I am a huge fan of Asterix and the old coin op arcade game, and I was looking forward for this.
Unfortunately, I refunded it almost immediately. I'm very disappointed.
It looks good (although the animations have that "animated with Flash" feeling that reminds of mobile games), but that's it. It's riddled by tons of problems - Can't change the keybinds. Oh god. Awful. Awful. Awfully

    - Can't change the keybinds. Oh god. Awful. Awful. Awfully disrespectful of your PC customers. This is not tolerable.
    - no subtitles in cutscenes and no option to change the language whatsoever (english is not my primary language)
    - NO OPTIONS AT ALL. None whatsoever. Resolution? No. Keybinds? No. FPS lock? No. Audio? No. NOTHING.

    What a disaster.

If you’re a fan of the Gaulish duo, you’ll love it. If not, – it’s a very basic beat ‘em up with typical problems like poor hit registration and no functional difference between playable characters. [Issue#259, p.51]

It‘s repetitive, the bosses are bland and that there isn’t an option to play online with friends is a missed opportunity. Overall, though, the charming atmosphere which captures the essence of Asterix & Obelix quite well compensates for are lot of these annoyances. Also, it’s just a lot of fun to beat up Romans.
