    My favourite game from the Arkham series. All the villains fights were unique and the combat is by far the highest point in the game.

    The Batman game that started the excellent Arkham Trilogy by Rocksteady Studios!

    Pros:
    + Story is good!
    + Gameplay is good!
    + Great voice acting by Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammill returning as their iconic roles as Batman
    and Joker!
    + Great world building and lots of easter eggs and references!

    Cons:
    - Gadgets could have been used more in exploration

    Its an amazing game with the visuals and combat is a lot of fun. Its great game for fans of batman and it has everything batman story should have. Sadly the final boss is bad and the end of story as well.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. * 7 June 2021 * less than 7, for some reason didn’t like in the end as much as I liked Origins, although Asylum felt better at first. Maybe because it is more childish/comic’ish/older + and I realized that Batman has mental problems: him not killing anyone started to irritate. * Finished in 2 days I guess. I thought that by 2009 they would know better than to use THAT batman outfit, simply cringe.… Expand

    Перша дійсно ААА - гра про супергероя, класний сюжет, бойова система, яку згодом будуть копіювати усі. Класна картинка, класні рівні, колоритні персонажі (Світ Бетмена взагалі самий обширний та продуманий серед усіх коміксів). 8 - тому що далі нам покажуть, що можна ще краще.Перша дійсно ААА - гра про супергероя, класний сюжет, бойова система, яку згодом будуть копіювати усі. Класна картинка, класні рівні, колоритні персонажі (Світ Бетмена взагалі самий обширний та продуманий серед усіх коміксів). 8 - тому що далі нам покажуть, що можна ще краще.

    진짜 잘 만들긴 잘 만들었다. 여러 캐릭터 요소나 퍼즐같은 게임들도 많고 몰입하게 되는 것들도 많다.

I mean, it doesn't try to pretend it is real, it doesn't try to immerse you or move you in any way but surprisingly it still manages to give you a hell of fun. The secret is pretty simple: the gameplay, controls and animation is so good that you enjoy every step you make, everyMaybe I will say something strange now but Batman:Arkham Asylum is one of the "gamiest" games I have ever played. I mean, it doesn't try to pretend it is real, it doesn't try to immerse you or move you in any way but surprisingly it still manages to give you a hell of fun. The secret is pretty simple: the gameplay, controls and animation is so good that you enjoy every step you make, every blow you hit, every flight you take.
    It fully embraces the fact it is not a book, it is not a movie but a game and it worked out pretty well (unlike "Journey", for example).
    Ah, and btw, looks like video games is a more appropriate medium to tell a story of a billionaire fighting criminals in a bat costume than movies are.    … Expand

    Initially I was a bit reluctant to try this game, since I had heard that it takes place on one island, which is undoubtedly the smallest map any game has to offer nowadays. But then I decided to give it a go anyway when Epic gave it away. Before this I had only played Arkham Origins and seeing that the Batman in Arkham Asylum is that "underwear Batman", I was even more hesitant in tryingInitially I was a bit reluctant to try this game, since I had heard that it takes place on one island, which is undoubtedly the smallest map any game has to offer nowadays. But then I decided to give it a go anyway when Epic gave it away. Before this I had only played Arkham Origins and seeing that the Batman in Arkham Asylum is that "underwear Batman", I was even more hesitant in trying it. But somehow I convinced myself that I can't understand Arkham City or Knight without playing this one so I will somehow "convince" myself into playing this.

    Turns out I was wrong. This game is a downright masterpiece. Unlike most games that make your environment constricted, this one actually makes it feel very, very open. All the villains we knew are in this game - Joker (of course), Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Killer Croc, Scarecrow. And then there's Riddler's puzzles which help us unlock the character bios and trophies.

    Speaking of that, the side quests of this game are excellent. It's what one can enjoy doing once they've finished the main game. This review comes at a time when I haven't played Arkham City yet, so I don't know if they have maintained this level of side quests later on (it wasn't this entertaining in Arkham Origins so I'm a bit sceptical).

    I can say this for sure that this is one of the best stealth games of the time it was released, with the only possible contender being Assassin's Creed II. I hope I will come back to this game at some other point in my life, since I want to solve all of Riddler's challenges.    … Expand

    I didn't expect this game to be that good. It is actually a really pleasant surprise for me. Despite the fact that this is quite an old game it's really modern and addictive. Graphic on PC is stunning, gameplay is all right but could be better. Story is short and little bit stupid but overall it is a really good experience! Btw unfortunately through my playthrough i had a lot of crushingI didn't expect this game to be that good. It is actually a really pleasant surprise for me. Despite the fact that this is quite an old game it's really modern and addictive. Graphic on PC is stunning, gameplay is all right but could be better.     This is a really good game but I played it when I already played Batman Arkham Knight and I can't say that Arkham Asylum better than Arkham Knight.

    Sempre gostei do Batman, mas depois desse jogo passei a esperar mais de todas as outras mídias quando o assunto é Batman.

    Meu computador é uma torradeira e consegui me divertir demais. Com certeza esse jogou criou um padrão para jogos de heróis, tentam copiar isso até hoje em outras obras.

But we will move on from the characters, even if they form a crucial role here. For example, I will not mention Harley Quinn or others, because it would be a long time to describe how much I like their processing here. So let's move on to an amazing environment. The Joker's madhouse has its charm. You go through this whole institute and solve various puzzles or ways to get somewhere else with the help of Batman toys, such as explosive gel or others. Of course, what kind of Batman would it be if we didn't have the opportunity to really beat up a few bastards doing trouble to others. Our dark bat hero has a lot of delicious combos here, thanks to which you will give one poem a blow to the enemas. In addition to all this, you can improve Batman with the progress of the acquired XP, so that gradually the battles are even better. The story is amazing and I don't want to spoiler it for you. I will just mention that there is also Scarecrow, which is one of my very favorite characters from the DC world. The passages with him in this game are absolutely luxurious and I swallowed with pleasure. Subsequently, we will see some couple of boss fights, which are also not wrong. In fact, the only mistake of the game is the already mentioned institute in which the game is located. Although I praised him and he is amazing, he is quite small and you will go through it quite quickly. In other words, if you are not interested in the story and you just want to run around the game so freely, you have no option where to go. Otherwise, this is an amazing game, which I recommend, logically mainly to fans of Batman, but I think that even the biggest fans of Batman can enjoy the game.… Expand

    The start of a beautiful game franchise. Slightly marred by the release of Arkham Knight on pc but we wont talk about that. This game is very well put together with each part of the map having a reason for being there. One of the benefits of it being a relatively small map.

    Invented a genre basically with its combat system, great atmosphere. After Nolan's films Batman deserved a great gaming franchise and this started it.

    First of all, I don't like beat 'em up games. That's why I'm bored fighting in this game. But I think the fighting mechanics are well designed compared to other beat 'em up games. The overall atmosphere of the game is very good. It reflects the Gotham style well. The character voices and the design of the characters are very nice. The graphics are pretty good for the year. Music is nice.First of all, I don't like beat 'em up games. That's why I'm bored fighting in this game. But I think the fighting mechanics are well designed compared to other beat 'em up games.     Amazing story, great boss fights, controls are really easy to use and allow you to pull of some really fun and satisfying puzzles. The storyline is also really good, and each fight can be approached in many different ways. The only problem I have with this game are the Riddler trophies, which can be a pain to collect, especially when you have already completed the main story.

    Начну я свой обзор с того что купил игру на скидках, так как не возлагал больших надежд на данную игру. А прошёл я данную игру буквально сегодня. И могу сказать, что сюжет в этой игре хороший, конечно не без минусов или изъян, но хороший. А вот то, что самое главное в этой игре, для чего я и многие другие купили эту игру, это захватывающие битвы между    Одна из лучших игр про супергероев.

    Начну я свой обзор с того что купил игру на скидках, так как не возлагал больших надежд на данную игру. А прошёл я данную игру буквально сегодня. И могу сказать, что сюжет в этой игре хороший, конечно не без минусов или изъян, но хороший. А вот то, что самое главное в этой игре, для чего я и многие другие купили эту игру, это захватывающие битвы между Бэтменом и Джокером, а также другими злодеями. Раз мы остановились на битвах, я расскажу о минусах:

    Минусы:
    1.Блокирование – С начала игры и практически до её конца игры я не видел, никакой нормальной блокировки, как это было в Arkham City. В нескольких шагах от Бэтмена стоит бандит, и он его не может заблокировать. А вот если он стоит в конце карты, то мы его конечно заблочим!
    2.Битвы с боссами – Всего здесь их три. Первая с Бичем. Вторая с Ядовитым плющом. Третия с Джокером. Битч – легкий. Плющ - легкий. Джокер – легкий. Тут и говорить нечего.
    3.Последний минус это мелкие косяки по типу ног Бэтмена проходящих через голову бандитов, с озвучкой Харли Квин на русском (она мне очень потрепала нервишки) и так далее. Но их можно простить игре 2009 года.

    И, конечно же, плюсы данной игры. К слову их довольно много, поэтому я пробегу по ним быстро:

    Плюсы:
    1.Джокер – ОН АФИГЕНЫЙ ПЕРСОНАЖ. По суть он тащит всю игру на себе.
    2.Лечебница Архем – Проработан каждый дюйм этой лечебницы. Гуляй, где хочешь и делай что хочешь.
    3.Много гаджетов – Название о себе и говорит. Бери в руки бэткоготь и перемешайся из вышки в вышку или же бери в руки бэтеранг и круши врагов.
    4.Биографии персонажей – За это огромное спасибо Rocksteay Studio. Очень много узнал о любимых персонажей и не только.

    My favourite game of all time. The atmosphere is amazing, acting is professional and the gameplay keeps you playing. I also loved the Riddler trophies, kept me playing for days. I would recommend the whole series (except Warner's game, the Arkham Origins). Amazing graphics with details.

    Wonderful game, even for someone like me who isn't big fan of Batman, or even comics overall. The gameplay is interesting (play on gamepad), map is small-ish and restricted but it's enough for the premise of the game. I was absolutely blown by the voice-over and style of the Joker.

Jokerin çok kolay yakalanmasından şüphelenen Batman, Joker'e akıl hastanesinin içine kadar eşlik eder. Çok geçmeden Batman'in tahminleri doğru çıkar ve bunun bir tuzak olduğu anlaşılır. Joker, Harley Quinn'in yardımı ile güvenlik görevlilerinden kurtulur ve akıl hastanesinde saklanmaya başlar. Görev çeşitliliği konusunda da oyunda maalesef sorunlar var, görevler bir yerden sonra kendini çok tekrar etmeye başlıyor, oyun genel olarak iyi olsa da aynı şeyleri sürekli yapmak bir yerden sonra sıkıcı bir hal alıyor.     This game is damn-near perfect. The combat is flawless, the length is perfect, the story is great, the collectibles are awesome, and the map/setting is just amazing, acting like a 3d metrovania. There's something about the smaller setting of Arkham Island that really makes this game shine and the bigger games like City and Knight just can't compete with.

    I can say with confidence and cannot stress enough, Batman: Arkham Asylum is, without a doubt, the best Batman game ever created. It does more than give you the Batman game you want, it gives you a video game that you could play repeatedly, even if it didn't have the caped and cowled Dark Knight in it.
