Jul 29, 2015There is still something to be refined here and there and originality is not really the best around, but the mix of action and tactics work, the RPG elements are not bad and the semi open-world approach has its advantages.
-
Nov 8, 2015A good spinoff from its detail-oriented, tactical predecessor. It changes the gameplay almost totally, it offers full gamepad support and genuinely different, separate modes of play that appeal to two very different audiences, not sacrificing anything in the process. It has some real flaws in its human AI and some of its interface is a little clunky, but there’s an enjoyably atmospheric game at its heart that is deserving of your attention.

Aug 11, 2015You are armed, you're angry, you have to kill the monsters!
-
Jul 30, 2015The gameplay is indeed original, but it doesn't show enough depth to keep the player going for long. It's an interesting time (and zombie) killer, but nothing more.
-
Aug 3, 2015I really enjoyed the character specialization and tactical gameplay, but during most of Deadline I couldn’t help but feel that it just didn’t make much sense as a zombie game, and would be better if I was fighting other soldiers (there are humans you fight, but not comparatively often).
-
Aug 13, 2015Action RPG with an interesting tactical potential. Disastrously unconsidered design, however, drags the game into an average.
-
Aug 10, 2015Aside from generic zombie survival theme, Deadline is a watered-down spin-off of its much better predecessor, riddled with bugs and framerate issues that should've been ironed-out during Early Access stage.

CD-ActionOct 17, 2015Deadline is worse than its predecessor in every aspect and finally it wore mi down with its insubordinate camera and terrible interface. [10/2015, p.61]
