Pelit (Finland)Jun 14, 2016Battlezone is still a blast. One of the best games that nobody has ever heard of, remastered Battlezone masterfully combines first person shooter with real time strategy. Strategic space tank mayhem goodness. [June/July 2016]

Jul 13, 2016Battlezone 98 Redux prevails because it keeps the identity of the original, without alienating any modern audiences. The game shows its age in terms of its graphics, its controls, and its story. But the timeless blend of action and strategy are what makes this game stay fresh, and with the strategy genre becoming stale with each new release, perhaps this remaster is just what it needs to revitalise it.

Jun 2, 2016It’s fun and frantic, and has plenty of replayability. It just happens to sound poor and look dated.
-
Apr 21, 2016Battlezone 98 was a classic and Redux is a pretty good offering to old fans and new players alike.
-
Apr 18, 2016It's a classic that's been lovingly brought back to life by Rebellion.
-
May 6, 2016Even with its flaws within the control schemes or the mission design, this is a very unique take on RTS.
-
May 19, 2016Some games are “too old to change”, but sometimes it's just not necessary. Battlezone proves it, it can beat the competition even in its original form with its attractive gameplay and classic look.
-
May 5, 2016The cult classic that hasn't aged a day is incredibly fun to play even after all these years. Too bad that the developers didn't use this chance to polish the AI routine or give some units a redesign, making it hard to recommend the Redux edition to owners of the original game.
-
May 19, 2016This is the kind of game where the people who are going to play it and love it already know they are going to play it and love it.
