Battlefield 6 is an iconic and outstanding Battlefield experience, from every step in the campaign to every battle in multiplayer. The game stands tall with the return of the class system, intense vehicular and infantry combat, and a thrilling story. Battlefield 6 is the complete package that fans have been waiting for, and the vision for the future of Battlefield is on beautiful display.

Battlefield 6 isn't merely a return to form; it's a full-blown resurrection. Every element that once made this series essential has been restored, refined, and reinvigorated with a confidence that borders on miraculous. An essential multiplayer for years to come.

Battlefield 6 brings the series back to its roots with thrilling large-scale multiplayer, impressive environmental destruction, and excellent gunplay supported by solid performance and sound design, though the campaign suffers from weak AI and uneven pacing. Despite some balancing issues and a slow progression system, it’s a triumphant return that captures the chaotic and immersive essence that defines the franchise.

Battlefield 6 is a triumph in almost every way. It has problems that need to be ironed out, but nothing that can’t be addressed as time moves on. The good news is that the core of the game, the soul of what makes a great Battlefield experience, is there. The visuals, the sound effects, the destruction raining down on you while you lie prone in the rubble and exhaust the last of your rifle’s ammunition. The tools and details required to give every player, no matter their interest or skill level, the opportunity to create memorable moments. Battlefield is back, baby.

Despite faltering in single-player content and gunplay mechanics, Battlefield 6 finally brings back what made the franchise famous: epic combined arms fun with natural teamwork and a grounded setting. My crystal ball is broken, so I can't say whether it'll sell the lofty 100 million copies expected by the previous EA management, but this feels like a new era for a genre that has been stagnant for far too long. It's not the best shooter ever by any margin, but it is the first Battlefield that is ready to dominate the multiplayer scene after years of Call of Duty tyranny, and I for one welcome our new rulers.

Battlefield 6 is one of the best FPS games of the current time, and the Devs have taken every step in the right direction to redeem themselves. It has the most in-depth destruction experience that lets you dive right into a chaotic war. The improvements for the class system are good and let you experiment with different traits to lead your team. Moreover, the Kinesthetic Combat system is what brings the most joy and makes the gameplay enjoyable, even for new players. Despite some weapon balance issues and bugs in the campaign mode, Battlefield 6 provides the best war experience in the franchise.

The new Battlefield 6 is a true successor to the classics Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 — fan favorites and milestones in the industry. It stays true to the core mechanics and systems that matter most to the franchise, showing a clear attention to what players actually love. It’s a solid, back-to-basics Battlefield done right.

Battlefield 6 is everything we expected from a true next-gen BF: solid tech, rocking and solid gameplay, an old-school feeling with a modern touch that matches with BF's DNA. Battlefield 6 ticks all that boxes.

A host of minor and major improvements add up to make Battlefield 6 the smoothest, most bombastically entertaining entry in the series to date. A lacklustre campaign aside, this is a triumphant return and a must-play for both BF veterans and newcomers alike.

Battlefield 6 marks the franchise's grand return to the podium of the best FPS games of its generation. The change of direction for the license and this long-awaited return to its roots does it a world of good, and we're loving it. The campaign may not be very long and the AI is completely useless, but the simple fact of rediscovering a hint of the Bad Company 2 feeling is enough to make it enjoyable. This is a bonus that complements the main attraction, which is the multiplayer mode. The content is generous and we even get a new game mode, which turns out to be a very pleasant surprise. With around forty weapons, dozens of gadgets and accessories, and lots of cosmetics to unlock, it's hard to complain, especially when you know that more free content is on the way. Still, the number of maps is a bit stingy, especially since they're not all memorable, but that's pretty much all we can fault it for. The gameplay feels great and largely takes center stage, which is what matters most in the end. The multiplayer is unlike any other, it's classic Battlefield, intense and immersive, sometimes even more cinematic than the campaign. We want more, it's spectacular.

Battlefield 6 has finally recaptured that true “battlefield” spirit that brings the series back to life. With its gameplay, atmosphere, and technical solidity, it delivers the long-awaited Battlefield experience fans have been missing for years. There’s no unnecessary flash, nor any lack of content. In short, this game isn’t just another sequel — it’s a comeback that restores the series’ reputation.

Battlefield 6 is a true return to form for this beloved franchise, with improved gameplay, a substantial multiplayer offering and a fantastic (albeit short) single-player campaign. This game will be looked back on as a classic in the same way we look back on Battlefield 3 & 4 today.

Battlefield 6 arrives in grand style to remind us that all-out war, when it's virtual, can be magnificent. EA, Battlefield Studios, and the community were eager to move on from the disappointment of Battlefield 2042, and we can finally say it: Battlefield is back.
  18. Battlefield 6 pairs a brisk ~6-hour, vignette-style campaign with a multiplayer core that rewards coordination over heroics. Classic classes return; destruction hits hard. Weak AI, tight vehicle ammo, and a steep skill curve can frustrate, but with a disciplined squad, the chaos truly shines.

Battlefield 6 focuses all its efforts on the core elements, map design, environmental destruction, gunplay, and the atmosphere of war, delivering the spectacle of modern combat with striking visual flair. While it may not stand out for gameplay variety, it remains unmatched in overall quality within the large-scale warfare genre.

The singleplayer isn’t worth your time—unless you enjoy incomprehensible writing and insanely bad endings. Luckily, that hardly matters, because Battlefield 6 features one of the best multiplayer modes in the series. I would’ve liked to see one more Conquest map, but the military feel, tight action, and incredible destruction will make sure I keep playing this game for dozens more hours.

Battlefield 6 is exactly what fans of the series have been asking for over the years. It plays things relatively safe, but perfectly captures the essence of the franchise’s most beloved entries. It’s refreshing to see a major publisher actually respond to player feedback instead of doubling down on bad decisions and pretending that’s what the community wanted. The campaign is a typical ‘play it and forget it’ experience that the game could easily do without, but the multiplayer delivers pure, explosive fun in a pleasantly old-school fashion.

Beautiful to look at, powerful to listen to, highly optimized, and with gameplay that takes us back to the glories of the best games in the series, Battlefield 6 is the unexpected return we've been hoping for for years. The campaign is a concentration of explosions and uncertainty, but multiplayer is where you'll spend most of your time, and it's here that things take a turn for the better. The nine starting maps are a tasty appetizer for what's to come in the coming months; the feel of the weapon in your hand is just right, and when everything falls apart around you, you've definitely fallen in love. With the usual flaws, but also with strengths we almost forgot, this is, finally, Battlefield.

Battlefield 6 truly marks a strong comeback for the series. It's an episode that's certainly nostalgic in its approach but which refines its formula in a rather impressive way, notably thanks to gameplay and graphics that are simply marvelous (especially in multiplayer). Playing this opus proved to be a gripping and addictive experience, even if we were a little disappointed by the single player. To be honest, after this test, we can't wait to return to the battlefield. And that says it all, right?

Battlefield 6 marks the grand return of a franchise that fully embraces its heritage while modernizing its foundations. DICE has managed to reaffirm the strategic DNA of the series that was lost in Battlefield 2042: cooperation, reading the terrain, and mastery of equipment still take precedence over the reflexes and chaos typical of the competition. The shooting mechanics are more balanced, soldier mobility is much better calibrated, and the maps, which are exceptionally rich, offer truly exhilarating diversity. Admittedly, the single-player campaign lacks scope and some multiplayer modes still need tweaking, but the core gameplay remains solid, fast-paced, and rewarding. With 45 weapons at launch, nine carefully designed maps, ambitious content tracking, and the promise of regular updates, Battlefield 6 unashamedly ranks among the best installments in the franchise.

Battlefield 6 takes the franchise back to the classic four-class formula and adds in new features to make the qunfights smoother than ever. With a short but fun single-player campaign and great multiplayer potential, this may be one to check out.

Battlefield 6 was released with many expectations riding on it, but it’s not quite the spectacular game people had hoped for. The campaign lacks polish in terms of quality, and the multiplayer reward system is deeply flawed. Nevertheless, the game retains the core gameplay and fun that the Battlefield series is known for, leaving room to hope for a better future.

Battlefield 6 listens to the community and successfully returns to what we know from parts three and four. EA DICE has abandoned controversial ideas, giving us the best installment in the series in years. It's a bit conservative, but very playable.

Battlefield 6 is a 'well-made' FPS that leaves its controversial predecessors behind by returning to the fundamentals. However, the series' signature strategic depth, born from forming frontlines through teamwork and objective control, has been traded for an arcade-shooter feel that emphasizes individual skill. While the intuitive combat is undeniably fun, for long-time fans, this creates a fundamental sense of alienation, leaving the impression of a 'different game' that has lost its core identity.

Battlefield 6 delivers exactly what it set out to do: a polished, accessible, and satisfying modern military shooter aimed squarely at a mainstream audience. By steering clear of the pop-culture mashup trend currently engulfing many long-running shooters, it preserves a more grounded sense of identity. However, the experience is still held back by a lackluster campaign and the noticeable absence of truly large-scale maps that once defined the series.

Battlefield 6 doesn’t reinvent the battlefield; it restores it. DICE has delivered a visually stunning, technically confident, and wildly satisfying shooter that returns to the thrill of teamwork and chaos. The campaign may be forgettable, and smaller maps miss the mark, but when those tanks roar across a crumbling desert and 64 soldiers clash over a checkpoint, I felt it like pure magic. This is the Battlefield fans have been waiting for, a game that finally remembers what made the franchise special in the first place.

Don't let Battlefield 6's single-player campaign put you off: the multiplayer action is absolutely phenomenal, from the first shot to the last. Chaos and destruction are the watchwords, intensity is guaranteed and each map offers a fantastic stage for varied and dynamic combat, with no dull moments. Even with a few bugs and hiccups here and there, none of this has affected the tremendous fun I've experienced over the last few days in Battlefield 6, which celebrates a return in a big way.

Battlefield 6 triumphs as an old-fashioned, polished all-you-can-eat of multiplayer chaos, hitting the ground running instead of limping. Its single-player campaign is a waste of many studios’ time and manpower though.

Battlefield 6 plays it safe – but in this case, that's okay! Like an unstoppable wrecking ball, the pendulum swings back and forth between attritional battles of destruction and stirring, triumphant battle scenes. The question about the future of this series remains unanswered, but for now, the developers have done right by the players.

Battlefield 6 is a game with a solid core but one that hasn't quite found its footing. The multiplayer foundation is strong, the atmosphere is unmatched, and the technical performance is flawless. However, sacrificing the series' strategic depth for the sake of a ruthless speed based on split-second reflexes leaves it a step behind its legendary predecessors. Unfortunately, the campaign mode feels like a complete disaster that should be completely ignored.

As it is right now, with the quality and quantity of content in the launch package of Battlefield 6, it is incredibly easy to recommend the game to anyone who enjoys multiplayer shooters. It’s an especially exciting proposition for those of us who just cannot keep up with Call of Duty’s rollerskates-based movement and its instantaneous time-to-kill. There’s finally a compelling middle ground between the indecipherability of tactical shooters and the yearly slop of CoD, and it’s one you won’t have to convince yourself to play simply because it’s there, you’ll do it with a big grin on your face because of how fun it is.

We are not yet before the definitive Battlefield and not a 1:1 clone of Battlefield 3. The general balance will still require work, and the hope is that post-launch support will introduce more varied and open maps. However, the foundations are incredibly solid. You can feel the passion and the will of DICE and the Battlefield Studios to get back on track, to listen to their community, and to give back to Battlefield the crown it deserves.

I'm not sure that Battlefield 6 lives up to the lofty heights of BF3 and 4, but whether that is nostalgia talking, who knows? What I do know is that Battlefield 6 is certainly an excellent entry in the series, righting the wrongs of 2042 and setting the series back on the right path.

Battlefield 6 gets all the core basics right. Shooting, movement, driving, and piloting all feel stellar. The format delivers regular moments of movie-worthy, ostentatious action, while also allowing humble players to spend a whole game just repairing tanks, if that’s more their style. What remains to be seen is if it can deliver the sustained support, balance tweaks, and additions that a fine foundation like this deserves. And as a returning fan, I seriously hope it manages the feat.

All of my little issues aside, this is the most excited I’ve been for a blockbuster shooter in a long, long time. I’ve had such a good time learning the maps, mastering weapons, and discovering quirks of Battlefield 6, and I can’t wait to see how the live-service model rolls out over the next few months.

Battlefield 6 delivers a cinematic action experience worthy of an IMAX screen. It's big, it's loud, but Battlefield Studios has carefully molded that into something beautiful and bold. The scope and scale of this game are absolutely tremendous, immersing you into an epic and chaotic war zone every single match with the signature all-out warfare feeling that Battlefield does so well.

As the next step in the franchise, it successfully fills the shoes of its decades-old successes and far surpasses its most recent entries. Battlefield 6 is a return to form for the series with refined first-person shooter gunplay, fan-favorite multiplayer modes and weapons, tried-and-true progression systems, and a single-player campaign that reminds players what Battlefield is all about. Although visibility for closed weapon modes is less than desirable at launch, Battlefield 6 gives players many options for the game modes they want to play.

Reaching a singular verdict among the HG team is like getting a group of dogs to share a single bone. However, all of us involved conceded that in regards to the game's visuals, destructive environments, and optimization, Battlefield 6 excels all expectations. However, its mediocre story campaign, its bizarre attempt to clog up maps to favor close-range combat while simultaneously awkwardly trying to keep vehicles marginally viable, and its disappointing new multiplayer modes all detract from the experience. We cautiously recommend Battlefield 6 to casual fans, but more fervent diehards might want to think twice, because this may not necessarily be the Battlefield for you...

Rather than sticking to its guns, Battlefield 6 diverges from the formula. We could have had a steaming hot meal of scrumptious all-out warfare, but instead we’ve been served a lukewarm plate of I-Can’t-Believe-It’s-Not-CoD.

Battlefield 6 returns after a very long wait with a bombastic multiplayer jam packed with all the heavy equipment and vehicles at your disposal to wreak havoc upon your enemy and utilize all destructible environments to your advantage. The game sees the return of a Campaign Mode which turned out to be fun but certainly not amazing.

The familiar large-scale shootouts in Battlefield 6 are full of memorable highs and lows. But while meaningless battles work when you’re playing online as nameless, faceless combatants, it’s harder to turn that ambiguity into a compelling single-player narrative.

Battlefield 6 is a return to form, even if it doesn't reach the same highs as the series at its peak. The campaign is as lackluster as expected, and the multiplayer maps are only ever decent at best, but there's still a chaotic and super-satisfying shooter here that offers multiplayer thrills unlike any other. Even if you're not racking up kills by the dozens, you're still rewarded for contributing in other ways, and you're never too far away from being in the middle of a histrionic Battlefield moment. It might be a familiar experience, but Battlefield 6 clearly understands what makes the series so appealing.

Battlefield 6 is, above all, a game of reconquest — an attempt to win back its historical community and to atone for BF2042. Under those conditions, the mission to deliver a classic “made in Battlefield” experience is fulfilled, and whether it’s in terms of gameplay, feel, or weapon balancing in multiplayer, it’s a solid overall success. In this context, it’s hard to see the franchise revolutionizing or even shaking up its formula, but the multiplayer aspect holds up well — and that’s what matters most right now. The few attempts at innovation, starting with the campaign, feel more like a desire to mimic Call of Duty than anything else, complete with that tiresome brand of Americanism — and we’re still angry about that story conclusion, which recalls the darkest hours of CoD. If you’re going to copy Activision, at least don’t take the bad stuff — though to be fair, we’ve already avoided the overabundance of ugly skins, and that’s already a pretty big victory.

Nostalgic to a fault, Battlefield 6 is the bare minimum product that is designed to get better over time. Right now, it's just fine, but nothing more.
  57. Oct 14, 2025

Battlefield 6 is both the most ambitious and the biggest letdown in the series. It wastes its huge potential with a boring campaign and a multiplayer mode that only looks good. After a few hours, it feels repetitive and loses its identity by trying too hard to be like Call of Duty instead of staying true to what made Battlefield special. The Escalation and Portal modes are the only real highlights, with Portal standing out thanks to the creativity of the community. Despite great sound design, Battlefield 6 misses the most important thing which is originality and heart.

I think it’s very much worth playing. Like I said, the story is… fine, but that’s not what you’re here for, is it? Go blow some stuff up and let the flames reflect in your sparkling little eyes. It’s glorious to behold. I have to give just one score to the campaign as a whole, so just know with this that I’m thinking the story is maybe a 6, but the mission to mission experience is probably more at a 9. Balancing that out, the campaign gets a middle grounded, 8. I lean toward favoring the strength of the experience over the weakness of the story because it’s doing exactly what it wanted to do, and does so very well. Buy it, try it, blow some stuff up in the Battlefield 6 campaign.
  4. Oct 9, 2025
Ultimately, Battlefield 6 is simply a really, really good entry in the series. Not as good as Battlefield 4 , but definitely the best in years. It already makes me want to play match after match and unlock every available weapon and attachment, and I think that feeling will only intensify as the game develops. The somewhat reduced scale and increased emphasis on infantry might seem controversial, but ultimately, it's still incredibly addictive. And who knows, maybe we'll get larger maps focused on tank battles in the future? However, such speculation aside, Battlefield 6 is already a game worth recommending upon release. No other game on the market offers this kind of experience, and here most of the gameplay elements have been meticulously crafted. All that's left is to wait for the servers to fill up with players and then get into the fight.
  5. Oct 9, 2025
Battlefield 6’s campaign is too unevenly executed to make its vision as compelling as it ought to be, but it still works well enough to inflect the entire game with a healthy cynicism unusual for the genre. Though every multiplayer military shooter feels at least slightly callous when viewed from a distance, unending war modeled with a twinned desire for both realism and the rendering down of martial violence into sport, Battlefield 6 manages to make a natural home for its design ethos in that discordance. It finds the road to global ruin pretty exciting, and believes that you will, too. For the most part, it’s right.
  6. Oct 10, 2025
We’ll save our thoughts on the overall multiplayer experience and progression for our full review, but early thoughts right the same from our previews: Battlefield 6’s multiplayer really is a standout. Hopefully servers hold and that experience carries over to the real thing.
  7. The game's online sandbox spaces have an eerie vitality in their mangling together of realism and colour-coded objective design. I am perennially fascinated by how the swarm thinks in Battlefield online, how that little pebble tumbling through a gap in the fortifications becomes an avalanche. Add a narrative component, however, and you create expectations of meaningful context, consequence and even introspection that the creators of military shooters are seldom able to fulfil.
