Jan 18, 2011PROS
Im a big fan of all Battlefield series and this one has not disappointed me. It is a fresh change to BC2, with new well made environments.
Gameplay is exactly like BC2 but the lack of scopes in most weapons makes combat distances shorter.
CONS
Only five maps and not much choice of weapons and vehicles as opposed to BF Vietnam.
Hopefully they'll make more than the 5 existing maps. -
Dec 31, 2010I always loved the BFBC series (even though there is only 2) but I was a little disappointed with the lack of humor in the second one but this DLC redeems it with nice new fresh weapons, new maps, and vehicles. As the BFBC franchise moves on I believe this will be remembered as the best DLC of the games.

May 1, 2011Very good fun. Gameplay is awesome, graphics are amazing though very unbalanced in system requirements. Single player is fun but way too short!

Jan 22, 2011Really like Battlefield games from EA Games. Vietnam is one of the best. Nice music, nice map. All good. Well done! It is a good idea to improve old games and getting them better and better. Good approach.

Aug 24, 2013Not perfect, but it better than BC2, really better! When i playing this game, i can feel the true battlefield game spirit. But one minus not so much weapon choices... i want it like a Battlefield Vietnam, to sniff the napalm smell..
-
Apr 21, 2011The best FPS even now over a year after release, add the vietnam package and you have the most complete warfare shooter on the market bar none, forget the COD series with thier weak promises of ultra battle kill major **** this is the real deal. Fantastic multi, Fantastic solo, Dx11 graphics that actually look Dx11 grade...
-
Jun 3, 2011I thine BC2 Vietnam is more like MOH,no Battlefield. So i can't make the full score! But it's a good as a DLC with 5 maps, new weapons and army.
At end, i only can said,BF3 is the king, BC2V is a case... -
Jun 17, 2011Vietnam has an intense atmosphere with beautiful maps, vehicles and weapons. The maps are very sniper friendly, so expect to have some trouble with pushing forward, the maps are also quite linear, since you get a warning really quickly if you try to move outside of the main combat area, so there are no ways to flank/ambush. The music is also a huge plus! It's a game inside a game!

Nov 1, 2011This is War! The best multiplayer FPS war experience to date. I only gave it a nine because i wish they added some single player to the dlc. Overall this game rocks! You will not be sorry.

Nov 12, 2011Great game. Felt like being in the jungle. Accoustic and light effects are very realistic. Dice again has don a very good job and this add-on to bad Company 2 is clearly a Must-have!

Dec 18, 2010This expansion is a steal. If you thought the original Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was intense, prepare yourself for one of the craziest multiplayer experiences of the year.
-
Feb 19, 2011fun as hell **** cod forever 15$ for 15 new guns 4 new maps and 8 new vehicles and at the same time new soundtrack or for cod 15$ 4 **** maps and 1 new zombie map get this **** activision.

Dec 18, 2010This thing is brilliant. I love it. The Battlefield series just keeps getting further in front of every other FPS with each new release. My advice is buy it. It rocks.
-
Dec 18, 2010I love original Battlefield: Bad Company 2 but the atmosphere in Vietnam is much more intense than the original game. Not so much weapon choices but this is just an expansion pack and it deserves top point with its atmosphere.
-
Dec 18, 2010The best multiplayer game of the year gets better. Vietnam has closer quarters, and scopes on only recon guns. The Vietnam atmosphere is complete with music from the 1960s. In short, it's the best $15 I've ever spent.

Jan 6, 2011Not a bad release, for only $15, would have been cool if there were more guns or different kit upgrades, i also liked the original BF Vietnam because of the enormous maps, but still a very fun expansion i almost liked it more than the original bad company 2, and for some reason, this expansion runs a lot smoother on my PC :D

Jan 9, 2011Awesome and fantastic. Far superior to Call of Duty Black Ops. Well done EA for creating such a good expansion. The weapons and technology reflect the era and really make a significant difference to the combat tactics and strategies you need to use to be successful in the game. An excellent expansion and highly recommneded.
-
Dec 19, 2010The strongest point of this expansion pack is its price. 13 EUR are not much compared to CoDs' DLCs' prices. However, the maps are poor, and there are only 2 new weapons per each class. DICE was creating this expansion pack half year long, i expected a lot more content.
-
Jan 7, 2011It's a fun and nice little addon. It's far from as good as the regular BC2, but still alright. It lacks any real choice of weapons, and the maps are really good, except they have a lot of choke points.
-
Jan 3, 2011A worthy extension to what was already a great game in BFBC2. Vietnam has a realistic feel to it and the addition of huey gunships and radios in vehicles is all well and good, however, in many ways it is just a copy of Eve Of Destruction, but somehow manages to be not as good as the original Vietnam mod. Still, a worthy purchase.
-
Jan 4, 2011Nice little addition to Battlefield Bad Company. Great Audio, weapons and detail. Fun to play.
Not enough Maps
No Large maps good for flying
No Jets like in the first BFV -
Jan 15, 2011Horrible, just horrible.
-Cons
/Almost every Rush map is imbalanced. Currently Rush is unplayable due to imbalance issues. /Pathetic selection of guns, compared to BC2 there are about 1/3 the guns
/Currently even in Rush you will be lucky to get 1 vehicle per team. Most of the games plays out pure infantry with people jumping in vehicles occasionally when theyâ -

Feb 5, 2011Always been a fan of BF games. Even the "original" BF Vietnam was great. This expansion has to be the worst one to date. Who cares about the 40 60's music tracks when you only hear one song for about half a minute. Characters look stupid. That one Vietnamese troop with the eye patch.... c'mon. Weapons suck as well... not many to choose from. Very sad expansion.. Can't wait for BF3!
-
Mar 7, 2011After the golden Bad Company 2, Vietnam disappoints somewhat. Had this been released earlier, perhaps I would have found it more exciting, but after 400+ hours in BC2, this just didn't feel interesting enough or balanced enough for me to enjoy.
-
Mar 15, 2011It's fun for a while but gets boring too soon. 5 maps only and no destructible buildings. New guns and vehicles with music from the 60's playing on the radio. Positions of the flags on Conquest mode aren't well balanced. Haven't also seen this much of basekilling on any other battlefield game or expansion.
-
Mar 16, 2011While some of the problems of BC2 still exist in 'nam, the one big thing - the hit registry - is significantly better. I'm not personally a fan of DICE's all-out abuse of colour correction, but the maps feel very atmospheric and vietnam-esque. There are some problems with 'nam that have just been ignored by DICE, but it's playable.
-
Mar 31, 2011No prone? No lean? Innacurate weapons. Slow and annoying weaponms unlocking. Inneficient armored vehicles. Empty a whole magazine at an enemy point blank only to get killed by the same enemy with a pistol. WTF?!!

Nov 19, 2021One of the best Games of the Series and a true cornerstone to the Battlefield Franchise! Buy!
-
Jul 10, 2020This is still the best DLC in franchise history. An entire era with five new maps, new vehicles, and new weapons made this DLC worth more than its price. As of 2020, BC2's Vietnam DLC is not active enough to warrant a purchase.
