    First game in the Arkham series. It has always been my least favorite and least remembered game. There are a lot of things I found boring because of the maps being too small and the limitations in the gameplay, but it's definitely not a bad game and it's still playable.

    I didn't expect this game to be that good. It is actually a really pleasant surprise for me. Despite the fact that this is quite an old game it's really modern and addictive. Graphic on PC is stunning, gameplay is all right but could be better. Story is short and little bit stupid but overall it is a really good experience! Btw unfortunately through my playthrough i had a lot of crushingI didn't expect this game to be that good. It is actually a really pleasant surprise for me. Despite the fact that this is quite an old game it's really modern and addictive. Graphic on PC is stunning, gameplay is all right but could be better. Story is short and little bit stupid but overall it is a really good experience! Btw unfortunately through my playthrough i had a lot of crushing and freezing...… Expand

    Had little to no expectations, when i was beginning to play i thought to myself this game ain't for me i won't enjoy this. Oh boy i was wrong really enjoyed to the bone, found myself collecting riddler trophies and its the reason why this game won't get a higher rating for me, riddler stuff sucks collected all for a **** phone call.

    I'm not a batman comics fan and i look at this game with cold mind and what i see? Boring gameplay, limited stealth, NO WAY TO FIGHT FACE ON FACE, and medium story on 710.

    Kapiram da je za to vreme bila top ali je sve bila gora i gora, onda bug sa videom kada ne mogu da ga ogledam normalno jako je smarao i bug zadnji boss nisam mogao da ga predjem. Repetativan kombat upgrades su onako, likovi su top ali ono boss fight su meh bili.

    gameplay is ok, but not great, a few fights with boses are really bad and the last one, with GIGA JOKER is terrible, plot is bad and lore of dc comics not used well enough. but actually it was pretty good to play

    Играю впервые в 2021 году, поэтому чувства ностальгии нет.

    Для тех, кто хочет попробовать пройти всю трилогию и купил ее по скидке за гроши, эта часть может показаться морально устаревшей. Меня не зацепил ни сюжет, ни геймплей. P.S. Стоит отдать должное тому влиянию, которое игра оказала на жанр.    Играю впервые в 2021 году, поэтому чувства ностальгии нет.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Batman: Arkham Asylum iyi bir oyun. Hemen oyunun hikayesini anlatayım. Joker, Batman tarafından yakalanıp Gotham'daki akıl hastalarının ve katillerin bulunduğu Arkham Asylum'a getirilir. Jokerin çok kolay yakalanmasından şüphelenen Batman, Joker'e akıl hastanesinin içine kadar eşlik eder. Çok geçmeden Batman'in tahminleri doğru çıkar ve bunun bir tuzak olduğu anlaşılır. Joker, Harley Quinn'in yardımı ile güvenlik görevlilerinden kurtulur ve akıl hastanesinde saklanmaya başlar. Daha sonra Harley Quinn suçluların bulunduğu hücrelerin kapısını açarak onları serbest bırakır ve akıl hastanesinde büyük bir kaos boy gösterir. Bu sırada Batman, komiser Jim Gordon'ın Joker tarafından kaçırıldığını öğrenir ve onu kurtarmanın yollarını arar. Jim Gordon'ı kurtarmak için Joker'in peşine düştüğü sırada Batman, Joker tarafından Scarecrow'un gazına maruz bırakılır ve kabus görmeye başlar. Kabusun etkisinden kurtulduktan sonra hemen Joker'in peşine düşen Batman onu bulur. Fakat Joker, Bane'in vücuduna Titan enjekte etmiştir. Titan, vücuda girdiğinde kas hacmini orantısız şekilde büyütüp güçlendiren bir çeşit formüldür. Formül Dr. Young tarafından bulunmuştur. Batman, Bane'i yener fakat Bane ile dövüştüğü sırada Joker kaçar. Ardından Batman, Jim Gordon'ı kurtarır ve onu Gotham şehrine gönderir. Daha sonra Batman, Joker'in Titan'ı kendi adamlarına enjekte ederek çok güçlü bir ordu kurmayı planladığını öğrenir. Bu yüzden Batman, Dr. Young'ın notlarına ulaşarak Titan formülünün bilgilerine Joker'den önce ulaşmayı amaçlar. Batman notlara daha önce ulaşsa da Joker, Dr. Young'ı tehdit ederek Titan'ı almayı başarmıştır. Ivy'yi yendikten sonra tekrar Joker'in peşine düşen Batman onu bulur fakat Joker hem Batman'e hem de kendisine Titan enjekte eder, Batman hazırladığı panzehri kontrolden çıkıp canavara dönüşmemek için kendi üzerinde kullanır ve Titan'dan dolayı canavara dönüşen Joker ile savaşır. Batman, Joker ile olan dövüşünü kazanır ve Joker de dahil Arkham Asylum'dan kaçan tüm suçlular tekrar akıl hastanesine geri götürülür, hikaye bu şekilde sonlanır. Oyunun hikayesi bir çizgi roman uyarlamasına göre fena sayılmaz, çok detaylı veya derin bir hikaye olmasa da Batman: Arkham Asylum'ın çıkış yaptığı tarihe kadarki çizgi roman uyarlamalarında bu seviyede bir hikaye yoktu. Hikaye sunumu konusunda da oyun yine ortalama düzeyde, çok iyi bir sunum olmasa da genel olarak sunum iyi düzeyde. Seslendirmelerin hikayeye ve oyuna çok büyük katkı sağladığını söyleyebilirim, Batman ve Joker'in seslendirmeleri özenle ve profesyonelce hazırlanmış, bu da oyuncunun atmosferi sevmesini sağlıyor. Oynanış konusunda da oyun oldukça güçlü. Dövüş sistemi çok keyifli ve günümüzde bile hala kendini oynattırıyor. Özellikle animasyonların çok akıcı olması dövüş mekaniklerini en çok güçlendiren etmen olmuş. Ayrıca dövüş sistemi gayet çeşitli, oyun boyunca açılan yeni silahların dövüşlerde kullanılabilmesi ve yetenek ağacındaki bazı özellikler dövüşlerdeki çeşitliliği arttırıyor. Yetenek ağacından konu açılmışken, oyundaki yetenek ağacı her ne kadar dövüşlerin çeşitliliğine katkı sağlasa da yeteri kadar alternatife sahip değil. Yetenek ağacında mevcut olan yükseltmelerin büyük çoğunluğu dövüşlere yeni hareketler eklemek yerine var olan hareketleri/silahları güçlendirmeye yarıyor. Oynanıştaki en büyük eksikliğe gelelim, yani bölüm sonu canavarı dövüşlerine. Oyunda yalnızca 3 tane eşsiz bölüm sonu canavarı dövüşü var, geriye kalanlar ise aynı dövüşün farklı karaktere karşı yaptığımız hali. Geriye kalan diğer 3 bölüm sonu canavarı dövüşü de iyi sayılmaz, Scarecrow bölümleri fena olmasa da diğerleri olması gereken kalitede değil. Görev çeşitliliği konusunda da oyunda maalesef sorunlar var, görevler bir yerden sonra kendini çok tekrar etmeye başlıyor, oyun genel olarak iyi olsa da aynı şeyleri sürekli yapmak bir yerden sonra sıkıcı bir hal alıyor. Bölüm tasarımı olarak ise oyun gayet iyi, Arkham'ın atmosferi çok iyi sağlanmış. Grafikler günümüz standartlarına göre biraz geride, performans olarak da bazı sorunlar var, ara ara takılmalar yaşadım. Oyunu oynarken herhangi bir hata ile karşılaşmadım. Batman: Arkham Asylum bu haliyle de iyi bir oyun olsa da kendini çok tekrar etmesi gibi sebeplerden dolayı daha iyi olma potansiyelini değerlendirememiş.… Expand

Maybe because it is more childish/comic’ish/older + and I realized that Batman has mental problems: him not killing anyone started to irritate. * Finished in 2 days I guess. I thought that by 2009 they would know better than to use THAT batman outfit, simply cringe.… Expand

    agility is very slow, you dodge very slow, it's like you carrying a stone in your body, actually it doesn't make the game more difficult but just annoying

Al final termina prevaleciendo su estilo hack and Slash con elementos de otros géneros. No obstante transmite de manera muy eficaz lo que se sentiría ser batman, y ese es su punto mas fuerte.     Semmi izgalom, semmi hangulat, unalmas és lassú. Borzalmas játékmenet és érdektelen főcselekmény. A karakterek kidolgozottsága borzalmas.

    In the first part of the Arkham-series, Bruce Wayne beats himself through masses of mad culprits, Super-villains, his own mind and much more. All these points make a grand comic videogame.

I did rather enjoyed playing the game and the graphics were good and it ran well. It was an interesting metroid-like experience.

    So, I think the story wasn't very good. Some of the character designs were bad imho. Too many repeated enemies like the bug tank bosses. Like, what's up with that and why? Did imagination on the project end at 2 enemies? Like, a boss became an enemy and that's really bad. And, there was a lot of repeated levels to possibly lengthen out the game.

    I also felt the voice acting wasn't very good on batmans part. Maybe the batman voice actor has gotten too old. He said his lines in most boring way like he has been doing batman for so many years and he's just tired of it but he's voice acting in this game just for the money. It was really bad...I wish they would have just hired another person for the part. Just try someone new, please...The joker was fine but maybe his voice actor should be changed as well. He was in to it for the most part but I felt that he didn't really fit the joker role in this game. For the cartoon he fit it perfectly, though. I also found the ending to be really bad and it abruptly ended. I was dissapointed.

    Anyways, 68% and the game is completed. It's good that there's more modes to play in the game other than the story but I'm not going to waste my time playing it and you shouldn't either. This game was a mediocre experience that I thought would get better but it never did. It was just okay and that's fine. This game is alright.    … Expand

    Truly, this is a great game. I love the setting, love the collectathon aspect, love the connection to the comics, and I think I have never seen a game that loves its source material as much.

    However, as I am not big on comics, I feel like a lot of references and plot points fly over my head.     Pretty good game, awesome combat and environment. Boss fights were also brilliant, but I didn't like the story.

    The game was a bit boring, story was kinda original (as for Batman series), but not interesting. As long as you spam Y, the combat is easy and unchallengeing. Personally, didn't like the location of Arkham Asylum. Also ending was extremely unsatisfying. On the other hand, I was greeted with smooth gameplay, suitable comic-ish graphic layout (HUD, main menu, etc.) and nice choice of gadgetsThe game was a bit boring, story was kinda original (as for Batman series), but not interesting.     O jogo é bom, mas o seu desempenho e porte no PC deixam e muito a desejar principalmente em placas de vídeo do seguimento Radeon, esse infelizmente não tem como perdoar não .

    - Don't waste your time (I did) trying to reach the riddles. Keep that for the very end (even after the end.) The game doesn't give you the tools until late, therefore you will have to revisit every map anyway. Dick move.
    - Non-Detective Mode. I'm still wondering, what would be the point of turning off the detective mode ? This system is simply awkward.

    - Fluidity of movement and controls

    Despite what it looks like (more worst than best entries,) the game is in fact quite enjoyable. The exploration is good and makes you forget the puerility of the characters. Mook fights are dynamic and short enough not to feel too repetitive. Sneaking is fun, gliding is pleasant, the gadgets are amusing enough. All in all, I had mostly a good time. The gameplay can be improved, however the asylum itself is a joy to visit.    … Expand

    The game is good, but it does not reach the masterpiece (as all authoritative publications screamed about it), a primitive combat system and monotony, in general, it came to an end with difficulty. But if you are a fan of Batman, the trilogy of Arkham is obligatory for passage.

    I think that this is truly a unique game and I would recommend that if you are a fan of this type of genre then I think you should give this game a try.

    I can say with confidence and cannot stress enough, Batman: Arkham Asylum is, without a doubt, the best Batman game ever created. It does more than give you the Batman game you want, it gives you a video game that you could play repeatedly, even if it didn't have the caped and cowled Dark Knight in it.
