    This game is really bad.

    The story is ridiculous, the characters have absolutely zero personality, the dialogues are very bad (including the farting jokes). I also think that a lot of their sentences are often the same at the same moment. Presumably to explain what you will have to do, even if it fails do to that most of the time. For example, why do the military does not trust the cleaners, which is what he says at the beginning of Act 2 I think (he was very clear about the fact they they should earn his trust), I don't know (and I don't care).

    The objectives are not interesting,and the same objectives are reused several times in the game, and they are not well explained. They are also bugged, i encountered a game breaking bug in Act 2 when I destroyed the three nests which blocked the progression, including the final bug one, but the game considered that I only destroyed one. Restarting the level did not fix this, I thing I should have quit and restarted the game.

    The objectives are also often totally disconnected from the flow of the game, leading to the player have absolutely zero engagement to do them (except that he must, or he can not continue the level). The characters are 100% engaged, but not the player.

    The Director seems to still be bugged since the Beta. And his way to give challenge is to put several specials of the same type (and make them much more resistant to bullets). Their only tactics is to go to the players in a straight line (from afar if its outside).

    There are a LOT of invisible walls everywhere, some of them are of a special type which don't prevent to cross this invisible line but lead to the immediate death of the player.    … Expand

    Trashy and completely unneeded title made for the Gen Z kids:
    - Poor boring story
    - Dated graphics
    - Unbalanced difficulty
    - Horrible AI
    - very poor Solo experience
    - Inferior copy of Left 4 dead

    This game was pretty good when it first came out and it deserves a 7 point but after the bugs, lags and stupid updates. Trash update in November create so fk much bugs and errors like Breaker not appear but its effects still appear, and it appears in crazy places. This game should be thrown in the trash after it get update

    Jugabilidad horrible, disparos sin sentido no es el recoil, no es el Sprite de cada arma, las balas hacen lo que les da la gana. La nivelación de dificultad es ridícula ya que en modo fácil no existen enemigos, no hay daño y básicamente los zombies se mueren de tan solo mirarlos, pasas a la siguiente dificultad y es una pesadilla, mueres y mueres y nadie pasa de los primeros 2 mapas, esJugabilidad horrible, disparos sin sentido no es el recoil, no es el Sprite de cada arma, las balas hacen lo que les da la gana.     Плохая оптимизация. То ли фризы или лаги. Система загружена на 75% а играть не возможно. Стреляешь на угад. Одно и тоже что ты ставишь графику на всю что на минимум одинаково. Знал бы то не купил бы. Игра так на любителя.

    it's fun if you have friends to play with but for me who want single player mode, just skip it bots on cleaner sided are too dumb and feel frustrate to play with.

    Having to restart the campaign from the beginning if you die like a rogue lite should be a separate game mod.
    No mods support
    Duo in Normal (=veteran) impossible.
    Very little ammo, feels like I'm playing Vermintide 2.

    I'd be lying if I didn't say I had fun with this game, it does a serviceable job at modernizing the Left 4 Dead formula, but lacks all the detail and heart that Valve put into Left 4 Dead. The cards, grind-game and balancing of this game are all over the place and highly inconsistent.

    I expected 8v8 multiplayer to be like left 4 dead. Instead you survive in an arena and take turns beating the times? Where is the safe houses survival levels like left 4 dead? Arenas will be stale in a month this game will be dead.

    Announce a new game mode asap!

    Instead of spending $60 on this game like a cheap copy of Left 4 Dead, you can get L4D2 for $11. Also, once you finish the game, you have no reason to return.

    This is pretty much Evolve 3.0 (same developer). Quick cash grab, aggressive monetization for an AAA-priced game, always online for offline play? no progression for single player, no mod supports. I would not support such a developer in a time where there are many other great coop shooters out there.

    There is so many of these Service Based, Pay or Grind games now..All the things the gaming consumer railed against has come to pass ..And now modern gaming is these souless micro transaction filled grindfests, like Back for blood..
    Movement and combat is identical to every other FPS Since 2014 and the rest is Left for Dead , pay to win..

    Played HALF the campaign on day one only to be met on day 2 with the amazing feature that got rid of EVERYTHING! Yes, EVERYTHING! :D Every single Card...Weapon...Supply Line purchase...and ALL my in-game currency! :D If that sounds like something you would enjoy I HIGHLY recommend this game! :)

    1. Terrible spawn rates / places, RNG. 2. Terrible difficulty balanced. 3. It is impossible to play this game on veteran without 3-4 friends. 4.     6. All the hardwork of developers means nothing because they didn't recruit enough game testers and test all the cases.

    Just to save you money go play l4d if you want to shoot hordes of zombies. Or get the game pass ultimate for 1$ and try this out, although I wouldn't say it's even worth the hassle.

    Don't works very well at Xbox, it's hard to even pick upp things even if you look at what you want to pick up... Like ammo, items, weapons and stuff. You have to aim around until it says press a to pick up even... It's total **** and the aim around also fells off.

    And the game itself is total trash, like the infects that is stuck at walls and jump upon you when you are walking pass.    Don't works very well at Xbox, it's hard to even pick upp things even if you look at what you want to pick up... Like ammo, items, weapons and stuff. You have to aim around until it says press a to pick up even... It's total **** and the aim around also fells off.

    The good things:

    -some of the guns are really fun to use -a few of the characters are cool -the graphics are solid everything else either a.) isn't finished b.) is lackluster to all hell c.) the biggest problem is this game has been done MULTIPLE times before. People will stop playing this 2 weeks after launch because there's better games that do essentially the same thing AND    The good things:

    People will stop playing this 2 weeks after launch because there's better games that do essentially the same thing AND for LESS than 60 dollars (Killing Floor 2 for example).

    I'll give it a 5 because it's made by the same people that created Left 4 Dead...but if you're REALLY spending 60 dollars on this...I HIGHLY suggest trying gamepass and make a mental note to cancel 29 days later (or 89-90 if they're sitll doing the 1 dollar for 3 months deal)    … Expand

    The bots are horrendous. They are less than useless, they're a hindrance. Based on the developers other moves to force users into multiplayer, I wouldn't be surprised if the terrible bots were intentional.

    Here's the thing: sometimes my friends and I can't be on at the same time. I don't want to have ransoms on my team that just rush through the map because they've played it before.     Literally braindead game direction. They need to be bought out by somebody who has any idea of what game balance and fun is. Genuinely, they should reconsider being a company, and just, I don't know, maybe shut down now.

    Just a Generic bad coop shooter and not really left 4 dead 3 as most of us expected ! Characters are forgetable, story is... there... but... yeah its there but not there. To keep going you need to have friends to play with or you'll spend 30 minutes waiting for a game and have 4 bot instead. The shooting is clunky and non responsive on ps4 which make you speedrun the game only withJust a Generic bad coop shooter and not really left 4 dead 3 as most of us expected !     I wish send positive reviews but cant in order of lots of problems.

    1) Worst part is collision and damage registration. AI can kill you through walls or over visible range. You cant predict wich attack hit you by mesh or by invisible force field. 2) AI spawn everywhere, closed isolated room cleared before not a problem for spawn new hord. AI can spawn over you head from skys or under    I wish send positive reviews but cant in order of lots of problems.

    3) Fire and Acide zombies what is it?

    4) Lobby with only 1 or 2 persons is ok?

    5) Tighten UX/UI because of long animations and routine actions. Really i need notice on my starting cards and ect? Cant auto skip intro on each run starts?

    This game can be good but i cant enjoy this while lots of problems still here.    … Expand

    Back 4 Blood is one of those games that you don’t have to particularly worry about grinding, which is incredibly refreshing. Between grinding for in-game currency for dungeon gear in FFXIV, and trying to level up my weapons in Dauntless, it’s nice to have a game I can jump back into with my friends at any point in time and just play. It’s fast-paced, creative, and just all-around good fun. What’s not to love? The game has been out for a while, but that just means that the developers have had more time to listen to feedback and start fixing some of those bugs that have been bothering players.

    Along the way, many mutated creatures cross your path. These include not only the classic slow undead, but whole hordes of super-fast and agile, bloodthirsty zombies - called ridden in the game - to gigantic monstrosities that can send you to oblivion with a single punch. Those nine different types of opponents provide enough variety in the challenges to keep the game engaging for hours.

    One step forward, two steps back, couple steps to the side with some awkward shuffling thrown in-between – that’s how Back 4 Blood feels compared to Left 4 Dead. Card-based power-up system is the only interesting thing about it. [Issue#256, p.40]
