    At the time of its release, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare received almost universal praise. War games are nothing new – we already had Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and to an extent, Wolfenstein – but Modern Warfare really did modernize the first-person shooter, and people liked that it reflected war as it currently exists in the Middle East, not war as it historically was. ElectronicAt the time of its release, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare received almost universal praise. War games are nothing new – we already had Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and to an extent, Wolfenstein – but Modern Warfare really did modernize the first-person shooter, and people liked that it reflected war as it currently exists in the Middle East, not war as it historically was. Electronic Arts eventually countered ActiVision’s hit title with a series of their own, the Battlefield series, and hired a developer that almost came out of nowhere, DICE. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 came out three years after Modern Warfare, and proved EA could modernize the war game genre as well as anyone else. The only bad news is it’s a lot of narrow passageways until the “battlefield” opens up, and there is a dense fog-of-war, obstructing faraway targets. Truth be told, EA and DICE proved a point: not only could Modern Warfare be replicated, it could be improved.

    As the late Ryan Davis of Giant Bomb said, Bad Company 2 follows “a ragtag group of misfits.” You, Marlow, and teammates “Sweets,” Haggard, and Sarge are attempting to stop a Russian called Aguire from terrorizing the United States on its homeland, for example, by disabling the power-grid. A lot of comedy comes from Haggard, a southerner, who, for example, gets on the case of your helicopter pilot, who says he’s a pacifist. The game has you chasing clues around multiple locations in South America.

    Again, you are sadly following a linear path, but open areas are in the game. You could be with your squad-mates in the jungle, and there is only one path forward. At times, if you venture out of the battle zone, the game gives you a warning and a ten-second timer to get back in fair territory. My old roommate loved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, but showed me how some open plots of land are blocked by invisible walls. It’s the same idea. Still, there are open combat areas, but now the biggest offense is “fog of war.” Probably in an effort to get away with low-resolution textures, the farther you look, the less you can see. Still, the combat really does feel modern, as you look down your sights and target the enemy.

    The game actually has fantastic character models. I think you could use these exact character models in a next generation game, and nothing would look out of place. There is a realistic woven-cotton texture on everyone’s uniforms, and detail is right down to individual finger movements. The environments aren’t too bad. The game features “destructible environments,” so a house wall could crumble, exposing one’s cover. I thought it was a neat trick, but it was clear the walls were meant to break only in certain ways. It isn’t something you see in modern shooters, unfortunately. I think graphically, the game was at its most impressive during a boat ride down a river, with enemies talking on a bridge above you.

    Sadly, the campaign is four and a half hours, but in 2010, that was reasonable for a first-person shooter. The thinking was, We’ll add hours of playtime with multiplayer, but I hardly touched it, preferring the single-player mode. Of course, Battlefield multiplayer is a big deal now, with Battlefield V and the Star Wars offshoot Battlefront. For me, DICE proved exactly what they needed to prove: another game’s success can be duplicated in a short turnaround time. It’s straight out of the common college business book, The Innovator’s Dilemma. One who innovates in an industry will be met with copycats who can price more competitively, sometimes forcing the innovator out. That said, Call of Duty still exists, but many don’t take it as seriously now, with the very disappointing Call of Duty: Ghosts, the silly space themed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and the poorly reviewed Call of Duty: WWII. Any modder that can lift the fog deserves recognition. Otherwise the game is near perfect.    … Expand

    This was most definitely one of the best entries into the battlefield series.

    There were 3 ground-breaking games in the Battlefield series: 1942, Battlefield 2, Bad Company 2. While Battlefield 3 was groundbreaking in its own way. It wasn't as big of a jump as Battlefield 2 to Bad Company 2. Sadly it was downhill after Battlefield 3. As BF4 was just more of the same. BF1 was good,    This was most definitely one of the best entries into the battlefield series.

    While Battlefield 3 was groundbreaking in its own way. It wasn't as big of a jump as Battlefield 2 to Bad Company 2.

    Sadly it was downhill after Battlefield 3. As BF4 was just more of the same. BF1 was good, but also more of the same just in a different universe and so was BF5.

    While 2042 is an absolute train wreck.

    The day Bad Company 2 launched, I dropped playing Call of Duty and told myself I will never go back.

    I then continued playing Battlefield competitively from 2010 to 2013 (BC2, BF3, BF4). Unfortunately, I lost interest in BF4 and haven't really been hooked on a BF game since.

    Either way, fond memories of Bad Company 2, with many friends made whom I am still friends with today.    … Expand

    The campaign is very fun, brings a story that holds, characters that make you like them, a very nice gameplay to play, graphics ok, very interactive scenarios.
    I only played the campaign so I have nothing to say about multiplayer.
    The note is not higher because the campaign is really short, the characters are developed just enough to enjoy them there in the 6 hours of the campaign.    The campaign is very fun, brings a story that holds, characters that make you like them, a very nice gameplay to play, graphics ok, very interactive scenarios.
    I only played the campaign so I have nothing to say about multiplayer.
    The note is not higher because the campaign is really short, the characters are developed just enough to enjoy them there in the 6 hours of the campaign. Clearly a more multiplayer game that I don't like.
    It is really worth playing despite the campaign being very short, especially that it is possible to buy this game on sale very cheaply.

    Besides the general look of the game graphics, sounds, and whatnot. the game play falls short from the previous titles. played Bad company 2 for 500+ hours, BF3 for 700 hours, and this game for 80 hours and I'm already sick of it. Multiplayer is rage inducing experience nothing will works out the way you think it would. spawn camping seems easier on this one than other ones, and the maps… Expa

    Сюжет игры очень мне понравился, и multiplayer, получил удовольствие, лечил своих, был лётчиком, и стрельба очень приятная, легко было стрелять, ещё графика очень хорошая! Больше таких крутых игр не будет, жаль... Потому что буран который нечего не сносит, нет разрушаемости, и модели персонажей, и так умерла серия battlefield, жаль.
    Battlefield: bad compamy 2 останется моей любимой навсегда из серии battlefield!
    Вывод: игру стоит брать, почему же? Потому-что в этой игре есть прокачка и сюжет, но нету достижений на pc, где же брать, лучше на xbox, есть достижения, но не показывает время, но лучше брать на xbox 360, хоть и там ограничитель fps и 24 игрока максимум место 32, так что лучше брать на pc! Игра заслужила 10/10 потому что хорошая графика для 2010 года и хорошая русская озвучка!    … Expand

    Прошёл игру часов за 7. Офигенная разрушаемость. Интересный сюжет. Классный геймплей. Жаль, что такие игры больше не делают.

    I think this one is the only Battlefield game with really good campaign and characters. And the destruction here is still one of the best. Not even newer games come close to it.

    One of the best parts! I especially liked the Vietnam add-on ... but in today's realities it is not possible, as the SJW agenda, as well as the snowflakes from the Swedish DICE can no more than just whine and cry!

    Great single campaign, never checked multiplayer though. I like that many parts of the surroundings are destructible, there is variety of things you need to do during the missions, like sniper stuff, driving vehicles, planting bombs etc.

At first you don't even know why you are even doing those tasks in the game, but with the story going on, you start to sort things out and becoming to be more familiar with you fellow soldiers, Sarge, Haggard and Sweets I have to admit that I was annoyed by how much maps I've change throughout the game ( from snow, to jungle, to desert, and again snow, jungle,....), also it is a little bit annoying how much grenades your enemies have, almost every single time I was left without cover because of their grenade launchers which they have all the time on those Russians assault rifles. Great amount of weapons, but with one big problem, no modifications at all, or better said, they have two or three same weapons but the only thing which changes are the weapon sights ( Iron sight, Red-dot or ACOG sight and that's all). The idea of the story is great, but there are things which needs to be changed.    … Expand

Oyunun hikayesinden biraz bahsedeyim: Oyuna bir 2. Dünya Savaşı cephesinde başlıyoruz, görev Japonların elindeki bir bilim adamını kaçırmak. 2 küçük tekne ile Japon mevzilerine doğru yaklaşırken yanımızdaki tekne batırılıyor ve oradaki askerler ölüyor. Ardından bizim içerisinde bulunduğumuz tekne de fark ediliyor ve tekneye ateş açılıyor. Ekibimizle birlikte saldırıdan kurtuluyoruz ve karşı saldırıya geçiyoruz. Bilim adamını ele geçirip onu oradan kaçırmamızla görev bitiyor. Ardından hikaye 2. Dünya Savaşı'ndan modern bir zamana geçiş yapıyor ve kendimizi ABD ve Sovyetler Birliği arasındaki bir savaşın ortasında buluyoruz. Oyunda Marlow ismindeki ABD askerini kontrol ediyoruz ve 4 kişilik bir ekibin üyesiyiz. Marlow, ekibi ile operasyondayken Rus yapımı çok güçlü bir silahın replikasını buluyor. Bu silah savaşın kaderini değiştirebilecek güçte ve aslının bulunup imha edilmesi gerekiyor. Ardından ekibe "Agent Aguire" kod adlı ajan James Wyatt'ı kurtarma görevi veriliyor. Ekip operasyonu başarı ile gerçekleştirdikten ve Wyatt'ı kurtardıktan sonra Wyatt ekibe Rusların projesinin kilit isminin Kirilenko adında biri olduğunu, eğer onu yakalarlarsa silahın gizemini çözebileceklerini söyler. Ekip Kirilenko'nun bulunduğu yere baskın düzenler ve Kirilenko'yu yakalar. Ancak çok geçmeden bunun bir tuzak olduğu anlaşılır ve Kirilenko kaçar. Wyatt ekibi bilerek bu tuzağa göndermiştir. C4'ün etkisi ile uçak düşmeye başlar. Marlow ile ekibi uçaktaki paraşütleri alıp atlamaya hazırlanır ancak Kirilenko ekipten birinin paraşütünü almak için üzerine atlar ve ikisi aşağı düşmeye başlarlar. Onların arkasından Marlow da atlar ve havada Kirilenko'yu vurur. Ekip aşağı indikten sonra komutanları gelir ve Alaska'nın istila altında olduğunu söyler, hikaye bu şekilde biter. Oyunun hikayesi pek sürükleyici ve ilgi çekici değil, çok yüzeysel ve konudan konuya atlayarak anlatılmış bir hikaye bulunuyor. Hikaye sunumu da sinematikler ile güçlendirilmeye çalışılmış fakat sunum konusunda da oyunun pek başarılı olduğunu söyleyemem. Hikayedeki karakterler o kadar sıradan ki ana karakter Marlow ve helikopter pilotu Flynn dışında kimseyi hatırlamıyorum bile, yani karakterler de pek iyi işlenmemiş ne yazık ki. Oynanışa gelirsek, evet bu oyunun güçlü olduğu kısım bu. Öncelikle tekrar söylemeliyim ki oyunun fizik motoru günümüzde bile iyi seviyede. Vuruş hissi güzel ve farklı silahlar gerçekten de farklı deneyim yaşatıyor, silahların çoğunun geri tepmesi ve atış hızı birbirinden farklı. Vurduğumuz veya patlattığımız düşmanlar hasarı aldıkları yere uygun tepkiler veriyor. Üstelik oyunda çevre etkileşimi üst düzey seviyede, patlayıcı fırlattığımız her bina patlayıcının isabet ettiği yerden yıkılıyor ve aynı şekilde ağaçlar, bariyerler ve çitler de patlamaların etkisi ile yıkılabiliyorlar. Fakat maalesef yapay zeka pek iyi değil, hem düşman yapay zekasının hem de ekibimizdekilerin yapay zekasının yetersiz olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Bölüm tasarımı olarak oyunun güçlü olduğu kısımlar da sıkıcı olduğu kısımlar da var, özellikle baştaki bölümler özgün ve eğlenceliyken oyun ilerledikçe bölüm dizaynları tek düze ve sıkıcı olmaya başladı, bu konuda oyun dengesiz denebilir. Oyunun grafikleri bugün dahi fena görünmüyor, yer yer kontrast göz alıcı olsa da grafikler iyi. Oyunu oynarken bazı yerlerde performans baya düştü, bu düşmeler anlık ve 1-2 defalığına yaşandı.     Обзор чисто на сюжетный режим! Стрельба хорошая также как и управление разной техникой сюжет тоже нормальный. Разрушаемость тоже прикольная.

    A very good shooter game for low end pc's!
    I give it like a 9.5 and not 10 because i would like to fly with something like a small fighter plane. I know that the maps are small for planes to fight but one single big map would be enough.

    Although it has the weakest case for being the best Battlefield of the top 3 BF games (BF2, BF3, BC2), it's my personal favorite Battlefield game because of the Rush game mode. The squad based multiplayer set a sharp contrast to CoD and did very well in emphasizing teamwork to win games. It's slower paced than future BF titles but is still fast enough to keep your attention.Although it has the weakest case for being the best Battlefield of the top 3 BF games (BF2, BF3, BC2), it's my personal favorite Battlefield game because of the Rush game mode. The squad based multiplayer set a sharp contrast to CoD and did very well in emphasizing teamwork to win games. It's slower paced than future BF titles but is still fast enough to keep your attention.

    Singeplayer: It's not as good as BC1 but much better than any other BF singleplayer. The plot is easy to follow, creative, and well written.

    Map design: they were designed exclusively for Rush which made most of them not very good experiences on conquest. The theme chosen for the maps were excellent and were used again for future maps in sequent titles.

    Core gameplay: classes were much more different than before but were very balanced because each had notable strengths and weaknesses. The vehicle-infantry balance was good despite a common misconception of overpowered attack choppers.

    Pitfalls: certain multiplayer mechanics are unbalanced (eg. Gustav + Explosive perk, Circle strafing choppers), but it's the most fun I had with a BF game. I've played it as recently as 2017 and had quite a bit of fun, but the servers are mostly dead by now.    … Expand

    Another of the finest BF Games released to date. One of the better "feeling" of the guns and general gameplay. I spent long hours in multiplayer as well as enjoyed single-player campaign.

    The story and gameplay is pretty nice, you play as a special ops soldier, fighting alongside 3 other squad-mates, each with distinct personality, helped save the world (or actually, save America).     The graphics still holds up pretty nice, the controls are okay-ish.

    The audio balancing is pretty bad, especially obvious when using a headphone. I can hear my own footsteps only on the right side. There are some glitchy ragdolls, but nothing game breaking. Some of the stages are very annoying, especially when dealing with helicopters.

    I got a very terrible screen-tearing issue with the game, but enabling v-sync will cause a very noticeable input lag, so I will have to compromise for this.

    His Story Is Not Bad! Nothing to Say About the Story. But Multiplayer Mode is Perfect! The graphics are the biggest problem for me, the gun looks very big, it covers the entire right side of the screen.

    Though I originally stated playing BC2 on PS3, I made my way to the PC version. It was without a doubt THE BEST FPS game I have ever played in my life. The sounds is just pure 100/10, the squad gameplay was a fantastic idea and just the realism of it at the time was amazing. The class system was pure gold as well. I just can't say enough good words about this game. And it had great,Though I originally stated playing BC2 on PS3, I made my way to the PC version.     Still playing it almost every week on PC. I have all the other Battlefield games after bad company 1. In my opinion this is the best fps gaming experience. Easier, balanced and satisfacting like no one further.

What else makes this the best fps singleplayer I've ever played are the awesome maps and destructible environment. The houses are usually made out of wood which means you can destroy the whole map. You play in beautiful and diverse locations, you start off in Alaska and then move to several places in south america, jungle, mountains and desert. I really liked playing in remote location as a small squad instead of a massive battlefield. It felt like there was a lot of freedom in how you complete the missions. In one mission you play on an open map and choose what objective to get when. And even though the other missions play on a more linear path there is still a lot of freedom in how to make your way through them. Every mission was fun in its own unique way. Not like other games where do keep doing the same thing in different locations.

    The multiplayer is simplistic and fun thanks to the game's great gunplay and open, destructible maps. Bad Company 2 Vietnam is what a dlc should be and one of the best dlcs in battlefield history.    … Expand

    A decent and comedic military FPS game that is still enjoyable with its campaign, graphics, audio, and mechanics that do not totally feel like six years old. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was certainly cream of the crop in its own time. I will admit I have encountered a couple of major issues along the way, but it's good nonetheless.

Punk Buster also can be a major pain the butt by kicking you out from the game and crashing it or even introducing performance issues like screen flickering.

    Theres still people who play this in 2016, you can find decent amount of full servers at times, but if youre playing too good theres so many butthurt admins who take you for a cheater and ban you from servers that have most player traffic. Which when done too many times will leave you playing by yourself.

    As for the campaign its rather good, has light hearted humour, likeable characters with funny dialogue but story is filled with cliches and isnt that long.    … Expand

The vehicles are varied and very useful for all the classes. And, unlike BF3 and BF4, this game features an actual organic single-player that's really interesting, even though it's definitely not perfect. Do I recommend it nowdays? Yes... and no. It has a great single-player, but the multiplayer isn't the most populated and is slightly dead, to say at least, even though there are hundreds of people playing the game. Anyway, you simply won't find a multiplayer experience better than this one. I think BC2 is better than both BF3 and BF4. To be fair, EA deleted my BF3 account because it had a different screen name than my BC2 account. There was no appearance of impropriety on my part - they just wanted me to have only one PC EA account. They essentially wiped over a year of BF3 progress, so I stopped playing the game. That likely colored my opinion of BF3.

    But I digress...BC2 is awesome. The game control feels a lot better than that presented in both BF3 and BF4. In the latter two, I always felt like my character was a little drunk or high or something. He seemed to lag when aiming down the sights, and pretty much everything else for that matter. The squad system is great, and is pretty identical to that in BF3/4. The weapon upgrade system is great. It gets pretty tough to get promotions once you get into 30s, however, that might be my fault.

    The graphics and sound are great. The maps are huge. Hit detection is top notch. Even when you feel like the odds are totally stacked against your team and you scarcely stay alive for more than 10 seconds, there's always another angle or kit to play that will provide you the edge you need to not only survive, but thrive. I highly recommend this game to any person who's a fan of FPS multiplayer games.    … Expand

    I really have been into first person shooters for as long as i could remember and all i could say is that i enjoy this game.The whole multiplayer is by far the most exciting and entertaining part of the game, even tho the campaign was lacking.

    This is the best multiplayer shooter of all time! I have played lots of FPS. And BBC2 is the best. It’s better than any cod, Counter Strike and latter battlefields like BF3 and BF4. It's frenetic, tactical, with lots of destruction and a unique atmosphere and gameplay. It has the best maps ever seen in a videogame. Awesome game!

    So superior to the Newer BF3's and BF4's. They are very good looking but can't compare with the FUN of playing Bad Company 2!

    I don't know why but it's just more fun. Also you can destroy anything in the game and the sound is awesome! Best BF game in my mind. I've uninstalled Origin and re-installed BF: BC2!

    Best Battlefield game ever played. I hate it that the eingineer weapon is degraded in BF 3. I don't like the muddy style texture and buggy web plugin in BF3 either.. Why can't you guys make an in-game server filter as well just like BC2?

    Single player campaign was essentially sellotaped on and didn't work so well. The multiplayer however built exceptionally well on its roots and made it both a familiar and great place to be.

    Best game ever made. The netcode is the best and the hit registration is perfect. The maps are all big and well designed. The classes are a lot and well balanced. The infantry gameplay require a lot of skill but it's very satisfying. There are also a lot of good mods. Definitely a must have!

    Bad Company 2 is phenomenal. It is perhaps the greatest multiplayer FPS on PC. I've sunk over 350 hours into it so far, and for $5 on a steam summer sale, it was an absolute steal. Hands down the best game purchase I've ever made.

    Very fluent playing experience..I should not say that this is another COD clone, but it was absolutely influenced by COD series..An impressive one..Except for a few moments when there was not enough instructions on your UI and may lead you to repeating frustrating deaths..but after all, it's a brilliant game..DICE has shown their potential in developing an FPS game in another way..

    the multiplayer is where its at if your not a fan of close quarters and lone gunning stop reading this review and get this game right away simple the multiplayer has 4 classes assault, engineer, medic and recon the assault class is more up close and personal and it gives a wide variety of guns to use the engineer is more defensive, the engineer has the choice of sub machine guns and shotguns but it also has rocketlauncher on his back and mines are available you also have a screwdriver to repair damaged vehicles, the medic allows you to have heavy machine guns and a deffibrilator which allows you to heal dead teammates who havent respawned yet this is handy to put pressure onto the enemy team so you can further advance, the recon class allows you to use sniper rifles this class is more for the supportive person and can help with both defense and offense (if your a good aim).
    say you just got the game and is looking for team deathmatch be asured dont, bad company 2 is more about freedom of choice and teamwork so the selection of modes it has are objective based.

    Graphics are good, not amazing (textures are rather low-res), and yet you'll have so much fun playing it you wouldn't notice.
    Let's hope next BF is BC3...
    of course this is a MULTIPLAYER review. Singleplayer was boring and the story is messy and confusing. Got bored after 2 hours (and I'm rather patient.)

The single player isn't much to write home about: the characters are fun, but the story itself is weak & shallow and is peppered with frustrations. The multiplayer is limited to 32 players, which is a little disappointing, but the maps are still quite large and the vehicle battles feel gritty and intense. The weapons feel much more punchy than BF2, even it the amount of recoil can sometimes be off-putting to my enjoyment, especially as longer ranges. The guns are fairly well balanced, although the tendency for everyone else to rush off with a sniper rifle remains; leaving you with the sole responsibility of actually doing the work. Another gripe I have is that the vehicles handle extremely badly and are frustrating to control; often flipping over if you so much as lean it too far. Overall though, I like Bad Company 2: it has it's frustrations and gameplay issues, but for the most part is destructive, well-made and sometimes entertaining multiplayer experience.… Expand

    This game has only two advantages. Cool the engine and high-quality multiplayer. Everything else here to see prices at the secondary level. By the end of the game you start to miss (especially the last level). But damn! How can you not go past the building and smash it to hell!

Everyone is balanced, even a level 50 is easy to kill because they are not overpowered. The only things they get is new guns and items which only help a little bit. The spawning is great, you rarely get spawn camped unlike Call Of Duty where you sit and get spawn killed. The squad is fun and great, playing with friends or public is extremely fun, conquering flags, killing players, shooting vehicles down, riding tanks, flying helicopters. It's so much fun! The destruction: If you shoot a building with a rank or shoot RPGs, rockets, grenade launchers, etc it will break windows, doors, fences, objects, and blow holes into the building, after the building has enough damage, it falls Vehicles also have parts to come off if hit in certain spots, such as the tank. When the tank is hit on the side, the armor plating falls off, if hit in the back, the parts on the rear parts fall off, etc. All vehicles are balanced, the 4x4 is fast but weak, the jeep is useful for traveling and shooting down helicopters and shooting players quickly and running them over, a tank is useful for destroying buildings and killing players, helicopters are good against tanks and are good for destroying players and buildings. There are also stationary weapons and sea vehicles that add on to the wonderful experience. Almost everything about this game is good. The 1 element that is missing though is customization, you can't change your color, you can't select your face or helment or armor or anything like that, although all characters look different.     This was the first game that I have ever bought and played. The good part about the game is that allows to be run from a virtual drive with an image and the graphics are awesome. The single player campaign is kind of short and gets over in around 8 hours.

Impressive, considering the scale of the maps. You'd almost be lucky to get away with not being spawn killed. I'm still personally divided over the Battlefield concept. On one hand, the graphics, big maps, vehicles, sense of teamwork and simulating realism make every kill satisfying, every win earnt, every point of XP rewarding. But on the other hand, I rarely die in a gun-on-gun firefight knowing that I died because I deserved it- because a mistake was made. Deaths feel so random due to the large maps and the nature of spawn points. That said, the game has a strange, addicting allure to it. The class-based multiplayer and progression/unlock system does make it a bit unfair on new players who don't have all the best weaponry and upgrades, but the game is still playable and balanced for the most part. This game does what many people want in an FPS- as close to realism as possible but without making the game unplayable. For that, it deserves credit. As for the campaign, it is very much similar to Bad Company 1 but with less emphasis on large-scale battles and more focused on variety of environments. The campaign is fairly linear, lacking ambition and the plot is almost non-existent. Overall, if you can't afford a supercomputer to run Battlefield 3 but want something just like it, you can't go wrong with BC2. There are lots of servers and people playing it, and the campaign isn't great but worth playing if you're bored. You just have to be patient with the multiplayer to start enjoying it. The multiplayer makes use of rewarding you for staying loyal to one of four classes, with upgrades and some iteration of perks. While it's still easy to understand what you're doing in the battlefield, the game could do a better job of explaining the unlock progression. Perhaps Bad Company 2's greatest achievement is its uncomprimising combination of stunning graphics, wide variety of maps and modes and gives the player incentive to play to unlock new gear and rank up. The game is rewarding, yet for such a demandingly hardcore and realistic shooter, it's remarkable that one can enjoy this game after a short period of game time online. By its very nature, teamwork is promoted and feels satisfying. The title of the game is Battlefield, yet you can take a break from long-range, vehicular combat in Rush and engage in more hectic, seemingly arena-based mix of free-for-all with teams in Squad Deathmatch. Whatever the case, Bad Company 2 does nearly everything well. Certainly it differentiates itself from other shooters but still implements some of the conventions of modern shooters without losing its identity.… Expand

    While the BFBC2 was painful to play in its early days with crashes-to-desktop a few times a day and a myriad of other bugs/issues, several patches later and it became a good value-for-money multiplayer FPS.

    Battlefield Bad Company 2 is the best multiplayer online game out of the world. The idea with the squads is a good idea to play in a team. Working together with squadmates to achieve an objective make this a rewarding and compelling gaming experience

    While I thoroughly enjoyed the game, it's a shame that they had to resort to bashing COD:MW2 in the game when I consider COD to be more fun, expansive and intense than BF:BC2. The levels follow and narrow path and is not expansive. I loved the characters however and can't wait to play the Vietnam expansion.     The only thing keeping this game from a 10 are some unaddressed bugs, the annoying excessive bloom, the shaky but not too bad net-code & the bad patches they've introduced. Overall, it's quite a nice shooter worth tons of fun with a good vehicle balance.

    The new single-player mode isn’t that interesting, but the multi-player part is fantastic. With new destructable environments and new game modes Bad Company 2 is the best Battlefield game so far.

    Do you like first-person shooters? If the answer is yes, buy Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If there's a weakness it lies in the slightly brief single-player campaign, but the brilliant, potentially Modern Warfare 2 beating multiplayer more than picks up the slack.

    Though it occasionally stumbles, there's one thing that Bad Company 2 clearly demonstrates: DICE has graduated from the, "can only do a multiplayer FPS" class, and is perfectly capable of making a great all-around game.
