    I don’t understand why there are so many bad ratings. This is a fantastic mystery and exploration game that successfully does what it was meant to do - scare you! The vibe, fear and tension this game creates is great and lore from the movie is utilized really well. It isn’t an FPS, but a survival game, and it’s a fantastic one at that with a likeable protagonist and a decent enough combatI don’t understand why there are so many bad ratings. This is a fantastic mystery and exploration game that successfully does what it was meant to do - scare you! The vibe, fear and tension this game creates is great and lore from the movie is utilized really well. It isn’t an FPS, but a survival game, and it’s a fantastic one at that with a likeable protagonist and a decent enough combat system. The point is the story and the exploration and both are done perfectly, with the story unfolding superbly over time. It keeps you engaged consistently and keeps you wanting to learn more about what exactly is going on, like a solid survival game should. If you like exploring in a realistic setting, dogs, mystery, horror and puzzle solving, this is the game for you. You can tell this team put a lot of love into this game while trying to create something fresh and special. Highly recommend for any horror or survival fans. I personally loved Outlast, Outlast II, the Amnesia games, etc. and I believe this to be up there but looked over for some reason amongst horror fans.… Expand

    There are times when Bloober totally nail that sudden frightening realisation of complete disorientation, the hopelessness of being lost in the woods, that's synonymous with the original classic film. However, some of the gameplay mechanics are annoying, the story overall does not come together as a satisfying piece of psychological horror, and 'soldier battling his demons (his ptsd)' isThere are times when Bloober totally nail that sudden frightening realisation of complete disorientation, the hopelessness of being lost in the woods, that's synonymous with the original classic film. However, some of the gameplay mechanics are annoying, the story overall does not come together as a satisfying piece of psychological horror, and 'soldier battling his demons (his ptsd)' is as basic as you can get anyway. When I got to the location where the ending took place, my mind started to race with possibilities for the conclusion (layers on layers of meaning, allegories on allegories, repressed childhood memories running parallel with the present... etc). Instead the ending lands with a dull thud and goes on for soooooo impossbly effin long you begin to question whether it's even worth it to finish the damn thing. Not helping the situation is that other than a few neat (if cheap) tricks, there isn't much else up Blair Witch's sleeve by then. Honestly it's closer to Book of Shadows, than anything else. I have a soft spot for that sequel, so don't take it the wrong way. It's just that wasn't what I was hoping for.

    Es un gran juego de terror, buena atmosfera que te mete en el personaje principal. Me encanta la musica es bastante espeluznante y los escenarios son bastantes tetricos y sombrios. Me encanto la funcion de la camara, al aparecer distintos objetos y puertas que se abren o escenarios que se mueven , fue un gran acierto diria yo.

    Perfect word you can use to describe this game is **** The only problem I have with it is its optimization because for some reason my graphics card is twice as loud when I'm playing this game compared to apex legends.

    What a real living forest in this game. Sound is perfectly suits the narrative and background. Great and deep story uncovering through the gameplay.

    Графон такой себе, игра состоит из одних коридоров. Моя видеокарта (3060) потянула игру с норм ФПСом только на средних настройках графики. Ужасная оптимизация. Геймплей очень скучен, хоть это и хоррор.

What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods.

    What I like about the game is how well the atmosphere is done. The visuals are amazing, and graphic wise, it's a strong suit. And you're companion Bullet is a nice addition to ease your anxiety in stressful situations. Story wise, it's great, investigating a missing 9 year old with tapes that are clues to his disappearance is very unique gameplay as well. Especially with the neat element of being able to MANIPULATE TIME with them, almost like the crime reconstructions in the batman games. When you encounter your first monster later, it can get really intense in the best way possible. With all of that come the negatives. Those being it is really, REALLY easy to get lost for one. And that is really frustrating! Sometimes you go in a loop on purpose for the story. But other times, immersion can be broken by one little invisible barrier. And it doesn't help when Bullet can't tell you the proper way to go when you tell him to 'seek'. Fighting the monsters can also get repetitive considering throughout about 2/3 of this 6 hour or less game, it's the same basic mechanic. They finally switch things up later, but it's in like the last half hour, which in of itself, DRAGS! It's almost like in the finale, it doesn't know when to end, and it's tedious and boring. Which is a shame, considering for the most part, the scare factor was on point. Not to forget about characters, you really don't care about Jess (Ellis' ex-wife). Sheriff Lanninf, cool. Bullet, awesome. Carver, good antagonist. Jess, pointless and doesn't add to the story at all other than just to be another tragic figure to add to the main character's life.

    While certainly not flawless, and the $30 original asking price is a bit much (I paid about $9 for it on sale), it is a good attempt for a Blair Witch game, and a solid attempt at a horror game in general.    … Expand

    Отвратительная оптимизация, в игре ужасная графика но все равно игра не выдает больше 60 кадров еще и с просадками до 20. Сюжет такой себе. Бумер вроде тупой а вроде нет не понятно.

    Great ambientance and sounds with superb atmosphere + The final chapter starts very well + The interaction with the dog is a good idea + Some creepy moments
    CONS:
    A bit blurry + The final chapter is dull and repetitive + Sometimes puzzles are a mess + a bit confusing grip system (radio, cell phone, lantern, etc)

    Worst game I've played in years. Boring and not engaging at all. Gameplay literally doesn't exist, poor graphics, poor level design, on XSX this game can't even hold 30fps. A joke.

    I can't say the story is bad. The ending shouldn't have been that long. I expect the most to interact with the environment from a single-player horror game. Blair witch fell short in this. It's called a horror game, most of it is not scary, it just suffocates you with its atmosphere.

    I don't think they can show much of the strengthening of his bond with his dog, Bullet, and the pain he went through when he lost him.
    I can say that I would have enjoyed this game more if the horror elements were reduced, the atmosphere and music were more intense, our most important goal was to find the child, and if it was a game based on research, not fear in general. I don't want to give the ending of the game as a spoiler, but it really didn't satisfy. When the game was over, I was happy that it was finally over. You know that the end of the game is approaching and you want it to end, but when it is not over, the torture it inflicts on you increases.    … Expand

    I got this game from Epic for free and i think, that was a very good opportunity. We start as Ellis Lynch with our friend - Bullet (dog). We were coming to forest and we join the police search. Protagonist (Ellis) want help to finding young boy, who went missing in this forest. And that's all, I don't want spoiler game for you. I rate the plot for 8/10 because game have unusual storyline,I got this game from Epic for free and i think, that was a very good opportunity. We start as Ellis Lynch with our friend - Bullet (dog). Gameplay I rate for 5/10, because I got bugs, like watching on camera caused crash game, generally whole camera are bugged. Optimize that like enemy are very weak, and moment when I was going on path and the game doing loop. The end of the game gets monotonous. The game tells us that we have a influence on story and that dog alive, but for me they have done very wrong with this. There is no obvious choices, and generally we don't have any chances for good ending (according to the creators, a good ending). Summary Blair Witch is a strong game with story, but gameplay spoils immersion. I'm happy I played in that game.

    Game's awesome. I played the entire thing and it's just so scary. But not the common scary type of game. It's all about its atmosphere and the situation you're put in. Trying to understand the main character's feelings as weel as unraveling the secrets behind those woods feels kinda like Silent Hill to me. I don't think this game deserves the score it gets. They gave you an amazing horrorGame's awesome. I played the entire thing and it's just so scary. But not the common scary type of game. It's all about its atmosphere and the situation you're put in. Trying to understand the main character's feelings as weel as unraveling the secrets behind those woods feels kinda like Silent Hill to me. I don't think this game deserves the score it gets. They gave you an amazing horror game, and unless you dive yourself into it and let go a little of criticism, you won't enjoy the full experience of it.     Zaman çizgisinin kaydığı oyunlara bayırılım. Etkileşimli bir sinema filmi gibi. Üstelik gerilimi de beni korkutmaya hayli hayli yetti. Sizden ricam oyunun başlarında ona bir şans vermeniz. Çünkü o zaman oyun size daha fazlası olduğunu kanıtlayacak. Ayrıca oyuna çok güzel yedirilmiş bir kamera mekaniği de mevcut.

    (8.5/10) I prefer this to the movie as i am on the edge of my seat every single second of the game. This is a very underrated game that i think everyone should play.

    The game adaptation of the 20-year-old “found footage” phenomenon could have turned out very badly. But thanks to previous experiences of Bloober Team, the finished product is more than a pleasant surprise. The game has its issues, especially in graphic design or in the puzzle section, but the result is excellent. [Issue#298]
