Overall feel and flavor for the ground war is masterful... Blitzkrieg is a rare gem, a Real Time Strategy that works on all fronts.
-
Can be a tough mountain to master due to the sheer amount of detail that was placed into it if you aren’t a patient person, but it’s really enjoyable even while learning and is especially fun once you get the hang of it.
-
It still lacks the tactical focus and strange mix of contemplative planning and haphazard action that makes the "Combat Mission" series so compelling, but as a real-time game ..., it has a more direct sense of momentum and action.
-
Experiencing Blitzkrieg was a challenge and it was fun in almost every aspect. Skirmishes, single missions, and the campaigns are all well-balanced and lengthy, so you can be sure they will take up a lot of your time.
-
For those who do enjoy it, the multiplayer capabilities and random map generation provide literally endless replay value. The bottom line is that this is not a universal title, but the target group will be quite satisfied with the result.
-
As a whole, Blitzkrieg does deliver a decent RTS that will last for a very long time; however the game isn’t at the stage to compete with current RTS standards, still sporting the 2D landscapes and scratchy infantry movement.
-
Has its challenging and enjoyable moments, but it has its share of problems too.
-
It's also rather unpolished. But while the game may not make a very remarkable first impression, it does have some strong gameplay elements that give it some real substance and help make it deserving of your attention.
-
A must-buy for World War II buffs or those who want a straightforward and realistic RTS that demands tactical prowess and no city management skills whatsoever.

Computer Gaming WorldDelivers the best World War II real-time gaming experience to date. [Aug 2003, p.88]
-
Blitzkrieg can sometimes be entertaining in spite of these problems, but it's not the great WWII RTS we've been waiting for.
-
PC GamerThoughtful and packed with units, but it should be more intuitive to play. [Aug 2003, p.66]
-
Kursk is fine, but not stellar. If you are looking for more tanks and huge... slow levels this is probably for you. But I would probably avoid it.
