    It is hard to believe the same people , or at least some of them were involved with the amazing Left 4 Dead franchise. Left 4 Dead is often called 'Ahead of its time'

    Well Back 4 Blood feels a decade too late , its an unpolished mess that shows very little signs of thought and love put into the game.

    Its a damn shame. You are better off replaying Left 4 Dead instead.

    The bots are horrendous. They are less than useless, they're a hindrance. Based on the developers other moves to force users into multiplayer, I wouldn't be surprised if the terrible bots were intentional.

    Here's the thing: sometimes my friends and I can't be on at the same time. I don't want to have ransoms on my team that just rush through the map because they've played it before.     Dont buy the game at least right now. Media is overhyped by l4D nostalgia. Controls are not good with a controller. There is no dismemberment. I dont get why press did not notice the zombie physics and gore are just bad and outdated in this game. and this should be a top priority. There is just no satisfaction in killing zombies after a few hours...

    I've been so upset with WB for over advertising this game and not putting any money into LEGO Star wars: The Skywalker saga, and I told people this game was completely over hyped/advertised and I was right, this game is boring and doesn't have the charm of L4D2, it's really ironic that they favored this game so much over star wars and this game turned out to not be good.

    I was hoping for much, much more. I feel that the creators had the idea of "if it aint broke, dont fix it". But with that mentality why even make the game. The only new "cool" thing was the perks or cards or whatever. You sometimes dont even notice them and just feel like that you got them on just to have them on. Switching from the recruit difficulty to veteran is like going from 1st grade math to Nasa rocket science. And it isnt about "gitin gud" its genuanly **** horrible. There is also 0 amount of mod support, In left 4 dead 2 you could add several mods but in this new very hyped up game there is no mod support. The game is just super mediocre and lacks any creativity and the characters are so unlikeable. All of them deliver cheesy one-liners and just seem to happy to be fighting zombies. The zombie spawn placement is even worse than the original left 4 dead. Its possible for a massive **** monster to come up right behind you and beat the **** out of you without even being warned.

    A very average title, we tried a little of the campaign but found it so mind numbingly boring we didn't continue, so the majority of my play time is in the PvP mode. It's fun, but its got issues, mainly the fact that you maybe only get 1 in 30 games where at least one person doesn't quit (not an exaggeration), There's also no progression if you're only interested in PvP, only someA very average title, we tried a little of the campaign but found it so mind numbingly boring we didn't continue, so the majority of my play time is in the PvP mode.     Back 4 Blood is horrible simply put. It is a worse version of left 4 dead in every aspect. Turtle rock isnt the same when Valve isnt over them.

I'm really sorry but there is no balance , like at ALL, AI is sucking the greatest PP you can imagine like there is a window with broken glass in chapter three ( don't remember exact lol ) and bots are trying to jump in it and stuck there . But not everything is bad . There is good shooting , weapons feel really nice . Can say nothing about story . GG… Expand

    ove the concept of rogue-like style, has a card to choose your style of play.
    but it is all good things.
    Game is too short, if you play with AI, it's terrible, they cannot help you when you need help.
    I can't believe I can make through this.

    There is so many of these Service Based, Pay or Grind games now..All the things the gaming consumer railed against has come to pass ..And now modern gaming is these souless micro transaction filled grindfests, like Back for blood..
    Movement and combat is identical to every other FPS Since 2014 and the rest is Left for Dead , pay to win..

    It's just not fun. Left 4 Dead had pacing and tension, this is just overlong and rather bland. Whatever key people that made Left 4 dead great seem to no longer work for this studio. Don't even try unless you have 3 others to play with, randoms and bots are mostly just awfull.

    Boring story, No currency gain or true progress in offline, not everyone wants to play with others to gain in game currency.
    Character design was god awful, the card system is terrible this wasn't supposed to be like a worse star wars battlefront card system.

    Graphics are fine, game runs fine, seems to have enough depth, controls feel fine. But the game is just not fun to play. Obviously this is pretty subjective, but I just do not enjoy it and I love shooters and play a lot of these style of games in coop with my friends. I want to say the problem is the zombies are too fast and spawn everywhere    Bottom line for me is gameplay is not fun.

    the name sounds like a Chinese fake left4dead. cheap replacement models with the intention of getting money out of players' pockets. A game that brings nothing but frustrated players to the gaming industry.

    Плохая оптимизация. То ли фризы или лаги. Система загружена на 75% а играть не возможно. Стреляешь на угад. Одно и тоже что ты ставишь графику на всю что на минимум одинаково. Знал бы то не купил бы. Игра так на любителя.

    The story is ridiculous, the characters have absolutely zero personality, the dialogues are very bad (including the farting jokes).     The objectives are not interesting,and the same objectives are reused several times in the game, and they are not well explained. They are also bugged, i encountered a game breaking bug in Act 2 when I destroyed the three nests which blocked the progression, including the final bug one, but the game considered that I only destroyed one. Restarting the level did not fix this, I thing I should have quit and restarted the game.

    The objectives are also often totally disconnected from the flow of the game, leading to the player have absolutely zero engagement to do them (except that he must, or he can not continue the level). The characters are 100% engaged, but not the player.

    The Director seems to still be bugged since the Beta. And his way to give challenge is to put several specials of the same type (and make them much more resistant to bullets). Their only tactics is to go to the players in a straight line (from afar if its outside).

    I expected 8v8 multiplayer to be like left 4 dead. Instead you survive in an arena and take turns beating the times? Where is the safe houses survival levels like left 4 dead? Arenas will be stale in a month this game will be dead.

    Announce a new game mode asap!

    The gunplay is kinda nice. But the tasks and quests are mostly uncreative, uninspired, repetitive and boring. The map design is okay, but there is not enough different sceneries. The different colors alone, different structure of the maps as well and in general way more maps and levels.

    I'm really not a fan of the card system. Was it really needed? Does it really make the game more interesting? Couldn't they add complexity any other way? It's also not balanced and way too much randomness in my opinion. And you should be able to customise your weapons freely.

    Left 4 Dead was just fun. Start and instantly play. No problems. But Back 4 Blood adds unnecessary grind that only adds some faux depth like in Age of Empires 3. Nobody liked the cards in AOE3, since it was stupid. It's stupid here as well.

    And the cutscenes are annoying. Stop trying to create movie snippets to tell a story. Don't be lazy. Tell a story with the unique and inherent tools of the medium. Storytelling is highly appreciated, but f*** cutscenes! They add nothing to the medium. In movies there is a rule: "Show don't tell!! In games you could translate it to: "Let the player engage through interactivity, don't show". Let players participate in the story. Don't force them to be passive spectators!    … Expand

    Back 4 Blood is one of those games that you don’t have to particularly worry about grinding, which is incredibly refreshing. Between grinding for in-game currency for dungeon gear in FFXIV, and trying to level up my weapons in Dauntless, it’s nice to have a game I can jump back into with my friends at any point in time and just play. It’s fast-paced, creative, and just all-around good fun. What’s not to love? The game has been out for a while, but that just means that the developers have had more time to listen to feedback and start fixing some of those bugs that have been bothering players.

    Along the way, many mutated creatures cross your path. These include not only the classic slow undead, but whole hordes of super-fast and agile, bloodthirsty zombies - called ridden in the game - to gigantic monstrosities that can send you to oblivion with a single punch. Those nine different types of opponents provide enough variety in the challenges to keep the game engaging for hours.

    One step forward, two steps back, couple steps to the side with some awkward shuffling thrown in-between – that’s how Back 4 Blood feels compared to Left 4 Dead. Card-based power-up system is the only interesting thing about it. [Issue#256, p.40]
