MikeKApr 26, 2010Very disappointing from bad company one .. i find number 2 way over rated..,restricted maps, the plus side is frostbite engine ..very nice graphics .. but there's more better games out there then this steer clear.

LucasApr 13, 2010This is definitely the best FPS I've played since BF2. The only thing I can complain about so far is the missing ability to lay down (you can only crouch)... That's why it gets 8 instead of 9 out of 10. Hopefully EA will add that feature... Other than that, its a really entertaining game, and not as expensive as MW2 was.

JasonZApr 7, 2010This game is the best FPS for PC for 2010 so far. It is far more better than Modern Warfare 2. Lots of action and campaign is good. I use a C521 which is not really A good computer and run this game smoothly. DICE did an amazing job with this game.

ErnestMar 23, 2010Brilliant game. Great squad based multiplayer, lack of lag and the SP is solid. As for Trevor's comment, he has a low end computer. The minimum requirements are a 8800GT with a 3.0GHz dual core. I have this and it runs at 1440x900 at low settings fine. Still looks great though.

AdamCMar 23, 2010Bad Company 2 is an amazing game. A reboot of Battlefield 2, if you will, the multiplayer component is spectacular and absolutely will make a battlefield Veteran happy. @ Trevor who gave this game a 1.... Having a computer that can't run the game properly is no reason to give it a 1. For anyone looking for a comparison, I run the game maxed out with a Q9550, 4 gb ram, and a GTX 275.

JasonRMar 15, 2010This game has got to be one of the most realistic war games I've ever played. Although, the spawning is horrible, you have to unload a full magazine to kill some one. (If you aim for the torso.) The Controls are fairly easy, and being able to fly helicopters is truly satisfying. TLR gives this a 10/10

TarekHMar 15, 2010Simply one of the best multiplayer online games out there. The squad gameplay is addictive especially if you have 2-3 friends ready to jump into a game with you. Working together with squadmates to achieve an objective make this a rewarding and compelling gaming experience.

AndreasSMar 14, 2010Compared to MW2, this is so much better. Since MW2 is a very good game, that says a lot about BC2. The sound and the destructible environments creates an amazing atmosphere. The single player was not as good as the multiplayer, but still found it to be better than MW2. I'll be playing this for a long long time!

JoelLMar 13, 2010With the correct video settings and updated drivers there is no problem to play this game on an average computer. My friend has a Core2Duo 2.66GHz, 4GB DDR2, Geforce 8800GT 512MB and he's playing with everything on High and with both 2x AA and 8x AF, the only thing he can't enable is HBAO. The game itself is awesome. The funniest multiplayer game since Counter Strike first came out!

ChristofferKMar 12, 2010This is a great game, it have had some launch issues but those are temporary, it's not a perfect game (hence the score of 9) but IMO it's one of the best FPS games released lately, as long as EA gets the whole server issues under control it will be an absolutely awesome game. It is more an arcade then a simulator for sure, not something for the super hardcore simulator player I think.

DavidMar 11, 2010This game has everything an FPS should have: teamwork, vehicles, destructible environments, and of course, guns. The single-player is great and the multiplayer is addictive. The only thing that I'm bothered with is the slow server browser and the server errors once in a while, but the next few patches should be able to fix them. Props to DICE and EA for such a awesome game!

JessBMar 11, 2010I highly recommend this to fans of modern first person shooters. The sprawling maps are beautiful, the combat is excellent and well balanced, and you get a great feeling inside when, though it happens once every hundred times you try, you snipe the driver of a helicopter right out of his seat. If your computer is too old to run this game, upgrade your computer!

mostafaz.Mar 10, 2010Its the perfect squad based shooter. this is perfect for people that are tired of games with teammates that are only in it for the kills. if u want to work together with your team this is perfect game for u, if you are one of does people that like camping in the corner getting cheap kills, go play modern warfare 2.

TimothyT.Mar 9, 2010@ Trevor, an 8600GT is high end? It was midrange 3 years ago when it came out. We're four generation ahead (in terms of video cards) ahead now. And a decent gaming PC will run you about $600, not $200. Simply make a smarter choice next time instead of getting an overkill processor with a crap video card. Also, if you were lagging, that's a network issue, not a PC issue.
-
-
BrettB.Mar 9, 2010The best multiplayer game there is at the moment despite what trevor said this game scales fairly well with old PCs I have a buddy who is playing it on his laptop with a 8600GT M at around medium with some low settings and no AA. But if you have the hardware to run BC2 on max the game looks amazing.

BrandonMar 8, 2010Can I just laugh at Trevor's computer on here? No ok, Well this game is pure win, I'm not a singleplayer game player myself, so the online multiplayer is great. Blow everything up, now it's not just an FPS but a Strategy FPS. Gaming has never been so fun. Spend $100 on a graphics card trevor. and maybe a processor if thats a single core.

PhilipD.Mar 8, 2010Trevor fail. The nvidia 8600 is not a high end graphics card. It's very poor. The minimum spec requirement is a Geforce 7800. Even though the 8600 sounds higher, it's actually a bit lower. And you say you can't play the game. What were you doing for an hour? Just staring at your desktop? It's your fault for getting a game you know your PC can't handle.

NashMar 7, 2010Open, varied maps, destructible buildings, lots of guns, perks, and items, four well-balanced classes, helicopters, tanks, and 4-wheelers... what else can you want? Bad Company 2's a fantastic multiplayer FPS and has a great single-player campaign to boot.

ChrisM.Mar 7, 2010I echo Trevor's comment, Do not buy unless you have a really good computer. Really regret buying it now. Have a ATI HD3650 51mb, 4 gb memory and core 2 duo 8300 2.4ghz and cant play at all, its lag followed by lag. However if you have a speced up computer alot better than what i have then go for it.

GlenA.Mar 7, 2010While the campaign is short, bland, and utterly uninteresting unlike the first game this game is resurrected by its multiplayer which despite being horribly Call-of-Dutyized still maintains its battlefield roots. The campaign simply put is stupid, though I don

Jason_FMar 6, 2010@ Trevor The 8600GT is far from being "fairly powerful" by today's standards. The recomended settings include a Quad Core CPU and a GTX 260 GPU with 512 MB VRAM. The only place where you meet that requirement is in your physical RAM. Don't downrate a game just because your 4 year old rig can't play it properly.

JohnS.Mar 5, 2010You know that feeling, when you spent 50 bucks on a piece of shit? I hate that feeling, so if you hate it too, please avoid this game at all costs. Multiplayer is a joke, you can't tie your key with steam, you'll find glitches and issues up your ass each time you start up this game. garbage.

KyleM.Mar 5, 2010Amazing game, hands down one of the best online experiences I've had recently. This is what modern warfare 2 should've been, gentlemen. Dedicated servers, little to no lag, good class balance, teamwork. It's all here!
-
-
BrendanR.Mar 5, 2010Amazing graphics, and certainly the best sound of any game ever. Singleplayer is short and sweet. Multiplayer is very teamwork oriented, which I absolutely love. Seems very very balanced for all weapons, classes and vehicles. Maps are very replayable, and the destructability doubles this. Great game!
-
-
JamesM.Mar 5, 2010BC2 is a great first person shooter! This is the type of game the PC gamers have been waiting to be released. And better yet it has the option for dedicated servers! Great game play, squad play is fun and exciting. Maps are large and with great detail. GAME OF THE YEAR!
-
-
RheaKMar 5, 2010VERY fun game to play and the graphics and sound are amazing with a decent system and multiplayer promotes teamwork ans squad tactics which is what I like. The rough launch is why I gave it a 9 instead of a 10, I know DICE pretty well so I'm confidence they'll have the problems fixed soon.

BradB.Mar 5, 2010It has been a long time since i got angry about a game, but i cant believe i wasted my money on this steaming pile of ****. It has a lot of cool concepts, but its gameplay mechanics are terrible, punkbuster is a pos, it has massive fps issues, and takes 10 mins to find a server that will let you connect to. go get MW2.

Awards & Rankings
-
The new single-player mode isn’t that interesting, but the multi-player part is fantastic. With new destructable environments and new game modes Bad Company 2 is the best Battlefield game so far.
-
Do you like first-person shooters? If the answer is yes, buy Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If there's a weakness it lies in the slightly brief single-player campaign, but the brilliant, potentially Modern Warfare 2 beating multiplayer more than picks up the slack.
-
Though it occasionally stumbles, there's one thing that Bad Company 2 clearly demonstrates: DICE has graduated from the, "can only do a multiplayer FPS" class, and is perfectly capable of making a great all-around game.
