    Atomic Heart's Annihilation Instinct is the first DLC for Atomic Heart. For its price of just under $5, they give access to the new location and the plot chapter in a few hours. Of the pluses - the canon took the correct ending for refusing to kill Sechenov. And DLC is dedicated to one of the most interesting characters of repair cabinets in the gaming industry. Well, the goose in theAtomic Heart's Annihilation Instinct is the first DLC for Atomic Heart. For its price of just under $5, they give access to the new location and the plot chapter in a few hours. Of the pluses - the canon took the correct ending for refusing to kill Sechenov. And DLC is dedicated to one of the most interesting characters of repair cabinets in the gaming industry. Well, the goose in the voice of "Cube in a Cube," it's great. A large number of references and Easter eggs that will be understood only to Russians. Among the disadvantages, we can highlight the lack of any puzzles other than the finnal one. Absence of at least 1 polygon (although it was originally). The story told in the DLC does not develop the history of the main game. Well, the bosses seemed boring to me. For $5, it's not bad, but I hope it's just a pen test and then Mundfish will make a more serious DLC.… Expand

    I highly enjoyed the base game, but this ain't it.

    Only 2 new enemy types, 1 new boss and 2 new weapons. Not even most of the old enemies return. The entire first hour of this 2 hour-long DLC is just you fighting against the same one new enemy type over and over again. And the only truely new environment they introduce, with the floaty bridges, which is kind of cool, doesn't even get    I highly enjoyed the base game, but this ain't it.

    The entire first hour of this 2 hour-long DLC is just you fighting against the same one new enemy type over and over again. And the only truely new environment they introduce, with the floaty bridges, which is kind of cool, doesn't even get used for gameplay purpose, but is only there as an exposition dump while moving through it.

    I wouldn't mind this being only 2 hours long if those were entertaining 2 hours. But it isn't even good from a gameplay perspective. The new weapons are kind of cool and fun to use, but the new enemies are pretty annoying and kind of cringe. They aren't low key creepy anymore like the old ones, they are just dorky with overly cute movement animations, and they make annoying beeping sounds while moving, almost like straight out of a Disney movie.

    Oh, and the story and voice acting are just as annoying as in the main game, which I at first didn't think was possible with Charles gone.

    I'm still a huge fan of this new franchise and hope Atomic Heart 2 will be better than this DLC.
    Really hope they take the criticisms of Atomic Heart to heart and make the voice acting less intrusive and annoying, fine-tune the parkour movement, and fix you constantly getting stuck inside the environment.    … Expand

    Спустя всего 5 месяцев после релиза основной игры мы получаем первое из аж 4 обещанных дополненией, которое, судя по моему ощущению, уже не получает и толики былого хайпа, такими темпами к последнему аддону хайп "истребится" практически полностью, это всё неважно, конечно, но "Инстинкт Истребления" оказался настолько геймплейно несбалансированным, раздражающим, ненужным, и, как-будтоСпустя всего 5 месяцев после релиза основной игры мы получаем первое из аж 4 обещанных дополненией, которое, судя по моему ощущению, уже не получает и толики былого хайпа, такими темпами к последнему аддону хайп "истребится" практически полностью, это всё неважно, конечно, но "Инстинкт Истребления" оказался настолько геймплейно несбалансированным, раздражающим, ненужным, и, как-будто вымученным, что мне особо нечего про него сказать, дело в том, что длс делает всё, чтобы мы его выключили, при этом не давая причин в него изначально зайти, ладно, давайте разберём его по косточкам,
    Все по стандартной схеме AAA-аддончика, примерно та же сюжетная конструкция - реши задачи под руководством учёного, чтобы добраться до "ядра" противника, в конце босс файт, 2 новые пушки - ручная и автоматическая, одна из которых представляет из себя банальный пулемёт с дополнительным выстрелом, отсылающим на Дид Спейс, но не производящим нужного эффекта, а второе - это просто лопата, которой мы дерёмся, как Джеки Чан, крутя её на 360 градусов, также есть доп. способность, очень.. очень свежая - замедление времени! Вы же никогда такого не видели? Ой, то есть - техностазис, ну и ещё 1 новая граната,
    по контенту 1 малюсенькая полу-открытая деревушка, 1 бункер, красивое быстрое перемещение между ними, вот и всё.
    Это тот же Атомик, с парой ностольгических песен, горой графоманского лора, стреляющий всевозможными отсылками, и даже больше - теперь он пихает настоящую рекламу вам в лицо за ваши же деньги, в 1 моменте нас буквально заставляют ждать, пока собеседник прожуёт шоколадку, которую рекламирует игра, и, ещё скажет "ох какая же она вкусная" или типо того, вся штука в том, что всё остальное сделано максимально неправильно,

    The game is still well optimized and beautiful. Story takes place after the original game (you might be surprised what ending was chosen as canon) and brings you to a different place at facility 3826. Plot is straight forward and this DLC is rather short but if you poke around you'll find many interesting details about the place along with cultural references. Gameplay is kinda rough -The game is still well optimized and beautiful. Gameplay is kinda rough - despite lack of open world you left without a guidance on you way to your goal. Pace of storytelling and players' progress is uneven, I think there're kinda big difficulty spikes at arenas and boss fights (you might not notice that at lower difficulty levels). Music is not as well placed and transitions from one track to another could be better but large fights still rock. Media broadcasts are lacking both in quantity and ways they are triggered to start from the very beginning EVERY TIME player comes near it. Goose is awesome.
    This DLC is good but have much to be desired. 6/10. My score is based on fact that I'm ethnical Russian, your experience may vary.
    PS: I miss spacial puzzles, I really liked those.

    Короткое продолжение оригинальной истории, раскрывающее сюжетные особенности и рассказывающее о мире и предприятии 3826. Оптимизация по прежнему на высоте, окружающий мир интересен и полон диталей, новые интересные отсылки. А вот геймплей не так хорош, как был в оригинальной игре - коридоры, сильно разнящийся темп повествования и прогресса в игре, большие перепады сложности на локациях и аренах, несбалансированное музыкальное сопровождение и прочие огрехи (малое колличество видео материалов для трансляций и их запуск с начала при приближении персонажа). Куда-то пропали пространственные головоломки. Гусь, конечно, великолепен. 6/10    … Expand

    Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct features fun action-driven gameplay on the level of the main game and some seriously clumsy plot points. It remains to be seen how well the DLC can serve as the launch point for further additions.

    Annihilation Instinct leaves behind the not-so-great open world elements from from the main campaign. And yet the DLC doesn't really fix any of the other shortcomings the game had.
