Your teammates, who are supposed to be an asset, are more of a nuisance then support. They wont take defensive positions well and are easily picked off.
-
While the vehicle combat is pretty fun, it's still brought back down a few times by design flaws and some odd AI behavior. The missions on foot are marred by poor squad AI, and the solo foot missions can only be so good when the enemy AI is still simplistic.
-
BoomtownIt's good, yes, but not brilliant.
-
If it weren't for random crashes and long start ups, the game would have been much more enjoyable.
-
But Breed is worse than awful; it's absolutely unremarkable and utterly forgettable, the epitome of the generic computer game, lacking a shred of anything clever or offensive or ambitious.
-
In a nutshell, while I had some fun with the vehicles and the massive scale of some of the battles, AI bugs, stupid design decisions and awful sounds coupled with dated graphics really didn't help me to immerse myself in it at all.
-
Until a patch can resolve the glaring flaws, this isn't worth your time, much less your money. [June 2004, p.136]
-
TotalGames.netGraphics and sound are impressive enough, but we have come to expect more than that from top new releases, and when the poor AI is factored in, Breed looks less and less appealing. Get your FPS fix elsewhere!
-
A very average FPS, hurt by terrible AI and more than its share of glitches.
-
Solid graphics and music, decent level design and clever use of vehicles. The Achilles' heel is clearly the squad mate artificial intelligence, which virtually ruins the whole play experience.
