if i would have needed to write a review about BF4 the first 3 months i would give it a rating of 4 Max, cause Dice released a game which was broken and unfinished at best. Most of us had constant crashes all over the place and we coudlnt even finish a single round.
After now a good 6+ Month we have to admit that they finally fixed most most of the stuff, (insane long time period thou)

So those issues aside, BF4 is great to play if you love teamplay, however the the whole release is more like a BF3 DLC with a new name, graphics didnt get much better and the levolution they announced sooo big is more a fake, its tru big building fall, but its always the same so there is no AI to it, its more like a general map has two stages, one with all in tact, and one where most of the environment is destroyed. All over still a great game, but they way it was sold to us, and they horrible state it was delivered, should give them a big downrating, cause afterall it was a big cheat, imho

Long load times break it for me. Without a SSD to hold the 24+ GB install, expect loading times up to 5 minutes for larger matches. Constantly starting 5 minutes behind everybody else is a deal-breaker, as it allows a distinct advantage. EA and Dice should not expect everybody to purchase a SSD just to play their games, especially after paying nearly $120 in the game and season pass.Long load times break it for me. I'm rating this a 6 mostly since the game does function most of the time. So many features are still missing from BF4 that are found in most newer FPS games - matchmaking, balance between sides, pre-game lobbies, etc. The server style reminds me more of older FPS games such as Quake... at least Quake loaded within reason back in the day.

Good graphics, but poorly optimized for PCs,especially for 32bit ones! Storyline poor,no major plot. But we don't play a shooter for it's plot. When it comes down to the shooting aspect it is average. It is too easy to get all of the top achievements even on hard that you feel like an total terminator badass. During the campaign I only died twice. So overall BF4 such an average game in all aspects.

Vehicles feel awesome as before and now you don't have to get killed countless times in jets or helicopters to get flare unlock because they are unlocked from the at the beginning. Singleplayer is nothing special but after all Battlefield has always been about multiplayer and the singleplayer is mainly just there because its almost become a standard for Battlefield games to have it. I wouldn't worry about "having to be online to play single player", because the single player is kind of garbage anyways. Forcing players to use a website AND origin instead of an executable client is a joke. The minor advantages of this far outweigh the negatives. Steam users be aware that integration with steam/steam overlay is difficult and nearly impossible.

The dedicated servers are not maintained by the developers. There are frequent crashes, mostly due to the abysmal optimization for PC, which was supposed to be a key seller over COD. Honestly expect to be disconnected or experience a DirectX/driver crash once every three games. But hey, who cares? PS4 is where all the money's at, right?!

The gameplay itself is so-so. Modes like Conquest capture the feeling of a large battle excellently. However, I realize that the game itself is only a few months old, and improvements will be made over time. The effort made in cross-platforming with Commander Mode of tablets is ambitious and worthy of applause.

    Ultimately, just play Battlefield 3.

The multi-player is fine OTHER THAN THE SPAWNING.
The multi-player is tons of fun, but I recommend having a team to play with because you can occasionally get stuck with mentally challenged 4 year olds.

This may be a personal thing but I find that I get spawn-killed WAY to much for it to be by chance.

Unlocking things is an absolute pain and the game is not necessarily nice to new people. After two weeks, you should have a decent set of gear to choose from.

The single player campaign is crap and makes no sense and it is made worse by the fact that you actually have to play it in order to unlock certain (good) weapons.

The "Levolution" is just a gimmick and should be viewed as such. It is not a serious game play element. Sometimes, it is fun to take out campers by making buildings collapse, but that is it. It is simply for entertainment and is just a cool thing to have.

Sidenote- RUSH IS INCREDIBLY ONE SIDED. THE DEFENDERS ALWAYS HAVE THE UPPER HAND. IF YOU EXPECT TO WIN A GAME OF RUSH WHILE YOU ARE ATTACKING, YOU BETTER HAVE ONE HELL OF A TEAM. ATTACKERS ALMOST ALWAYS RUN OUT OF TICKETS.
However, since it alternates between defending and attacking, you won't go on a 30 rush game loosing spree and it is still fun even if you don't win.

Better than the their current gen console counterparts though I can't talk for next gen since I've yet to experience it.

Campaign: What can I say.... it just sucks. We all know the campaign in these games are usually not good and this game is an example of that. Most of the time you can hardly care less about what's going on and you'll just want to get through the campaign already. To make matters worse, the devs decided to put some multiplayer unlockables in the campaign, meaning you have to play it if you want certain items or guns in the multiplayer. The story itself is just boring and part of that is how you, the main character, is poorly done. You never talk during the game which would be fine if you weren't the squad leader for the majority of the game. Often times you'll get scenes like a commander saying, "I'll answer to the squad leader only" and yet your companions will end up doing the talking for you like your a new trainee just learning the ropes and following along yet your suppose to be veteran and the leader.

Multiplayer: Of you've played Battlefield 3 then you'll know what to expect. Same classes are there though some items have been mixed around. Really like that they added stats to the weapons and actually categorized so if you want a submachine gun you can just go to that. One big drawback that I don't understand why they didn't add it to the game is being able to customize your loadout while waiting for the next game. It doesn't make sense to do it while playing since you rather be playing and helping out your team rather than take time to change your loadout when you could've done it before the game started. The maps are pretty well done though, ranging from big vehicle maps to smaller no vehicles map yet big enough to accommodate a 32 and even 64 man matches.

Biggest problem so far that everyone is mad about are the bugs and crashes that happened during launch. It is really unacceptable especially considering that they've had to delayed their first DLC, though I don't know why there's already a DLC, but the fact that it's been delayed shows how not ready the game was from being released. I can only recommend this game if you manage to get it for cheap like I did for 20$ and if your into FPS were sometimes you just want to jump in and experience some high action shooting.

So with all that being said those are the only two reasons why I gave this game a 7 vs 10. There is a ton of fun to be had here and i have thoroughly enjoyed mowing down my enemies in MP. With the new customization options soldier classes are the most diverse they ever have been. The game is beautiful as well and level design is unique and fun. but it does fall short of some of the BF3 maps like metro, and seine. With that being Said DICE has a long track record of providing map packs for its games, and soon the most popular Bf3 maps will be brought to this game on the new frostbite 3 engine.

    Levolution works and works well

The wrong for gamers and bf3 users going bf4 is simple:
    1) Bf4 is not a visual stunt and realism compared to bf3 in ultra max settings.
    2) Some maps in Bf4 are empty! you look at Parcels, you look at Shangai. They are empty, sure you have effects like flying paper all around or you can swim under water weewwwwww, cool heh? yet nothing compared to realism of BF3. I do not blame Dice for their choice but console manufacturers to force developers to get to their best with crunched down ultra minimal hardware possible.
3)Yes the game is really expensive, what you call premium is just BF4 with all expansion attached and ready to download when each of these expansion will be available. yet or +$100 compared to 1 year, 1 year and half and bf4 premium drops at 40$ altogether because well gamers are going other horizons and also Dice may want to "annualize" their franchise then what of this 100 dollars worth? just the right to be called premium since beginning with or without all expansions out already.

    Now the good:
    1) The engine seems and appear to diffuse scatter light a bit better in SOME situations compared to bf3 such as the locker room when you go in/out of the indoor tunnel and you get somewhat blinded and everything become contrasty. The engine needs a tweak for that whereas when you stop in the middle if this light diffuse and scattering then the changes stops where they are at and sometime remain as long as you stay on spot instead of diminishing as human eye adapt to light change after a short period of time. Sometime it works well, sometime it does not but those are fixes that will come along the way and it will be something plush and plus to the gameplay and game.
    2) Physx works well if not better than bf3
3)Introduction of hide behind a box and pop to shoot. It is not perfect but fixes will come along.

    Conclusion:
It could have been great and limited itself. Overall a good game but not worth +100$

Improved gun-play over BF3 and slightly better visuals with well designed maps make this a nice buy. The new gun mechanics are easier to pick up, but make the game significantly more shallow. However, there are many new customization options that can prolong the lifetime of the multiplayer. Vehicles remain mostly the same, but the addition of attack jets to conquest and obliteration gamemodes have rendered the so-called "anti-air" jets completely useless.

As for the singleplayer, it has a forgettable storyline and dull shooting sequences. It wont take you more than 3-4 hours to complete it and there are plenty of bugs, just like the multiplayer

I agree with the people saying that the game feels sometimes like Battlefield 3.5, but some improvements have been done. Sounds are better, graphics also mildly and the guns behave more realistically.

    Problems this game still has:
-Random crashes every now and then
-Sometimes it's a pain in the ass to get to a server, since the service is not working properly
-Hit detection sometimes drags behind. You run to the cover, get there and die from a shot that should have hit you earlier, if it was going to

Another annoyance is the battlepacks... You're unlocking a weapons utilities, and sometimes you just can't know what you'll get, and quite often the random unlocks just prove to be completely useless...

But all these things aside, the actual gameplay is still nice.

Hm, I´m not a multiplayer fan so that part doesn´t bothers me.
The campaign is a little short and quite boring. There are some parts that are intriguing and a lot of that don´t.
    For me it´s a playable benchmark/stresstool ;)
What I really love are the graphics, the animations and the rudimentary ballistics.

I have noted since then that one of the expansions is an import of favorite maps from 3 into 4. I wonder if this decision was inspired by similar feedback concerning level design for 4. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. WOO bf4 bf4 bf4!!!!! That is what I said when I was installing the game, and then the crashes started. I've had this game since release and until now I have been a blind EA/Dice fanboy telling myself that, "Oh, they will fix the crashing, Oh, every game starts out buggy and glitchy" But it has been 6 MONTHS.....6 MONTHS AND I STILL CANNOT JOIN THE DAMN MULTIPLAYER WITHOUT THE CONSTANT CRASHES. I bought premium that costed 80$ I can understand if this is a 15 indie game developed by a schizophrenic cat, but a multimillion/billion company? Unacceptable.

The game is damn fun when you can play it, the guns sound and feel good, the vehicles (when they are not glitching and teleporting around from bugs) are fun to play around with, the counter knifing is awesome :D, the maps are varied and fun to play around in, and the levolution is pretty and at times can change the whole course of the match. The graphics...we don't need to talk about them...you all know.

The game is very fun and i like it alot, but the blatant lack of finishing the game and very bad attempts at fixing it, bumped your score down to a 5. THIS IS IN APRIL 2014....AND YOU STILL HAVENT FIXED IT. The last "update" now doesnt even let me join the game. Solid job guys.

One of the most underwhelming, flat out bad SP experiences I have played in a long time. Tons of problems like constantly being forced out of the way where you are standing because NPC's very often have to move where you are standing no matter where it is. Friendly AI stand there and watch while enemies run by firing at them and they do nothing, These are just a couple of problems.

This game has one of the best graphics in an fps I've ever seen. Comparing to it's biggest rival COD, BF4 blows COD out of the freaking water (at least in terms of the graphics)!! The second plus for this game is the factions. Now you also get to play as China! No longer is it going to be America vs AlQaeda this AlQaeda that... America vs Russia. Same sh*t... Now you get something so fresh. Join China and shoot Americans lol. This is what I'd like to see. Different perspectives =)

Ok, besides graphics and factions, I'd say the shooting mechanics are well done too. The story mode is too scripted and linear but nobody plays it anyway so I won't judge the game by its sp. Overall, Battlefield 4 is a decent shooter with one striking problem that all shooters suffer from. The repetitiveness omgg!! You run, you gun, you camp, you capture locations, you get shot, and you wake up again. Over and over. So in 2 hours you'll be doing the same thing. After 4 hours, still the same...And after 10 hours. mate, it's just the same over and over. I mean, how long do you expect anyone to be doing this?? There's no strategy involved, no cooperation with teammates, no creativity, it's blind and mindless shooting. Lots of people are into that these days. WELL NOT ME!!! Not going to buy an fps anytime soon. And this game was released back in 2013!!

Third it's just not really fun. That's the biggest flaw. All the weapons are clones of each other. Maps are boring with map destruction being crap (fun to look at but it's actually a detriment to gameplay).
Vehicles own everything and there is still no system for assigning them to players, so you have to camp for it and get lucky if you want one.
Voice acting is surprisingly **** bad. Sound effects are pretty good, and like mentioned above graphics are of the highest possible quality, inducing erection in you for a few weeks until you get used to it.

DICE stuck to their roots with Battlefield 4. The game felt like a pretty fresh experience, at least for an FPS, that was until I realised how unfinished the game is.

First, this game is flawed. The gameplay is good, the maps are very hit and miss, but generally very enjoyable and the graphics are very nice. However, DICE have thrown the game out into the public with a lot of broken strings that, even after 14 months after release, still haven't bothered to fix. Instead, they decide to waste time whining on how EA robbed them while releasing mediocre DLC's that most people do not care for. This game is technically good and my negative views on it may be seen as nit-picking, but trust me, it is not. Many times I have had to give up playing due to problems that have overly complicated fixes that numerous purchasers have become victim to.

Despite this, the game is pretty much everything it looks on the outside. Its your typical addicting, eye candy military shooter. I admit that I didn't play the campaign but after Battlefield 3 it was clear where the ambition was, which is the multiplayer. If you know anything about modern FPS game's you probably know how the successful Battlefield formula works. Each map has typically about 32 to 64 slots, depending on the gamemode. The most popular gamemode is the conquest gamemode where two opposing sides must hold as different points of the map as they can to decrease the amount of tickets lost, the first team to reach 0 tickets loses. The maps are large and look stunning. As previously mentioned the map designs are very hit and miss. Some maps are very well designed, such as the brilliant Siege of Shanghai, a typical city map separated by the incredibly large and well designed skyscraper in the middle. This maps standouts out as it accomplishes the feeling of challenge when trying to capture or defend each point, all of which are very well designed. However, even this map if flawed after the skycraper falls as a 'levelution' which definitely was a poor design choice. The desert/warehouse setting of Zavod is also an excellent map which held some of my most intense and fondest moments of playing these games. These aside, BF4 suffers from a lot of poor map design, ranging from the messy and incomplete Hainan Resort to the claustrophobic and dull Operation Locker. The maps really don't balance out and the brilliant maps do not make up for the embarrassingly shocking ones.

The new content is also limited. Not much feels new, this may be a bit unfair since I did not play Battlefield 3 that much, but I felt as though I wasn't getting my $90 worth playing it. This point feels a bit unfair as it's pretty much what's expected for a sequel to a successful multiplayer FPS but its jump from its predecessor feels small compared to what BF3 did from BF2.

As negative as this review may feel, I actually had quite a blast playing this game. It definitely won't a game I see myself coming back to in the near future but it served it purpose well in delivery a fast paced, gorgeous FPS that I can see fans enjoying. For me however, the games bugs and numerous problems make the game more frustrating than it should be.

On top of that, the amount of customisations have been grately fleshed out. The weapons feels more personal as a result, which is a great improvement. The levolution is amazing, much more fun than the (Lets be fair now) underwhelming destructables the third tried to blow us away with. The atmosphere is beautiful, not as good as the trailers made it out to be, but i can live with it. And its still much better than the third game, which always made me feel like having a sudden faint on a painfully bright summer day. Love the new cover mechanic, very usefull in tight corner situations, makes operation metro actually playable. The game constantly keeps you on your toes, 9 minutes each team deathmach makes the game easy to just pick upp and play 30 minutes before going to work

    The Negtatives:

I absolutely HATE the constant crashes on dawnbraker, its simply a disaster thet these ones still happens 6 MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE!. But most of the negative aspects for me rests on the fact that this game underdelivers, considering its heritage. For example, (and this was a problem in the third game as well). The maps arent realy that big. Remember Bandar Desert in Battlefield 3? It was said to be the biggest map in battlefield history. My main point is, that that should be the OVERALL size of ALL the maps in both these games. Where did the MASSIVE areas that Battlefield 1942 gave us go? The game is called Battlefield! So where is the battleFIELDS?! On top of that, the conquests are way to short. A conquest lasts most times only 15 minutes. 15 MINUTES! What the hell! A Battlefield 1942 game could clock into over 40 minutes. A big letdown to those who hoped that the grapical wonders of this new game would go with the franchise an actually improve the game on all aspects

This game is still a great shooter game. Its still fun to play. The weapons feels better and most of the gameplay mechanics are an improvement from the third game. The downside is the crashes that should have been fixed long ago, preferable BEFORE RELEASE. The maps are small compared to the older games. The music is still a load of farting noices barely recembeling the epic trumpet of battlefield 1942. And the maps is still way to small to overcome the feeling that game gave us. I know it's bold to compare this with so much older games, but my point is that this game should not be outowned by the old battlefield 1942 i ANY AREAS. Overall, a good, unfortunately underwhelming, shooter that keeps you on your toes and never gets boring to play.

PS: In the 5th game, i expect to be able to control SHIP CRUIZERS! Don't disapoint me.

Remember how good Battlefield 3 was? me too. Don't get me wrong, if you are looking for your fix of Battlefield or just an FPS in general, Battlefield 4 delivers that experience, very inconsistently.

Now EA and DICE have rolled out patch after patch, steadily the game is getting better but still, to be this far into the game and still to have some major problems? that's unacceptable. The one thing you will notice though, is that all of these problems are server based.

If you can get beyond the inconsistencies of the game connection, there is still a lot of fun to be had. The graphics are as usual, brilliant, the audio through-out the game is incredible, seriously, play a game of large conquest with some headphones on, I guarantee you, you may soil yourself. OK maybe not, but you get the jist of it.

I gave Battlefield a 6/10 for a reason. Had I done this review a few months back, the score would of been a lot lower and you could possibly say that I could return to this review in a few months and the game will be worth a higher rating. I seriously doubt you will be disappointed if you are a Battlefield fan and you have yet to pick this up, the game still give you hours of entertainment, even more if you get a group of friends on.

Just beware of those damn servers.

Sure, the graphics have been given a bit of a boost, and overall the gameplay feels great, but it doesn't even scratch the surface compared to BF3, when it comes to the campaign. While the campaign was enjoyable, it felt more driven by gameplay, and fast-paced action, rather than story. And, in the end, I couldn't remember anyone's name, or how it even ended. However, I digress, as I know not everyone is quite as into the campaign as I am.

As far as multiplayer goes, I have only a few complaints, the main one is level design. The maps in BF4 are great, but they aren't quite as memorable as some of the maps from BF3, like Caspian Border, and Kharg Island among others. However, others may feel differently, this is my personal opinion, anyway.

Lastly, I feel one of the main problems with the game, even now, is the netcode. I am no expert in netcode, but when 95% of my kills/deaths are due to crossfire, and getting shot around corners, we have a problem. I think this is something that Dice really needs to focus on, as it really is a game-killer.

Overall, I would've given BF4 a higher score, but I am already being pretty generous, considering the fact that EA pushed this game out early, even though it wasn't even finished. And even to this day, it features a wide array of issues, which could have been avoided, given a little bit of extra time.

Play with five of your friends in a squad and there's no better gaming experience.

But they really needed specific maps for Rush. It's so unbalanced, offense usually has no chance. Rush mode on BF3 was good, and Rush on BC2 was near perfect. Considering that Rush is my favorite mode, I was really disappointed.

    Overall, still a good game

Like BF3 This Thing Is a Selling Points Even without the 64-player count, the fact that every mode in BF4 has more players means there are more enemies for you to shoot at, more people to heal, and resupply you – and probably the most important part: people squatting on vehicles won’t bog down a match to molasses.

    Gameplay 8/10
Graphics In BF4 Blow My Mind Gameplay and graphics are both beautiful and Sound So Realistic Even On Low-PC Gaming Spec

    Performance 6/10 (5.5 If Possible)
Unfortunately, the most annoying and nasty issue that lots of players have been harping on about – and with good reason – is the game just not working as intended. By this, I mean, the big “Battlefield 4 Has Stop Working” crash that will boot you out of the game completely. Another issue related to this is Sever Crashing, booting you out of matches for no good reason, and the occasional Unbalanced Gameplay,Overpowered Weapon and Netcode Issue Mostly On PC.

    Final Verdict : 7.3/10

The level/building destruction is nice but as it plays out in the gameplay mechanics is still not a main feature and offers mostly cinematic value. Where as if someone was hiding behind a wall from your tank in the pre-destruction battlefield games the only difference now is that they will have to hide further back or retreat behind another wall or object to gain protection. In a way this is balancing, but it still feels like there's not much point to leveling a building in BF 4.

When it came out this game was a non functioning POS and even when it did function the servers would only update the clients 10 times a second which as it turns out is the worst thing you could do to a visceral FPS experience. EA titles should always be approached with caution knowing that their first priority is revenue and having a decent (or functioning) gaming experience is NOT a priority at all. The only reason it got fixed is because nobody would have bought their subsequent battlefield games if their last one was still broken 2 years after release.

That said... today battlefield 4 is a polished functional and GOOD experience. The formula has been mostly graphically upgraded from BF 3 but the formula remains true. Unfortunately there has really not been enough innovation in modern mainstream video games to render this obsolete.

So if you're looking for a FPS that involves large numbers of troops fighting as infantry and in vehicles, on good maps, includes some creative strategic thinking, with great graphics, and offers squad play as it's key dynamic its hard to go wrong with battlefield 4.

The only thing to take note of is that you will encounter in almost any game, players who use cheats to see positions of other players. This is not the same as using the minimap. The most common type shows boxes around each enemy even behind walls and across the map. It is extremely obvious who these players are and often nothing is done about it. Because of this, I'm giving this game 1 point lower of a score. It cannot be overlooked however in the end it is not gamebreaking.

So what is about it? There are so many gadgets and weapons in this game that around 40% I have not and would not use at all. Why? Because most of them are purposeless or there are other options of weapons of perks which are far superior to the rest of the content in the game.

Map variation is OK, there are a lot of them and you certainly will find a couple which perfectly suit your style or preference.

Graphics? Nothing too special, even though Shanghai tower falling looks really cool.

Gameplay and stability? If you look back at the launch state, this game was absolute crap, as I was spending on average 10-15 minutes looking for the server which was not crashing. Moreover, **** net code was adding fuel to the flame confirming that EA pretty much does not care about quality of the product at the release state.

As I am writing this review now most of the issues were fixed and there are loads of people playing this game, as it is far more attractive than BF Hardline and most of the people are tired of BF 3.

So, If I was writing this review in 2013, I would give 1-3 just because how bad this game was, but after 2 years passed even bunch of crappy programers could manage fixing big issues, therefore leaving BF 4 at OK state, still with problems like reload bug and unbalanced weapons present.

Had a lots of fun on this game but unfortunately with new patches and 'fixes' comes new bugs. Further more 'net code' sucks from day one. There has been 'fixes' for 'net code' but actually they didn't fix anything. What they did is nerf weapons damage so when someone starts shooting at you, you'll be able to notice it but there is still that one shot death present despite nerfs.

First of the story of the company: the worst "partners" in the history of shooters, such nonsense I have not seen anywhere else, if not marked enemies and thus did not give the order (press the Q button throughout the game), these idiots will just sit and watch, even if the enemy is right in front of them, the system will ignore them, as if they do not exist, that's the case. Pleased with the freedom, more cinematic, at least some companions (more or less with the character), the mission on the tank, shooting, pumping, collecting tokens. Overall nicer and more fun than a three-pointer.
At the expense of multiplayer, in short: a lot of excess, almost everywhere, a lot of body kits that are duplicated or half is not used, but it's nice to open them, to get experience for them, to open the next case, to include the increase of experience, which just endlessly fall, although up to 100 rank, you can pump very quickly, do not compare Can't tell you where the best shooting, but a 4 if you compare the trunks of the 3, it seems that as it is easier without recoil, and generally if everything is too simplified, even with the machine gun, you don't need to broadcast the arm which significantly helped in 3, here is something else all.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As of today, in 2019, with still a few thousand active players and after DICE LA (Danger Close) seemingly saved this game from the downfall that Sweden put it In, I'm very happy to announce that even to this day, the game is content rich and very fun to play, extremely balanced and nothing feels to awful on the multiplayer end, however, the single player is an insult to Kjell (Dice employee who passed. was ex military, the BF4 campaign had a song made for him). The story campaign wise makes little to no sense, has easy terminology such as "sailor, or "marine" mixed up on characters that are not those things, clearly has no clue how US Military works at all, cutscenes that are broken, sequences that fail to trigger and cause massive anger as these bugs are game breaking like when trying to kill the Helo in the first mission, many times it wont die, how BF3 story is more polished than this is beyond me, the campaign, though its acting was amazing, just felt lazy, example, when you leave china and are on the pontoon and irish is yelling for people to follow him, he tends to yell toward the front of the boat, implying people are there too, yet if you look, there's no ships or people there, like what the **** are you yelling at? it just feels out of place. The war they are in makes no sense, also how Chinese managed to take out a whole US fleet and none of these ships seemingly had any of there tech working or had any sort of comms because apparently EMP knocks out everything for 50km out to sea causing a fleet of 20 ships to go down to one, because it makes sense that top of the line military hardware including AA cant shoot down **** helo's or apparently nobody mans their stations... Even worse is the ending, DICE clearly has no clue how C4 works, also WHY THE HELL DID SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE WHEN THEY LEFT A RHIB BOAT RIGHT NEXT TO THEM WHERE THE C4 CHARGE WAS SUPPOSED TO SIT, LIKE DID DICE FORGET HOW THE "MARINES" ENDED UP GRAPPLED TO A BRIDGE??? NOBODY HAD TO DIE, ALSO C4 WOULD NOT KILL YOU IF YOU JUST ****ING SWAM LOW, ALSO SINCE WHEN DID C4 JUST BLOW UP DESTROYERS?? Like jesus they put zero effort into this story at all. Its absolutely repulsive, which makes you wonder, they spent so much money on the story yet its this awful, I mean **** they had RYAN REYNOLDS AS YOUR CHARACTER ON THE BOX, USED HIM AS THE CHARACTER MODEL FOR RECKER, HAD ALL THESE HOLLYWOOD NAMES, YET THE STORY WAS THAT BAD. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

I can't stand the servers. That's it. I hate the servers and i hate how the origin platform works. I'm sad because it's a good game, but i just can't stand the platform where it works.

    Complete waste of time
this game is full of bugs
not only the worst war game I've ever played but the worst game I've ever played
some missions are just impossible to complete because of the bugs in this game
and they still haven't fixed them after all this time

Snipers, vehicles, shotguns, and explosives are a significant problem. Vehicles are a massive issue. One feels like you cannot play the game without dealing with vehicles which are unbalanced against infantry. It feels like it wants to be an infantry and a vehicle game at the same time. Yet cross domain combat is insidious at almost all times.

Güzel oyun. Tavsiye ederim. Oynanması gereken bir oyun. Bu tarzdan hoşlananlar sevecektir.

After Battlefield 3, this game feels more like a DLC than a new entry. Not a bad game, but the bugs and dumb AI in sinle-player make it a painful experience.

there are definitely shortcomings, not very good, not very bad, but one or six can be considered bad

I am one of those who like 4 more than 3 and i mean it in every way story and gameplay this one just feels more idk how to put i but easier to enjoy... maybe idk i feel like veterans of 3 are just unforgiving and on 4 you can enjoy more things.

Decent but forgettable. Battlefield 4 felt like it hung right between the hayday of Call of Duty and the downward spiral of live service games that followed.

Battlefield 4 could just as well be called Battlefield 3.5. The new Battlefield features are only marginal improvements over Battlefield 3, but even as such it leaves the competitors way behind. Hopefully the bugs will be squashed soon. [Nov 2013]

Even if multiplayer wasn't buggy, Battlefield 4 would still only be a barely passable installment in all respects besides the snazzy graphics. EA and DICE played it safe by providing the same thing they did the last time around, with another phoned-in campaign and only minor alterations to the online.

Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.
