Jun 29, 2011It wraps up all the plotlines and does a fantastic job of it.
-
Jun 24, 2011The season closes extremely well and develops the overall Back to the Future mythos in some very interesting ways.
-
Aug 16, 2011Of particular note is the great climax and emotionally satisfying ending. It wraps everything up on a sweet note, and then manages to jam in an absolutely awesome throwback to the original film AND offer up the possibility of future sequels to the game.
-
Aug 14, 2011For fans of the films, you can hardly go wrong with the Back to the Future adventure games. If you've already bought the first, then you know the kind of quality you're in for. If you've waited to see if the entire series holds together, well, it does. Either way, it still holds up, and if you want to play through it all in one go, now's the time.

PC Games (Russia)Jul 21, 2011Outatime closes the season with a bang – it has everything we ever wanted from the series, and even more – it has Michael J. Fox's voiceover. [August 2011, p.108]
-
Jun 30, 2011Back to the Future ends on a high note, yet still remains a game for the series fan and not for the hardcore adventure gamer.
-
Jun 27, 2011Telltale managed to tell a story that fits into the movies without losing charme or balance. The puzzles might have been a bit too easy but if you like the movies or adventure games, you have to play this series.
-
Jun 24, 2011The best episode of the bunch, OUTATIME provides some great closure to the series and a great final adventure with Marty and Doc.
-
PC GamerAug 11, 2011OUTATIME corrects many of the past four episodes' weaknesses with plentiful locations, a strong script, and a fulfilling conclusion to what has been an upsettingly lackluster series. [Oct 2011, p.77]
-
Aug 9, 2011A good effort by Telltale, able to cover both hardcore and casual players, making Back to the Future a perfect game for newcomers to the adventure genre.
-
Jul 7, 2011OUTATIME is definitely the best episode of Back to the Future. Thanks to a very successful storyline, the game gains in quality and fun.
-
Jul 1, 2011Well, it's a good game, at times even great, but it functions better as Back to the Future: Part Four than as an adventure game.
-
Jun 29, 2011Outatime is also significant as it is the first entry in which Michael J. Fox joins the cast, jumping into the role of one of Marty's ancestors. While I found Fox's involvement exciting, the actor's character seemed out of place during these sequences (as if the role was written late just so Telltale could slide him in), and Fox himself uses a goofy southern accent that does little to disguise his aging voice. It's sad, but the most authentic sounding McFly in the game is a Michael J. Fox impersonator.
-
Jun 24, 2011It's funny, it clever, and it answers a lot of questions I had. I enjoyed playing it, but I didn't love it. The story isn't as grounded as I'd like it to be at certain points, so it throws the balance of sincere/goofy off. I wanted the conclusion of the serious movie feelings episode one started, but I got the comical ending of a Saturday morning cartoon.
-
Jun 27, 2011This game isn't very much fun to play, but the storyline is a joy to watch.
-
Jul 7, 2011Overall, Back to the Future has meant several steps behind what Telltale has managed to show in the past with other projects. Funny at times, but really easy and very linear.
-
Jul 1, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
