [Multiplayer review score = 80]

Nov 1, 2024All in all then, I'd best sum up Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 like this: it's like Call Of Duty. A good one, I think. Not a bad one. If you like Call Of Duty, you will like this. If you don't like Call Of Duty, you will not like this. If you haven't played Call Of Duty in a while but did like Call Of Duty in the past, then you will probably like this. Now imagine me, as I step back into the fog with my M4A1 and disappear into a lobby filled with the wet squelches of a man passionately eating a lasagna too close to his mic. [Multiplayer Review]
