This is still the best DLC in franchise history. An entire era with five new maps, new vehicles, and new weapons made this DLC worth more than its price. As of 2020, BC2's Vietnam DLC is not active enough to warrant a purchase.

Not perfect, but it better than BC2, really better! When i playing this game, i can feel the true battlefield game spirit. But one minus not so much weapon choices... i want it like a Battlefield Vietnam, to sniff the napalm smell..

A hope for another such addition to Vietnam period on a newer engine never leaves my heart. And if it happens, my wallet will support EA again!

Great game. Felt like being in the jungle. Accoustic and light effects are very realistic. Dice again has don a very good job and this add-on to bad Company 2 is clearly a Must-have!

Big improvement in a lot of aspects of BFBC2. Assault Rifles now have better range to balance snipers, + the maps are better designed so Wookies can't just sit up on a hill and pick people off. Worthless non-contributing wookies are doing their best to ruin BFBC2 vanilla.
-Loses a point for lack of maps... and one is really small nade fest. But if you were score this off of the 3 maps, it

Vietnam has an intense atmosphere with beautiful maps, vehicles and weapons. The maps are very sniper friendly, so expect to have some trouble with pushing forward, the maps are also quite linear, since you get a warning really quickly if you try to move outside of the main combat area, so there are no ways to flank/ambush. The music is also a huge plus! It's a game inside a game!

This is what gamers should get for a $15 DLC. All new maps, all new weapons, all new vehicles. The best thing about Vietnam is that it does actually play differently than the main game. Im a big fan of all Battlefield series and this one has not disappointed me. It is a fresh change to BC2, with new well made environments.
Gameplay is exactly like BC2 but the lack of scopes in most weapons makes combat distances shorter.
    CONS
Only five maps and not much choice of weapons and vehicles as opposed to BF Vietnam.
Hopefully they'll make more than the 5 existing maps.

Visuals: Very accurate portrayals of characters and vehicles of the Vietnam era. The maps are very realistic looking, from lush jungles to open rice fields to napalm-scorched hillsides. Awesome atmosphere.

    Sound:
Perfect. This expansion added something that I miss from the orininal Bad Company: radio stations in vehicles. The music from them is awesome and accurate to the era. Unlike titles like MW2, the gun sounds and explosion sounds are actually realistic. The people sound realistic when they're cussin at you in American or Vietnamese. Very realistic sound.

Awesome and fantastic. Far superior to Call of Duty Black Ops. Well done EA for creating such a good expansion. The weapons and technology reflect the era and really make a significant difference to the combat tactics and strategies you need to use to be successful in the game. Not a bad release, for only $15, would have been cool if there were more guns or different kit upgrades, i also liked the original BF Vietnam because of the enormous maps, but still a very fun expansion i almost liked it more than the original bad company 2, and for some reason, this expansion runs a lot smoother on my PC :D
