Aug 16, 2021Great game with Slavic folklore. Familiar card game gameplay. Great visual. Hope to see more games with similar folklore.

Nov 3, 2021Incredible game, I've walked it through in one breath. Love how it brings Russian folklore to a wider international audience. A great thing is you can get different endings according to your choices in the game.

Aug 19, 2022To me this is a game that falls between 7.5-8 range. Not a big fan of the art style, but I love the deckbuilding and card combat. The lores and plots are also pretty different and interesting.

Game World Navigator MagazineOct 22, 2021A great way to dive into the folklore of the Russian North. The setting is remarkably fresh, the story is well-written, and while the card battles are rather mediocre, the game doesn’t penalize the player for skipping them. [Issue#255, p.50]

Oct 17, 2021Black Book holds a lot of promise… not as a game, but rather an interactive guide to local myths and legends. In all other aspects it’s an exercise in mediocrity.

Oct 4, 2021This game is low budget, sure, but that doesn’t hold it back in the slightest. It’s a very good card game, especially attractive for Eastern European players due to the captivating way in which it deals with Slavic mythology.
