    Arcade gameplay, beautiful graphics, impeccable destruction physics and even features a local 8-player mode in the party mode. .
    Instead of Criterion making a lot of crap NFs I wanted a new Burnout and "I still believe" I'm going to see a game from this franchise in the new generation of videogames

    This game is a blast.
    I love the aesthetic, the "dirty" UI and the messy color scheme, it gives this game a very charming art-style in a different way.
    As for the gameplay, it's chaotic as hell and very fun! Unlocking cars feels rewarding and well-earned. Also, there are many challenges and gamemodes to choose from, this game is very big, and the open world aspect is implemented very    This game is a blast.

    I do wish there was a bigger variety in the side content and challenges, because it does get repetitive after a while.
    Also I would've prefer if there was actual car customization, I think it would fit more with the game.

    Best racing game i ever played, better than nfs mw and even forza horizon 4! still playing remaster sometimes, good that multiplayer is alive again

    A really good racing game, I love the open world aspect, the gameplay mechanics are enjoyable, unlocking cars is satisfying, but the physics are very chaotic and the challenges can be a little bit repetitive.

    Very dynamic, fast paced racing game. Great cars, amazing soundtrack. Graphics are average, but gameplay mechanics and general feel of the game is great.

    Игра, которая завоевала мое сердце. Перепройденная мною несколько раз, Burnout Paradise остается прекрасной и в 2020. Саундтрек, геймплей, графика, карта - все прекрасно. Игра абсолютно не затянута, после прохождения хочется сделать это еще раз. Если вы не играли в эту прекрасную игру, покупайте Burnout Paradise Remastered, там все тоже самое, но с немного переделанной графикой и всемиИгра, которая завоевала мое сердце. Перепройденная мною несколько раз, Burnout Paradise остается прекрасной и в 2020. Саундтрек, геймплей, графика, карта - все прекрасно. Игра абсолютно не затянута, после прохождения хочется сделать это еще раз.     Good arcade race game in an open city with nice settings and good graphic. The city is full of details and has a lot to discover. Also there are many cars and many contents: racing, takedowns, stunts.
    In the open world you can do a lot also: destroy billboards, find shortcuts and so on. But some of them are timesinks and unnecessary.

    DJ Atomika is annoying, because she talks childish.

    There doesn't seem to be an active multiplayer community though. Too bad! I wanna race other people!!

    Burnout paradise is a 12 year old boy's dream game: fast cars and destruction. While you can enjoy this at any age, it brings out your destructive side and every time you force an opponent into traffic, it is always satisfying.

    When it comes to Burnout before Paradise i only had tried Burnout 3 demo on NFS Underground 2 PS2 disc and it was pretty sick little experience and soon after that i quit console gaming and went full PC. That made me want a Burnout game on PC and Criterion delivered.

    Paradise is an excellent arcade racer with all the Burnout DNA in open world setting. That made me want a Burnout game on PC and Criterion delivered.

    Paradise is an excellent arcade racer with all the Burnout DNA in open world setting. Game plays smoothly, controls work wonderfully even on kboard and overall PC version is done very well, kudos to Criterion. One small but for me cool option was the matching game time to your local PC's time, it was kinda cool playing at night irl and having night in game aswell, havent played any other open world game that does that which is a shame. As for cars, theyre designed beautifully and sound aggressive with fine detail as hell, like it should in every self respecting arcade racer. Bike riding was also done really well, imo better than some full blown bike racing games. Paradise city itself is pretty detailed and interesting place to explore with insane jumps and stunt locations, having for the time great graphics. Crashing your car and crushing your competition is always fun, maybe after some time gets bit too repetative.

    Only real shame is that EA shut down game's servers, never got to enjoy the MP carnage.    … Expand

    First, I'll give a short review: The graphics are stunning, and that's pretty much all you can say about the graphics. The slow-motion crashes never get old, since they happen throughout the massive map, so even if you get the same type of crash, you'll be getting the crash in a different way/reason throughout the game.    Both a review and a response to 'Captain Murph' that gave it a 0.

    First, I'll give a short review:
    The graphics are stunning, and that's pretty much all you can say about the graphics.
    The slow-motion crashes never get old, since they happen throughout the massive map, so even if you get the same type of crash, you'll be getting the crash in a different way/reason throughout the game.
    The game play is fast paced, and even for messing around, you'll be able to have hours of fun. If you play it for long enough, and learn the street names, you'll be able to find your way around the map without the use of a mini-map at all. The different types of cars are awesome since each car is for different playstyles, which adds even more fun to the game. I do however wish that there was more in-depth customization; it would compliment the amazing graphics that the game features.

    In response to CaptainMurph:

    First off, he rated it a 0 simply because his opinions have convinced himself that he's the only one that's right when it comes to the quality of this game. But you can already probably tell by just reading his review that everything he wrote is based on his preferences and opinions alone, as opposed to facts.

    A portion of his review is him criticizing the lack of mouse control and how it is designed for a controller. The fact that he expects racing games to be optimized for keyboards is stupid in itself, and even then, if he plans on playing the game by remaining in the menu the entire time, then what he says is still stupid.

    With the music and radio that HE doesn't like, you can just turn them off in the settings, which obviously is too difficult for him if he can't spend 10 seconds navigating to the 'options' in the menu.

    The handling of the cars is nothing like GTA; if you're able to drift for 30 seconds+ in GTA, then he is still wrong, since the other aspects of the mechanics are different from GTA. If you're reviewing this game, you already know that.

    I'd like to finish by noting that when he said " The only time you will lose is if you go the wrong way or crash a lot, and even then you will usually win.", he displayed a perfect example of contradicting yourself.    … Expand

    A really, really good racing game. The driving feels solid, and the visuals are really beautiful -for 2008. But even today, they are good.

    But what sets this game apart for me is that it is STUPIDLY FUN. I mean, in the 90's we had Moto Racer, which didn't have anything that special, but was AWESOME to race. If you are angry, or sad, just turn on the PC and play some races in Moto Racer,    A really, really good racing game. The driving feels solid, and the visuals are really beautiful -for 2008. I would prefer some classic rock or heavy metal, but there's Guns N' Roses, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Faith no More and some other cool artists.     Everything is great about this game - the graphics, cars, races, everything to me is nearly perfect. This games is awesome. Probably the best racing game for me ever.

To the people that say that they need to memorize the city or there is no clue where to take the right turns on a race.     This is an excellent open world racing game. Graphics still hold up against today's games. This is an arcade type racing game, not a simulator, so if your looking for realistic racing then this is not the game for you. This game is not like past burnout games, there isn't a crash mode.     Un juegazo, a mi no me gustan los juegos de coches y carreras, pero este si me encanto, es un juegazo, lo recomiendo 100% tanto para fans de coches como para los del sandbox tipo GTA, es un juego con un mapeado extensisimo que te encantara disfrutar, acompañado mejor, es divertidisimo y muy adictivo, a la minima que podais pillaroslo, de verdad que os lo recomiendo, además hacer takedow aUn juegazo, a mi no me gustan los juegos de coches y carreras, pero este si me encanto, es un juegazo, lo recomiendo 100% tanto para fans de coches como para los del sandbox tipo GTA, es un juego con un mapeado extensisimo que te encantara disfrutar, acompañado mejor, es divertidisimo y muy adictivo, a la minima que podais pillaroslo, de verdad que os lo recomiendo, además hacer takedow a los amigos no tiene precio xDD… Expand

    My favourite racing game. It's awesome at all 100%
    Starting with music, ending with car crashing view.
    This make me remember first 2 flatouts, my second favourity racing game, the only one thing this game needs, peoples inside the cars.

    If you're willing to put in the time, there's plenty of content here to enjoy, including getting a handle on how all the various car models control and boost. For gamers looking for a different kind of high-speed racer or anyone's who has yet to experience the thrill Criterion's Burnout series provides, this is a solid choice.
