CALENDULA is a weak horror game that doesn't want to be played. It is difficult, interesting, but is too short. I can complete this game in about 30 minutes. It starts off with a plain upside-down red triangle with a C on it. You decided to go on a new game, but you see an error. You try going into the configurations, but the game glitches when you change anything in the configurations.CALENDULA is a weak horror game that doesn't want to be played. The gameplay mechanics alone were refreshing, but I honestly can’t recommend the game if you’re looking for something substantial. Calendula feels like a game that on the outside is full of ideas, but the story lacks the detail to be impactful.

For those who are searching for something different, something really bonkers. [04/2016, p.41]

Not content with simply letting you try to play it, Calendula is very much a game that plays you. It's a thrilling commentary on the relationship between player and game.
