A nearly perfect RTS in a Warhammer 40k universe, universe that the developers absolutely understand. If you’re an RTS fan, you must try this game.

Bigger world, grander battles, more content and polished multiplayer. The second adaptation of the Warhammer 40k world by Tindalos Interactive is a success, and it didn’t even need to introduce many innovations. Improving the original is enough.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is grand in scale and scope, a testament to everything that's possible in the grimdark Warhammer 40K universe. Although a few issues still exist, it's still a stellar offering and one that Tindalos can continue to expand.

There are a couple of issues here and there, but ultimately Battlefleet: Gothic Armada II feels fun, different and powerful, even if you don't know much about the source material.

A bigger and better version of the first game and a duty for all fans of Warhammer 40,000 and realtime strategies. You will not find a better game in this genre right now. [Issue#294]

Set in Warhammer universe, Armada 2 is a deep, complicated and extremely entertaining strategy that offers a solid gameplay and tons of contents. That said, some gamers who are not familiar with the Warhammer universe or are not hardcore strategy fans, might find it a little bit difficult to get into the game.

Colorful and well presented Warhammer40k battles with three campaigns that lack a bit of balance and variety.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada II is a beautiful and ridiculous space opera that delivers on pretty much every front. Anyone who has ever wanted to smash big chunks of (heavy) metal cathedrals together will love this game.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a great tactical RTS set in Warhammer 40,000 universe. It's bigger than its predecessor, with twelve factions, and more epic too thanks its intensive and amazing space combat.

While Armada isn’t big on scale, it is big on fun. It is one of the rare good entries of Games Workshop’s liberally licensed universe, and as such, it is a must-try for any fan of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Fans of turn-based strategy will find here a solid game that will help us discover some of the most important events in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

This is not a game for everyone. It requires good performance both in the management of resources and in the handling of weapons. They are two extremes of the game that must be mastered equally to advance. If you don't like either of those two game modes, this isn't a title for you. If you do and want a deep and lasting challenge, you'll enjoy this game a lot.

While not quite a homerun, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a fun, tactical space combat experience with some nice story to boot.

The tactical space battles are great, but deserve more variety as well as a better campaign design.

Fans and veterans of the 40k universe will no doubt enjoy Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, while it’s certainly still worth a look for newcomers interested in spaceship warfare.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a good surprise. It is larger, more varied and more epic than the first episode. The only problem is the lack of clarity of the interface, especially during big battles.

A strategic that scrupulously respects the lore of Warhammer 40,000, but at the same time puts too much meat on fire. Among the pros we mention the excellent graphic rendering, the large number of units and the tactical depth.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is certainly one of the better Warhammer games available. Showing a true understanding of the scale of the franchise's warfare, its visuals and tight tactical gameplay will appeal to space strategists, although its macro level leaves something to be desired.

There’s a lot of content here, but the many technical issues, the poor balancing between the twelve factions, and the many feature missing from its direct predecessor make Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 an underwhelming experience.

It’s a solid but not exceptional middle-of-the-road game with some UI hang-ups but a wide variety of factions and a solid amount of the old 40K charm.

The campaign is intense with elements from 4x strategy games and it's less linear from it's predecessor there are also custom options of how you prefer to play the campaings like Domination or Cruiser clash type of battles. There are some bugs and feels a bit rushed to be released on time but overall this is a good game. I didn't test the multiplayer part that much because i prefer the campaigns but it's solid with only few bugs Full Review »

The battles can be fun once the player controlled and AI controlled (in campaign) fleets become large and complex enough. However, theThe battles can be fun once the player controlled and AI controlled (in campaign) fleets become large and complex enough. However, the campaign map mechanics are very simple and feel unfinished. Some aspects of battle feel unfinished as well (ex: capture points). This is especially startling in comparison to another famous Warhammer entry (Total War: Warhammer 1/2). While the game has 12 factions accessible in the multiplayer (which is pretty awesome), only 5 (3 human factions, necros, and tyranids) are accessible in campaign. This game will probably improve significantly as it is patched, but at its release state I cannot give it more than a 7/10. I would recommend checking out this game in late Spring/Summer of 2019 when it has been patched and expanded. Full Review »
