Gotta love all the cut and paste negative reviews....because THAT's not obvious.

Trolls and COD scrubs can't handle it. Try upgrading your 1995 PC and maybe you will actually notice something.

I read the critics from some 0 points - laughing about that. All anti EA freaks nothing more. Zero for a game what the same graphics like BF4 and for a DLC.
I played and have fun and the singleplayer has a good story - perhaps not 10 but sorry some noobs cry and set 0 for hating. Fun thats the important think and not your EA hating.

I haven't tried the MP yet, but this is single handedly one of the best single player experiences I've ever had. It's fun, involving, immersing, and well fleshed out. This game is great fun, and I love the Cops and Robbers theme (PayDay 2 is one of my favourite games of all time.) Can't wait to try the 10 player 5v5 cops and robbers mode. PayDay 2 with human cops? Hell yes!

Last night I left work after reading reddits review thread of Battle Field Hardline. I told my self I was NOT buying battlefield.
Well, I could not resist. I've bought every BF game released on or before the release date, and could not let my veteran status be left out of date for too long.
So I bought BFHL. I had low hopes of the game being good, so I went into this like it was bound to be bad. I fired up the single player campaign and the first interaction you have is busting down a door to bring down some drug dealers. It felt kind of corny at first, like yeah ok BF. Sure let's catch some bad guys.
Later on, after a few car chases, tutorial levels and cut scenes (which are unskippable) it drops you into your first few missions. You can pretty much tackle these however you want. This is where BFHL Campaign shines. Instead of some run and gun shoot em up non sense level, you make the calls. Every chance that came up, I would not even shoot my gun. You can sneak around every level and arrest the bad dudes, and get bonus experience/unlocks for getting people with warrants. There is also the option to shoot everyone in the face. The characters are very interesting. You learn to love or hate some.. and i mean some really piss you off. Your character also makes the "why the **** are you doing this" decisions that you see in horror movies sometimes, its subtle enough to ignore. I got to about level 7/11 for the campaign before it was 10 PM. So it does seem a little short and the sneaking around probably lengthened it for me.
    Multiplayer
Hotwire The multiplayer brings in a few new game modes. My favourite being the Hotwire missions. Basically 6 or so cars spawn around the map which act as control points. You have to obtain these cars and stay alive as long as you can to bring down the other teams points. This becomes and cat and mouse game where you are literaly evading 32+ other players. What's really interesting, is a lot of the explosive power that riddles the other BF games gets taken right out. There is one grenade launcher (I think) and an RPG you can only get out of a trunk of a car. So the random death by explosions is lessened, but still present.
Rescue The deployable zip line and grappling hook were actually used by a few players in a mode like CSGO where you had to rescue a hostage. We ziplined across a street and between 2 skyscrapers to their side of the map, and tried to bring them back to ours. In this particular mode you had one life, unless you were revived, but that doesn't seem to slow down the pug mentality.
Blood Money In this mode there is a designated area with cash, and you have to bring it back to your vault to score it. If you die, the money falls on the ground and anyone can pick it up. There is a lot of bonus points for grabbing killing and scoring the money, this could be an easy leveler mode if its what your interested in.
Heist This game mode seems a bit wonky to me, I'm not sure if it glitched or its just plain terrible. Basically the criminals have to break into a vault and get money to an extraction point twice. I'm not sure what your supposed to do after that because our team lost after completing the objective. So ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
Overall, the game runs great maxed out on my GTX 970 and an i7 4770k. I ran into no FPS drops or stutter or lag. I did not experience one crash or have any issues technically. It seems like it was a pretty smooth launch.
While the games setting may put off some people, I would really recommend you try the game despite the mediocre reviews. I think the battlefields really became a game that everyone loves to hate, despite the developers putting forth a good effort to repair the brand. While I still think there is room for improvement, this game will keep me entertained for a while and I will most likely bite the bullet to purchase it for a few friends, since the price seems to be the most off putting part for them.

There is a hate bandwagon happening with the game that is clearly a symptom of the current Battlefield community and their sense of entitlement. When BF4 came out there was a tremendous amount of bashing and hate around the game, now people are saying they are "sticking to BF4", so what does that tell you about these people? If you are thinking of getting this game but are put off by peoples negative attitudes, don't be, they are mostly sheep trying to fit into any crowd ( unless you are new to the internet you know what I mean ). It will be a better community for Hardline now that these people are leaving the series and your experience will be even more enjoyable, as mine has been. Expand

I think this game is really good. I like the speed of it if compared with previous BF games. I like that there are not that excessive numbers of vehicles. The graphics are good, the sound is great and the whole game is good.

People should always whine when it comes something new. "It's not like BF4 and BF3" Nah, it's not like BF 4 and BF3 because its BFH.

Is this a perfect game, no but it is a very good one that often gets criticized by people that most likely do not own it saying it is a re-skin of BF4, which is not true. Same engine yes but there are multiple differences that if you play BF4 you will notice and appreciate. You get a single player campaign many people would pay $60 for alone on top of a new and improved Battlefield multiplayer experience with new maps and game modes not previously seen in the series. BF Hardline releases with a single player campaign, 7 multiplayer game modes and 9 maps. Considering most DLC costs $15 and comes with 1-2 game modes and 4-5 maps, $60 is not overly priced for a new spin on an old franchise and a single player campaign. Expand

The game offers many great snipers rifle for 360 noscoping and quick scoping someone from long range feels extremely satisfying. For hardcore gamers there is even MLG 420 noscoping aswell.
    Modo historia decente no rejugable.
Consejo: NO COMPRAR si quieren jugar multijugador. Sólo a precio muy, muy bajo la edición estándar para modo campaña.

Battlefield Hardline is amazing fun, but was poorly received by the traditional Battlefield players, especially those who were PC players. Therefore, the game has a very low player count on PC, especially when compared against PS4 and Xbox One. That being said, I own the game for all three platforms and have Premium for the PC version.

For starters, the game does not play at all like BF4. BF4 favors teamwork/collaboration in order to succeed and is very vehicle-oriented; infantry players typically do not fair well against enemies who stay in tanks/helis the entire game. BFH, on the other hand, favors infantry, run-and-gun, style gameplay. Yes, there are helicopters and trucks with heavy guns, but they are not as overwhelming as in BF4.

Hardline plays as if Call of Duty and BF4 had a baby. It's fast-paced and action packed and solo players (such as myself) can typically have no problem doing well.

I'm a bit salty that I paid for Premium on PC, but can't play the DLC maps because of the limited player count. There are typically 1 or 2 servers running the DLC up to a week after the DLC is released, but then no more than 1 server playing the DLC after that. Very early on, I contacted EA to see if my Premium subscription could be transferred from PC to PS4 because the player count on PS4 is massive in comparison to PC, but was told they could not do that.

I play the game on the ULTRA preset with a GTX 970 and am able to maintain 60 FPS most of the time, though there are some maps where performance is worse and my graphics stutter to ~40 FPS.

I have not played the campaign, so I have no opinion on that feature of the game.

    Pros:
    - Betrayal DLC looks and plays fantastic! Visceral has honed their Frostbite development skills over time and it's very apparent in the final DLC.
    - Fast-paced multiplayer
    - Infantry-focused multiplayer
    - Great for solo players
    - Gun bench is a nice feature, but I don't understand why it took so long to release
    - Weapon variety has increased greatly over the past 6 months
    - Grappling guns allow you to quickly access rooftops that would typically be guarded by enemies watching the ladders.
    - Zip Lines allow you to quickly fly across the map.
    - The game has dropped in price A LOT over the past year and can be purchased for $20 or less most of the time

    Cons:
    - Poor communication from Visceral directly. Game updates are typically not shared on social media by Visceral staff, but are posted by independent YouTubers such as DANNYonPC. Visceral needs to take accountability of their game and share their news/updates directly from their own accounts.
    - Absent player base on PC
    - Premium DLC maps are not worth it on PC because there is, at most, 1 lobby playing any of the DLC. The DLC maps should be given away to ALL players and included in the standard map rotations.
    - No "EA Official" servers running the game; all Multiplayer servers (East Coast, US) are privately rented and most have custom rules with badmins who abuse their powers.
    - Slow support from Visceral when releasing patches and news
    - Graphics optimization varies greatly from map to map
    - Gun Bench took nearly 1 year post-release to arrive
    - The M416 and M16A are still the most overpowered Assault Rifles in the game
    - There is a massive amount of FLIR-spam, especially with the M82 semi-auto sniper rifle.
    - Most "Premium Battlepacks" were Emblem sets and not anything that most players would care about
    - "The Block" is the worst map design I have ever seen in a FPS multiplayer title. Once your team has been spawn trapped at one end of the map or the other, it's game-over; there is no way to breach the spawn trap because the map has no outside flank-routes.

In summary, the game runs fantastic now on PC and the latest DLC (Betrayal) is fantastic. I recommend this game to anyone who can get it on sale, especially if the DLC maps are eventually released for free to all. I have a longer list of "cons" than "pros", but I still enjoy the game a lot. Most of my frustration is over the low player count on PC and how that limits so much of the game, especially that which I paid premium for.

The fact that you actually get levels for playing strategically, that hunting for collectibles is so fun and interesting, and that it is structured like a series, with very well developed characters and a multi-faceted plot, makes it awesome, in my opinion. The story is particularly interesting and full of twists and turns, keeping you interested all the time. Besides, if you try to hunt for achievements as well, the campaign alone can offer up to 13-14 hours of content.

As for the multiplayer, it's nothing special. It's not terrible, but apart from a few new game modes and weapons, it is just more of the same. If you're simply looking for a fun multiplayer, you might be better off going to BF4 (if you want a modern setting), BF1, or even the controversial BFV, which all offer a better experience, particularly considering that Hardline only gets a few hundred players per month at most.

I paid a few bucks for it 1 year after it was released, and for that price, it's a good game ...
Unfortunately, the online community on PC is small.
Imho, if you think of all the maps included with Premium + the campaign (8h), there is enough content to justify 50$ at least, but maybe not 120$.
I really like the soundtrack (hiphop) for the campaign and I like that to play Battlefield in a modern environment (not like BF1).
The actors rendering is quite impressive in the campaign mode.

Here are a few annoying things I found :
    - low FPS (about 15) in everglades and a few others area even with GTX1060 !! (campaign) .. I decided to lower my score by 10% because of it, it's almost unplayable in these zones
    - can't change the key binding for Q in campaign (does not work)
    - searching for clues using Q

    My main complains:
Starting kits - they're terrible, so any new player is forced to grind money to grab any weapon that doesn't suck.

Exclusive weapons that came with more expensive versions of the game. Currently you can't obtain those weapons in any other way.

On top of that I'm a bit disappointed with the amount of weapons and ONCE AGAIN devs made the same mistake of mixing medic class with best available weapons, so everyone and their dog is runing an operator.

But this is SO MUCH DIFFERENT from a typical Battlefield game that this move misled a lot of people to wrong expectations, and consequently, disappointments.

As I said, it's a great game. Fun, thrilling, with both great single and multiplayer experiences. But all the good aspects turn to dust if you compare it with Battlefield 4, a game that is immensely better in all aspects. This name, Battlefield, is a heavy name, full of great responsibilities, and that's exactly what killed Hardline. If this game wasn't detached from BF franchise and titled something like WAR ON DRUGS, it would be a huge hit for sure. But it was a bad idea, and the now empty servers show people are starting to notice this, a real shame. I wish I could play this game for some more months before flopping.

This one has so much better balancing gameplay, and it's a big step forward from Battlefield 4, we have to look at that, it's still not IT, it's still not the master Battlefield game we've been expecting, but the launch is so much better.

After that, Heist and Blood Money will be a breeze, especially if you buy the K10 and the Armored insert combined with Gas Masks and Gas Grenades. The weapon licences take way too long to unlock and the faction weapons are distributed in favor of Criminal Operators, Cop Mechanics and Criminal Enforcers. RPG Trunk Upgrades for cars makes the car chases in Hotwire less enjoyable and the tactical map control is thrown out of the window. It is instead best played riding shotgun with the repair torch and a 40mm noob tube. This is awkwardly the best way to rank up and you can even play it with one hand. The singleplayer has some nice missions, but in the end it is too easy and the enemy character models are too similar to warrant the excessive use of uninspired takedown animations. With a lack of interesting stealth weapons (such as sleeping darts), the guns blazing approach becomes much more attractive. But this is pretty counter intuitive for a cop crime drama and it simply feels like you are playing against the Mirror's Edge AI with a Call of Duty loadout. With some multiplayer rebalancing of the obvious top weapons and some spawn fixes for TDM, Hardline could easily have gotten an 8 from me. If they had let us play the singleplayer as a dirty cop and double cross the entire cast of characters with cunning force, I could even have given the game a 9. But sadly it places us in the familiar shoes of the "rookie" good guy who gets shafted by the more interesting characters while the plot twitches almost as bad as the terrible motorcycles we get to drive in Multiplayer :) Expand

Instead of doing the war between the US and some typical mean country, like Russia or China, we instead get a game about cops versus robbers. So, does the game hold up on it's own, or is this just a mod for Battlefield 4? Lets find out.

    === Single Player ===

    3) The story in this game is basically a detective Television show in game format. You get the classic, cops versus drug cartel with a lot of predictable twists all around, but despite that, the story surprisingly well written. Every character in here is full of charm, with no exceptions. The story is really corny, but since it's clearly intended, it comes off as quirky good fun. There will be a lot of jokes that will actually make you laugh more than they should. For those who played it, the story is a lot more like Bad Company series than the old boring Battlefield Nuclear War stuff that no one cares about.

    4) Now, the game play on the story missions is actually pretty weird. While this is a Battlefield game, it should have actually been called Metal Gear Badge Flasher 2k15. Since we are playing a cop, the game is all about stealth arrests, and you literally get no points for killing people people in non silenced ways. So the only way to get heavy machine-gun unlocks and **** like that is to... be stealthy... Doesn't make much sense. So, while the game technically allows you to play however you want, most of the time you will just show up to a group of heavily armoured bandits, show them your badge, and they will politely drop their weapons and surrender, even when they outnumber you 3 to 1.

Yeah, that makes no sense. In fact, this whole game makes no sense. But you know what? I was having fun the whole way. The game is bombastic, and they did a good job pacing the game, going back and forth between being a stealthy bastard and just going around in car chases with **** blowing around you every step of the way. If you switch your brain off, this will probably be the most enjoyable single player First Person Shooter you played in quite a while.

    === Multiplayer ===

But, lets be real. You don't buy a Battlefield for the SinglePlayer Campaign. You want to check out the class based multiplayer action. Well, I'm happy to say that the core gameplay in multiplayer is still intact, and still the best around. Everything in this game just feel right. The guns feels heavy, not just stapler guns like something out of Call of Duty. They are also more balanced, so all types of guns are now viable. The new gadgets also mix up the game quite a bit, like the hookshot allowing you to reach higher places, for example. For all accounts, this is still one of the most polished multiplayer games to date, worthy of the Battlefield name. The game is more focused on infantry fights this time around, with vehicles having less of an impact in the game, mostly serving as a transport means. Be advised that heavy vehicles, like tanks and jets are out of the game, so if you liked those ones, this game might not be your jam.

Since its a cops versus robbers game, they did some innovating game modes. Sure, the usual Conquest and Team Deathmatch are still in, but this is the first game in a long time that actually tries to mix it up with some truly unique gameplay experiences. Heist is a game where the criminals try to rob some place, like a bank, and take the money to an extraction point, while the cops just have to kill them. Its basically a new fresh twist on the old Rush mode. Hotwire is a game where you capture one of several vehicles, and it gets you points while you are moving fast, so you can either just pick one and ride around in circles, or better yet, just try to blow the **** out of your enemies. And finally, you also have the blood money mode, where both sides will have to capture a stash of money in the middle of the map, and you can rob each other.

All of these modes are pretty fun and really new, and in my opinion, Visceral has to be commended by offering new stuff without just following the usual trend, but it also saddens me that true Rush and Capture the Flag modes are not available. Now what really surprised me, especially in Hardline, was the inclusion of some more Esports focused game modes. Rescue has the cops saving a hostage and taking them to an extraction zone, while the criminals have to hold out until the time runs out or just murder all the cops. Crosshair has the cops escorting a VIP criminal to a extraction zone, while the criminals have to kill the VIP. The twist here is that the VIP is actually a random player from the Cops, and it has a pimping golden desert eagle, so the VIP is able to defend himself. Both of these game modes offer no respawns after death and function in a wave based gameplay.

Unfortunately the game play is probably the worst I have ever seen in the Battlefield franchise, mainly the TTK (Time to kill) is so extremely low that it removes any amount of fun or skill that might otherwise be required. Small maps, limited guns and poor balance also add to the frustration.

To any shooter fan I would say avoid at all cost, this game is not worth the money and you would be much better off purchasing Battlefield 3 or 4 both of which are outstanding games.

I was looking for something different to war games and a fun FPS game that brings some action and a good story. The narrative is simple and has no innovation but entertaining enough, some good packed action scenes too. Most of the game is played in a silent/spy/cop/ninja style, but if you want to play in rambo mode you can do it too.

The game has less scripted scenes compared to other games and the visuals quality do not match the level of Battlefield 3 or 4.

The criminal capture gameplay is a little repetitive and even if the beginning is promising the game gets boring in time.

The mechanics are a little simplistic and it repeats trough the whole game, arrest everyone, do not activate the alarm, disable the alarm, get evidence over and over and over.... repetitive too.

A linear story, with repetitive mechanics and not much action, too much criminal capture.

Most of the scenarios are good looking, but the level design is very poor and there is not much to do in the levels to complete an episode... just arrest everyone and get out... and arresting criminals is not as fun as it should be.

Hotwire itself is probably the most played game, and is interesting until people get their hands on rocket launchers.

It has enjoyable gunplay, but a very limited pool of guns that all feel the same. Reload animations are nice, to say a bit of a reverse nitpick.

Battlefield Hardline certainly isn't a BAD game, but it's just a repackage of Battlefield 4. It'd be a standalone game if **** actually happened. Instead, as I opened with, it's two opposing teams running around shooting eachother. The game itself is solid, but putting objective based gameplay that forces you to actually help the team in a Battlefield game is like putting a guinea pig in a ballet.

In short, again... Pick up Payday 2 if you want cops vs crims. Pick up GTA V if you want bloods vs crips, pick up Battlefield 4 if you want Battlefield. And bugs.

Don't like playing by myself all that much, but when me and 3 other friends get together, the "Heist" game type is a blast. I love it. We log many hours playing heist and also rescue. It is a lot of fun.

The campaign not very good but not bad either. I never expect much from the campaign of a battlefield ever since they moved away from the Bad Company arc, but this one brought some fun sequences and gun battles.

Overall the game is at it's best in the heist mode and with friends. Now, is it worth paying 60 dollars for that? Probably not. But I have logged many hours into this game and I'm glad I bought it. But it is understandable that people don't overlook the shortcomings I mentioned initially. Pros:
    * The single player campaign is undeniably gorgeous. However looks alone do not make a good game.
    * The single player characters are well established and at times funny. It reminds me of the humor of the Bad Company series. Probably one of the best attributes the sp experience has. * I felt the cash system in mp was a nice change. * The vehicles in mp are fun. * The new game

    * I felt the cash system in mp was a nice change.
    * The vehicles in mp are fun.
    * The new game modes are great. Blood Money, and Hotwire were both worthy additions.

    Cons:
    * Atrocious UI - Particularly in SP the creators felt they had to put a disgusting icon over anything you could interact with. Even worse is that the further you are away from it the larger the icon is on your screen. I felt they were trying to create the same awful UI from the Far Cry series. At least in Far Cry they give you the option to turn almost all of it off. This is a continuing tragedy among the FPS. They treat the players of a M rated series like monkeys, babying the user through the entire experience. My remedy to this was to use ui.drawenable 0 which removed all of the UI. Guess what, I was able to complete the entire game this way with no fuss.

    * The MP experience doesn't feel like battlefield. There is an overall lack of destructible objects. The first obvious disappointment was in Dust Bowl where the walls of all the buildings are invincible.
    * None of the weapons feel as powerful as they once had.
    * Players can take way too much damage in Hardcore.

After giving the game 3 days to charm me, it hadn't, and I chose to return it. I will be waiting for a better release to spend my money on.

So I have tried it and i pretty satisfied with this game. It is nt a rainbow six or bf 4, it is a crazy messy cop action. sometimes it looks like a bf3 metro map, but it cost a lot.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

Is it a bad game? NO. It's no surprise how many of us get pissy and start throwing zeros around. Goes both ways. The only people I know that eager to get into emotional tirade got fillopian tubes. There are plenty of titles worth a zero. Some are worth a legendary 10. This title is NEITHER. I'll keep it simple. This title is NEITHER.

I'll keep it simple. If this had dropped as a 20$ expansion? It'd be a COMPLETELY different story.

But it wasn't - and considering that? It's all I can keep focusing on. The shooting is fun; the AI is meh - the story is an 8 hour cliche, however a "its so bad its good" kind of cliche... I've had fun playing it.

But I'd rather play BF4 as it is today - and theirs no way in hell, this warranted 60$, or in some cases, more.

Simple as that. Wait until it goes on sale for $20 or less.

The multiplayer is like a double-edged sword. On one side you got all the refreshing approach by having new game modes, features, and gadgets. On the other hand, you got limited weapons that takes way too long to earn, cops/crooks restricted weapons, OP armored vehicles, and terrible balancing issue on Hardcore mode. You actually take less damage when you are playing hardcore.

In conclusion, although this game is fun, I think it is the worst BF ever made

I've decided to write a second review of the game after owning it for a couple of months now, namely touching on the multiplayer aspects and how I've been getting on with the game thus far.

Unfortunately after about three weeks of playing I've grown extremely bored of the game and don't feel there's much else it can offer except mediocre DLC's in the future, which of course will only cost more money and likely become just as boring as the vanilla maps. With Hardline I just cannot find a particular game mode I love. Unlike Battlefield 4 where I would play rush hour after hour, experiencing a different battle each time and having good fun, Hardline is extremely linear and combat is on such a small scale that it's repetitive every game.

Gameplay feels unbalanced and I've yet to use many guns other than the M416 and M16A3, simply because they're overpowered and the majority of other players use them. Killing enemies has become too quick of a process giving you no chance to retaliate when fired at first, and destruction without the access to military vehicles is minimal and underwhelming.

My biggest disappointment is simply the lack of decent game modes, other than maybe conquest, being a classic favourite for many Battlefield fans. Rushing to grab cash 24/7 is tedious, whereas destroying an entire enemy base in Battlefield 4 was an objective far more appealing and more reliant on a team effort. It really does feel like I'm playing a crossover of Call of Duty and Battlefield mechanics, and you can tell Dice are trying to enter the whole 'esports' game with the new game modes like rescue and crosshair which follow in Counter Strike's footsteps.

Put simply, this to me is not Battlefield. Battlefield needs tanks, jets, huge maps, classic game modes, balanced classes, and of course large scale team work. Battlefield Hardline is a major disappointment for me and as I write this I am reinstalling Battlefield 4. Unless you enjoy small scale combat this is not the game for you, stick with Battlefield 4 until they release the next true Battlefield game.

Hardline gets a 4 because anything less would make it sound like I was being too harsh but it's literally the only game I've ever gotten a refund for. Don't waste your time.

I like the money system, I like buying upgrades, that's all fine and reminds me of the fun I had with Mechwarrior Mercenaries... but they didn't go that direction. Animations are bad, polish is bad, not immersive, borderline comical dialogue, and I'm talking about multiplayer. No sense even mentioning the Singleplayer which is always the weak spot in the BF franchise.

    Stick with BF4.

The Multiplayer is not a real cops vs. robbers game and despite the "Battlefield" on the cover it's not a real Battlefield anymore either.
It's a crippled Battlefield game with small maps (even in conquest "large"), horribly bad music and another step closer to the chaotic gameplay of the COD franchise.

Hardline is a pointless re-skin of BF4 with much worse graphics, poor map design, almost no vehicular combat, no destruction, fewer weapons and a few meaningless cop gimmicks. Because in all honesty in the first hour there was 15 minutes of gameplay and most of that was tutorials. I don’t know about others but I seriously dislike this “sitting along for the ride” controlling the mouse and randomly staring at unimportant features of the game world as I listen to the constant droning of the story.

Battlefield does this a lot, mixing the idea of storyline and game, but it has yet to achieve the balance. Personally I wish it would stop altogether, you don't see people signing up to the BF servers for the storyline and it’s true about fps games in general. Storyline is an added benefit, if done well can be the cherry on top, but by no means important in this game genre. So don’t give me story immersion and then force me to sit through it, because I’d rent a cop movie if I wanted that.

So the added features for this game is the Arrests, as instead of shooting you have the ability of a “peaceful takedown”, a novelty that wears off in a matter of moments. Seriously if you as an officer of the law booked in that many criminals in one day your colleagues would hate you for the paper work you had just descend on them. So what is the point of arrest in this game? Just the points, the moral alternative that has no purpose except tricking you into believing that game and real life are the same… and by that extension you are a good person.

In the quest to become something more than a fps Battlefield Hardline has gone soft. In the attempt to offer something more realistic in the battle scenario department, it should charge for criminal offenses. For trying to make me believe that life in the police force has any resemblance to this game it should be sentenced for perjury.

Battlefield Hardline offers a fun single-player experience. Arresting suspects could have used some extra polish, as it's way too easy to manipulate the AI to surrender. The multiplayer mode is quite fun as well, but it suffers from lack of content and for the fact that it plays out like a stripped down version of Battlefield 4. The game's heritage aside, Battlefield Hardline is by no means a poor effort. [May 2015]
