This is still the best DLC in franchise history. An entire era with five new maps, new vehicles, and new weapons made this DLC worth more than its price. As of 2020, BC2's Vietnam DLC is not active enough to warrant a purchase.

Not perfect, but it better than BC2, really better! When i playing this game, i can feel the true battlefield game spirit. But one minus not so much weapon choices... i want it like a Battlefield Vietnam, to sniff the napalm smell..

A hope for another such addition to Vietnam period on a newer engine never leaves my heart. And if it happens, my wallet will support EA again!

Great game. Felt like being in the jungle. Accoustic and light effects are very realistic. Dice again has don a very good job and this add-on to bad Company 2 is clearly a Must-have!

This is War! The best multiplayer FPS war experience to date. I only gave it a nine because i wish they added some single player to the dlc. Overall this game rocks! You will not be sorry.

Big improvement in a lot of aspects of BFBC2. Assault Rifles now have better range to balance snipers, + the maps are better designed so Wookies can't just sit up on a hill and pick people off. Worthless non-contributing wookies are doing their best to ruin BFBC2 vanilla.
-Loses a point for lack of maps... and one is really small nade fest. But if you were score this off of the 3 maps, it

Compared to BFBC2... it's a pile of **** Four(4!) maps, few vehicles and american soldiers with AK-47s... yeah... Worst thing is that maps are grenadefests (only one, a village map is very good). They don't make use of destruction mechanism at all, and Vietnam is just utterly boring. Can't recommend, sorry DICE, next time try harder.

Also, instead of retarded future conflict in BC2, you should have made a single player about vietnam. That'd be awesome. But no, you have to compete with Call of Duty. meh.

The game is fairly well done overall, however it is nothing more than a re-release of "Battlefield: Vietnam" as it is the same game with updated graphcis and destructible buildings and unfortunately feels like not much more than a skins mod for the original Bad Company 2. The maps are well thought out, the combat is fast paced but still well balanced, e.g. a sniper isn't penalised for being sneaky/camping, the assault class isn't easily picked off by snipers, etc. The only gripe I have with the game engine is the helicopter, as yet again with the battlefield series, it lacks realism, its not hard to keep in the air (minus the fact that people will be shooting at you), it is however hard to be deadly on a long term basis. After playing a few team games I saw the helicopter as nothing more than a diversion for the enemy on the ground to be unnecessarily worried about and shoot at while the rest of your teammates on the ground sneak past/knock them off. Sad to say that the "Desert Combat" MOD for the original "Battlefield: 1942" was the last in the Battlefield series to have a realistic approach to the helicopters, they took time to tame, but were absolutely lethal in the hands of a veteran. All in all Vietnam is worth a purchase....if it's on sale...maybe....if you're in the mood, but in all seriousness don't expect anything more than the original "Battlefield: Vietnam". Expand

Vietnam has an intense atmosphere with beautiful maps, vehicles and weapons. The maps are very sniper friendly, so expect to have some trouble with pushing forward, the maps are also quite linear, since you get a warning really quickly if you try to move outside of the main combat area, so there are no ways to flank/ambush. The music is also a huge plus! It's a game inside a game!

Vietnam for Bad Company 2 is a nice change from the standard combat of BC2 and a refreshing breath from the last Vietnam attempt with Battlefield : Vietnam. This is what gamers should get for a $15 DLC. All new maps, all new weapons, all new vehicles. The best thing about Vietnam is that it does actually play differently than the main game. While some of the problems of BC2 still exist in 'nam, the one big thing - the hit registry - is significantly better. I'm not personally a fan of DICE's all-out abuse of colour correction, but the maps feel very atmospheric and vietnam-esque. There are some problems with 'nam that have just been ignored by DICE, but it's playable.

It's fun for a while but gets boring too soon. 5 maps only and no destructible buildings. New guns and vehicles with music from the 60's playing on the radio. Positions of the flags on Conquest mode aren't well balanced. Haven't also seen this much of basekilling on any other battlefield game or expansion.

Always been a fan of BF games. Even the "original" BF Vietnam was great. This expansion has to be the worst one to date. Who cares about the 40 60's music tracks when you only hear one song for about half a minute. Characters look stupid. That one Vietnamese troop with the eye patch.... c'mon. Weapons suck as well... not many to choose from. Very sad expansion.. Can't wait for BF3!
