    One of the best games I've ever played, great music, great characters and a SENSATIONAL story. just loved every moment with Elizabeth, the plot along the beautiful art style, the amazing criticism over religion, racism, xenophobia... It´s just something else.

    i played infinite before playing the other 2 BioShock games, and i will say, completing this makes me want to give them another try. Columbia is a beautiful setting filled with personality, the story confused the hell out of me but the characters were more than charming enough to keep me wanting more, and the end was immensely satisfying (no spoilers. the gameplay format is the only slighti played infinite before playing the other 2 BioShock games, and i will say, completing this makes me want to give them another try.     Defiantly a good game, however comparing it to bioshock standards it defiantly falls flat. Trying to juggle themes of racism and showing how black people were historically mistreated mixes porky with the inter dimensional travel story. The enemies are not as unike as before. Plasmids are not as usfull. You can only carry a two weapons at a time wich gets tedious.     Great game but the plot is kinda overrated. When you start with the multiple realities stuff it's usually.. well for me atleast it speaks of lazy writing. I still enjoyed it, not as much as I did enjoy playing the first two.. even Bio 2 had better atmosphere in my opinion. And atmosphere is the biggesy thing that keeps me hooked.

    Play this game it's a must!

    While it's not as genre-changing as the original Bioshock, this game still delivers a unique narrative on a unique setting that I'm happy it's part of the franchise. The gameplay is fresh enough and the new powers are really fun to use. It's insane how what seems to be an escort mission isn't as tedious as they usually are. Play it.

    Like the original Bioshock, this game has an incredibly imaginative story and richly detailed environment, but this time it all takes place in the airborne city of Columbia in 1912.     A genuinely great, and oddly influential, shooter. My biggest gripe is more how this is basically a solid sci-fi shooter instead of an immersive sim. Still very great and well-done, might have been crushed due to the weight of ambition during development. Absolutely worth playing however!

    The story is mysterious and the end is a real surprise.
    The difficulty is not high, even on higher settings and your companion takes on a supportive role by delivering ammo and health if needed. If you want a challenge play the 1999 version that unlocks after one playthrough. It is also a good idea to explore the place because of riddles and goodies to find.    … Expand

    I liked the game at the beginning but the more the story advanced the more i was confused and the game-play became messy. I had huge expectations for this game and was kinda disappointed when i played it, 5 years after it's release.

    This game is a flawed masterpiece that I love as much as I am disappointed by it. The world and main characters are all excellent. The story is also extremely intriguing and very well constructed. However there are noticeable downgrades from the previous games. Some characters are also misused and not developed enough.

    What I hated. The story is linear and choices don't make a difference but I believe that's the point the story is making. Everything comes full circle but what a horrible beautiful circle it is.

    What I loved. The music is almost tailor made for Columbia. Elizabeth is a wonderful companion on your adventure through sheer wonder! I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that this game has culture and it all seems so believable that I wonder if maybe this is really a city in the sky.

    This is a must own. If not, just visit once and fall in love with the city of Columbia! If you aren't afraid of heights that is. 9 out of 10    … Expand

    Bioshock Infinte its a godtier game, with very nice graphics, a good jogability, and finally, a incredible history, i cant describe how this game touch my heart, i know it could be little better if a longer development time, but, for me, this masterpiece is perfect.

    Elizabeth is a magnificent character, and to this day is my favourite female protagonist. She is curious and kind, and damn scary when the world around her needs her to be. Watching her go from being the girl in the tower to the girl covered in blood, opening tears, changing timelines and the world around her is an astonishing journey.     Я начал игру на самом высоком уровне (т.к. с шутерами у меня проблем не было никогда), но после трех часов игры забросил и решил что фигня какая-то. Но затем решил начать с нуля на самом низком уровне - и всё стало куда круче. Вся проблема в том, что в игре просто через чур много однообразной и унылой стрельбы. При этом сюжет и атмосфера - шикарные. Люди    Прошел игру два дня назад.

При этом сюжет и атмосфера - шикарные. Люди сделали шикарный мир и написали шикарную историю, но всё убивает гемплей в стиле "лутер-шутер", где 90% ты стреляешь и лутаешь. Стреляешь и лутаешь. Стреляешь и лутаешь. Если на низком уровне ещё можно не облутывать каждый труп чтобы найти патроны, чуть-чуть хп и солей; то на высоком уровне - лутай и улучшай либо умирай. Скилл же ничего не решает.
    Не хватило загадок (их нет вообще), платформинга (именно платформинга, а не аэротрассы - симулятор нажатия на пробел), может быть, даже стелса и чего-нибудь ещё, что бы сделало гемплей разнообразнее и интереснее.
    Но ради сюжета и атмосферы я её всё же еще пройду и не один раз скорее всего.    … Expand

    To elaborate on the heading, I don't think it's a bad game in and of itself, but I do think it was a mistake for the franchise.

    Infinite is certainly different from the first two titles and arguably worse in most areas.
    From the convoluted story, to the ridiculous flying city, and just the lack of cohesion with the previous titles.

    Setting/Universe
    Looking back to earlier games, Rapture was at least realistic enough for a lot of players to buy into.
    An underwater city built in the late 1940s to early 1950s isn't too far science-fiction for people to believe.
    In Infinite however, we are expected to believe that somehow in the year 1893, 50+ years before Rapture, a flying city can be built... Seriously?
    Don't bother trying to sell me with that bullsh*t.
    The first two games laid out the foundation as to how realistic the universe was and Infinite pulled a classic prequel f*ck up and cheapened it beyond measure.

    Story

    I personally really, really despise the inclusion of in almost any medium, and I find it absolutely disgusting when it's introduced in an already established franchise(with a couple exceptions).
    This is primarily where my hatred of the story comes in; I just don't like these types of narratives. I suppose my simple monkey brain just doesn't like having to work this hard to figure out what I just watched.
    I'm going to avoid going into any amount of detail, but those who know the twist know exactly what I'm talking about.

    The second issue I have with the story is the inclusion of .
    Why was this added? Who asked for Bioshock to include it? As much as the previous complaint felt unwelcome in Bioshock, this one takes the sh*t cake.
    I get that the whole idea of Columbia is for the succession from the United States, sounds an awful lot like Bioshock 1 & 2's Rapture... wonder where they got the idea, but even then I don't see why they went this route. It seems like they brought aboard a young ambitious amateur writer to lead the entire narrative of Infinite.
    And all of the propaganda/portrayals just left a bad taste in my mouth is all. Unnecessary.

    Characters
    Booker DeWitt is pretty cut and dry at first glance with some interesting glimpses into his past throughout.

    Zachary Hale Comstock is a pretty bog standard antagonist with corrupt morals that can't be reasoned with.

    Elizabeth is probably the only character I like with only a few moments that just had bad writing for the character.

    The Lutece Twins just bad. Absolutely the worst. Must've have taken a real genius to write these two.

    Conclusion
    Bioshock Infinite sits off in it's own little corner; I really don't know what to say.
    But to be fair to the game itself, I'm going to give it a score as if it wasn't linked to Bioshock, as if it were it's own game.

    Closing Thoughts
    I feel like even the devs knew how much Infinite strayed away from the previous games and felt forced to revisit Rapture in the Burial at Sea DLC to appease fans.
    Also, I can't help but notice how much Elizabeth was loved by the community.
    I have a strong inclination that her character alone is what has made Bioshock Infinite as popular as it is.

    A jogabilidade ficou mais divertida e prazerosa de se jogar, focando mais no lado da ação do que na parte sobrevivência e de puzzles - por sinal há a inexistência deles na obra. A história apesar de ser mais "viajada" e grandiosa se comparado aos últimos lançados da franquia, permanece com o mesmo nível de qualidade, criando personagens tão bom quanto os outros. Inclusive, as DLCs 'Burial at Sea' são um excelente complemento em termos de narrativa; eu até diria que são obrigatória para ter um fim digno à franquia.

    Meu único ponto negativo à comentar é a falta de exploração nos conflitos de Columbia. No primeiro, Rapture fazia parte da história; nesse, a cidade é apenas usada como um "caminho" para os personagens desenvolverem a trama. Esse efeito afeta o vilão principal, que a única coisa que o torna um personagem memorável é o plot twist que o cerca - diferente de Andrew Ryan que com dois minutos de cena conseguiu ser um dos melhores personagens dos videogames.

The level design is just bland and boring, the game is so linear and the interesting maps from the previous two games are just gone, vigors are pretty useless too.     As the final Bioshock experience, Infinite surpassed my expectations, everything in this game is better than the original Bioshock except for one thing and that's the gameplay. The mechanics and gameplay weren't as coherent as the original and the combat was a bit lackluster but Infinite's strengths lies in its levels and story. This happened a little in the first Bioshock, but it's ridiculous here. I literally got stuck in a doorway for over 5 minutes. Speaking of Elizabeth being annoying, she talks over the audio diaries. Why? The autosave is a really bad idea. I don't like relying on it to get me through the game. I had a situation where I couldn't get the auto save to work and there's no manual save, meaning that every time I turned the game on I had to start all over again from the beginning, regardless of my progress. The vigors absolutely suck in this game. First off, why are they even here? How did these people discover Adam? Was it found inside a flying pig? And why did Columbia develop vigors anyway? Rapture was all about the development of science at the expense of morality. Why the hell would a hyper religious society of Christians be playing god like this? And they don't even make any practical sense. Combat plasmids made sense in Rapture because there was a civil war. Why are vigors being developed for combat? And why don't the military use it? Outside of one or two with either the fire or crow vigor that rarely show up? Vigors are so illogical and stupid in this society.
    In gameplay, I really don't like these. They cut the max vigors down to 8. That isn’t a problem, and the fact I can hold all 8 at once instead of 5 makes sense for the faster paced style of this game. And being able to use vigors and guns at the same time is a good improvement (one that Bioshock 2 already made)
    Unfortunately, the vigors suck. They either function exactly the same or they're so useless you'd never use them. I find it amazing that Bioshock 2 gets so much hatred, even from people like the Completionist, for not adding new plasmids, but this game gets rewarded for reducing the plasmids and diluting the remaining ones till they're unrecognizable.
    I found the possession vigor to have a lot of bad ideas. Enemies are supposed to commit suicide once the vigor stops, but many enemies commit suicide with a rocket launcher and the blast radius can also hurt the player. That's bad game design. And it happens a lot. I also noticed that if an enemy, like a gun turret, doesn't kill itself, then you have to wait for the possession to wear off before you can shoot it. How did this not come up in play testing? I discovered it at the beginning of my first playthrough. I cannot believe this made it into the game.
    Also, the bullet sponge ghost bosses are insufferable to deal with.
    The story is really not good either. The first act of the game is literally just a single event (finding Elizabeth) being recycled 3 separate times and ironically, for as much hate as Ken Levine seems to have for Bioshock 2 (even though he didn't bother to help the relatively much smaller dev team that made Bioshock even once throughout the relatively tiny development time it had) this game copies a lot from that one. Even down to Elizabeth basically just being Eleanor but less good.
    Why are black people even living in Columbia? It's not exactly easy to get onto a flying city and they obviously weren't natives there.
    And why don't the black people actually use vigors? It's not like they're hard to find

    And the manipulative attempts to spotlight choices to the player, only to lie and have them mean nothing is so dishonest and insulting.
    Also, Booker is an idiot.
    So much of the dialogue reads like a bad fanfiction you'd find on Wattpad.
    The ending is also just stupid. Just banging pots and pans together. What a lazy copout.
    By the time the Comstock death scene happened, I was so thoroughly done that I started listening to podcasts and stuff in the background. God, that monologue just went on and on and on. I hate games with several hours of unskippable cutscenes.
    And Elizabeth's powers are extremely nebulous, poorly explained, and just dumb
    They hyped up the songbird boss only to pull a lazy copout and throw it away in favor of that stupid blimp horde mode.
    Honestly, this game shouldn't be a Bioshock game. And many of the mechanics that we dragged in from other Bioshock games and crudely stapled onto this one hurt it the most. Especially the plot. And yeah, this story doesn't belong in Bioshock. Although, even on it's own terms, this story is dumb and the dimension jumping is really dumb.    … Expand
