    To say this game is easy would be an understatement. It's presented as an arcade game rather than a hunting sim, and truth be told, I prefer it this way.

    Okay, I have no idea what I thought my $20 was getting me when I got this game the other night. I suppose I thought it would be an amusing Okay, I have no idea what I thought my $20 was getting me when I got this game the other night. I suppose I thought it would be an amusing waste of time until something new came along. Well, I was wrong...this game isn't really amusing. I can't tell if I am supposed to hate animals or love them after playing this. In the early stages of the game you must battle Cougars, Bears, and wolves...lots and lots of wolves. Maybe it's just me but in the 1 square mile that is a level I must have killed 15 wolves, 2 cougars, and 1 bear. All to rescue two kids who managed not only to get there safely (apparently animals only hate adults) but were able to set camp and make a fire...only to later be kidnapped by a bear. (No, I still don't get how that happened) Later, I am wisked off to Africa to find an old buddy whose gone missing and I am left to guess he is being held hostage by bunnies, as no plausible explanation for why I should go find him exists. But hey, it's all in fun. What confused me was at the end of Africa and in India I was given a blow gun (someone apparently stole my gun in a cut scene that I didn't need to see) to shoot elephants because well...we love our charging bull elephants. Later I have to tranqualize Tigers and Rhinos too. So the moral lesson is 'if it is endangered only dope it up to the gils'...thought the plausability of tigers being endangered is thin as a 10 minute walk throught the jungle means I have to shoot about 15 of them. 1 tiger/minute = no endangered. Lastly, a word on traps. I saw the feature of "traps" on the box and I thought. "Cool, I'll set up traps for the animals." No. The traps are just for you. In my first fight with a bear after spending a minute or two trying to get the bear to set off the BEAR TRAP that he was walking over I gave up and just shot him in the face until he dies. But fear not, there will still be many traps set up in the game to kill and hinder your progress. This game is a serries of "Animals Attack". If you like taking moderately scenic walks through computer generated terrain only to be attacked in musically correagraphed encounters at specific points...then you -might- enjoy this game.… Full Review »
