Tremendous value for money.
-
It definitely deserves a place on your game shelf, if not for the sheer gameplay, at the very least for the history it documents.
-
The perfect arcade classic package for hardcore retro gamers, parents looking for something simpler and less disturbing for kids and, of course, thirty-somethings looking to recapture a little of their past glory.
-
Even though I had a blast browsing through all the game had to offer I found that it was basically a re-release of the "Atari Hits Volume 1 and 2."

The biggest problem with this collection is the interface. How did we play these games back in the day? Dials, trackballs, joysticks, and those arcade micro-switch buttons with that distinctive 'click'. -
The ports are nearly arcade-perfect for the most part, though a few of the games suffer from control issues. Still, at a retail price of less than $20, AAE can be worthwhile if you're feeling nostalgic.
