    I grew up loving the feeling of getting lost deep in a game - Pokémon Yellow, Skyrim, Halo. As I got older, I still love to play but haven’t felt that deep love and magic in a long time. Baldurs Gate made me feel like I felt when I would stay up all night with my game boy color, desperate to advance the story a little further.     A rich and immersive game, with great freedom of action and choices. Outstanding characters, an engaging story, fun and so perfectly developed that you can play it several times without getting bored. Highly recommended for D&D fans, as it's the closest thing to a tabletop RPG ever created. Highly recommended for anyone who has never played this type of game as well.

    Absolutely amazing game. The amount of choice in this game is incredible and very impressive. Apart from some occasional bugs which is considered normal in today’s gaming industry this game doesn’t have any issues I can see personally. Only recently got into CRPG games but this is a massive step up in production value compared to the others. Highly recommend to any RPG fan or fans ofAbsolutely amazing game.     Great game, hope they make more stories for the game that are not necessarily connected to the main game. Characters are awesome, what rules they had to modify for PC from 5th edition rules are done nicely. Only issue I have is as Wizard I can't craft scrolls to build up my arsenal.

    Overla issue is that there is no type of quest builder for us to make our own maps and play.

    Easily the greatest RPG I have ever played. A towering achievement in the art of video games. My partner and I have already put 96 hours into our first play-through and we've only just now crossed into Act 3. This is the kind of game that will be looked back on for decades.     As someone who doesn't really play these kinds of games,i will say this game is a breath of fresh air.

    The story is one of the best i've ever played in gaming, and the character development is insanely well done.The combat does take a while to get used to as it can be a little slow, especially when theres 50 enemies on the screen (It would be nice to have a triple speed for the enemies    As someone who doesn't really play these kinds of games,i will say this game is a breath of fresh air.

    There are 0 microtransactions and i personally have played 180 hours with one a few laggy spots and only two major bug (a boss was bugged for me and a companions romance quest was bugged for me)

    Larian deserves all the praise in the world for making arguably a top 3 best game of all time,dont listen to the little crybabies review bombing the game because the game was too hard for them or they just played a dnd game without even liking dnd.    … Expand

    Amazing, beautiful, well designed, well voiced over game. Deep characters. Tons of content. Superb mechanics. That’s what every game should be. What’s even better - no **** no “pay to win”, you buy a full working game, no micro transactions. Sweeeeeet!!!!

    Best CRPG of the decade. 200+ hours and counting; this game continues to surprise me with its immersive story and character development. No microtransactions, no game breaking bugs, this game is what other AAA studios should aspire to when developing games.

    literally the best game i've ever played. there's thousands of hours of content, an amazing story, companions with deep personal interactions and stories. gameplay is amazing. its absolutely worth playing and replaying

    This game far exceeded my expectations. The role playing is great, voice acting is great, the characters are actually interesting, you can talk to animals, like all of the animals. This is easily the closest that a video game has ever gotten to feel like playing an in-person campaign of DnD.

    I forgot the last time I played an RPG with writing this good. Game developers have been really lazy in my opinion about their writing but this game does not disappoint. A really good game, its got my vote for Game of the Year.

    What a beautifully crafted game. Its easy to see right away that a lot of heart and care has gone into this game, something sorely lacking in most games today.

    The Story in Bladurs Gate and Forza Horizon has to be the exact polar opposite, here we have a well thought out Text, Face animation, and amusing/exiting choises, in Forza you the whole story was written by an AI Chat Bot. and this is only the Chat Part!
    Other then Pokemon or Chrono Trigger i never played much of Turn-based Games, but its very fitting for this Game, a Friend was turned    The Story in Bladurs Gate and Forza Horizon has to be the exact polar opposite, here we have a well thought out Text, Face animation, and amusing/exiting choises, in Forza you the whole story was written by an AI Chat Bot. and this is only the Chat Part!
    Other then Pokemon or Chrono Trigger i never played much of Turn-based Games, but its very fitting for this Game, a Friend was turned off by the open Camera, but its like a Sandbox Camera Style with Alot of Freedom and good Visibality over the Fight and the World (with WASD + Native Camera mod)
    The Quest are another Outstanding Point, i coundn't tell the diffenece between Main and Side Mission, both where of peak Quality and Amusement
    Overall Larin Studius made a new Fan in me and many others and pushed it self of one of the current best Game makers in the Game with this Title!    … Expand

    It's almost unbelievable what the devs have achieved here. Finally, players have the freedom to make their own choices. Every action, every response, everything you do or say has an impact on the world. The world, in a way, evolves with the player. Fantastic.

    However, I must note that the third act feels unfinished. Some storylines lead to nowhere and there are still many bugs present.    It's almost unbelievable what the devs have achieved here.     Turn-based combat is a mixed bag. I found it somewhat boring at times. But the opportunity to finally have the freedom to decide what my character does in the world is definitely worth it.    … Expand

    I didn’t expect to like this game as much as I do and I never rate games a 10 but this is a game I can’t stop thinking about. That hasn’t happened since I was a child. I can’t say what exactly is so great about it because I agree with a lot of criticism of this game. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s still incredible game and the only game in the past decade besides Factorio that II didn’t expect to like this game as much as I do and I never rate games a 10 but this is a game I can’t stop thinking about. That hasn’t happened since I was a child. I can’t say what exactly is so great about it because I agree with a lot of criticism of this game.     With a vast world to explore with varied stories and secrets to discover, Baldur's Gate 3 definitely shines. The cast is largely appealing and voice acting is top notch all-around, even if the storytelling and line delivery is varied in its pace. Character progression is somewhat weak in the opening levels but has a strong foundation for a great buildcraft experience, even if it lacks some on the fly experimentation seen in Larian's past efforts. Despite some performance woes in the later parts of the game and controller hangups, this is a journey worth taking for fans of Dungeons & Dragons or those new to the role playing field.

    Larian Studios, the creators of the latest installment, have gone to great lengths to make sure they didn't disgrace any of the franchise's building blocks. The love and care is evident in Baldur's Gate 3, though needless to pretend, there aren't a few bricks crumbling here and there in this monument. It's far from a perfect title, but on the whole Baldur's Gate 3 is a brilliant computer RPG that is undoubtedly not to be overlooked. [Issue#329]

    Baldur’s Gate III is a title that many would not have thought possible just a few years ago. The game serves to further Larian Studios’s already strong reputation, and the studio deserves massive credit for refusing to panic, taking its time to get things right, and continuing to offer improvements even after launch at an impressive rate. Hopefully, it is able to reap the richly deserved rewards for doing so.
