    A game that i was afraid to play because i love ezio's trilogy. The game surprised me a lot and i wasn't expecting this kind of quality from Ubisoft.

    It may not be an Assassin's Creed title formula, but it is a great game still

    This game insults the history of Greece, which is ironic when we see historical accuracy in Assassin's Creed Origins and of course, we don't have diversity because it's Africa. When you wanted white culture to be diverse you made it unrealistically diverse. Why should I fight my people with a 'hero' from another country? no thanks.

    badass graphics good gameplay. this is my first modern ac game. i played like 80 hours but enough it tooo long . i played witcher 3 with dlcs like 120 hours but never got bored like that. everytgin is same and repeating. bruh man

    Enjoyed the game since long break from this genre. But it got boring really fast. Cool islands, loved singing while swimming on a boat.

    My opinion about this game is super unpleasant the experience I had playing it, I'm mentally making an effort to finish the game and unlock all the achievements of it.
    - I'm a huge fan of open world games where the game is focused on history and the style is medieval fantasy, but this one managed to surprise me on the negative side and I'm really sorry for the 15 euros    (Opinion General)

    - I'm a huge fan of open world games where the game is focused on history and the style is medieval fantasy, but this one managed to surprise me on the negative side and I'm really sorry for the 15 euros I spent buying it, it's not worth the money they ask for it , I can't understand how anyone likes this type of game, which is a total abomination to the Assassin Creed franchise, I think some people are losing track of what a good game is and what makes it good and graphics are not everything.

    The level of detail, the setting in general of open worlds made by Ubisoft I am referring to more recent games, they are very well crafted and beautiful, in this we have to take our hat off.
    (Cutscenes)
    The cutscenes are also great, they are reproduced at 30fps with excellent quality, I would prefer a thousand times that the game was based on an action movie where you could make your choices. Since the previous model is bad at all levels.

    - Negative points (Bad)
    I love games that contain a suspenseful story, drama and action and this game managed to demolish these concepts in a negative way.

    (Game History, Main Quest and Side Quest)

    (Main Quest)
    The game's story in general is the worst annoyance I've ever experienced in a game, it doesn't have any emotional weight as if the story has no soul and doesn't convey the proper feeling when being told to us players.
    The story is understandable even the main quest is very short the only thing that makes the game time consuming is the absurd size of the entire map because they put you doing a quest 10 thousand km away from where you are.

    (Side Quests)
    The typical let's go there we have nothing to do so let's add more missions for the player to walk backwards doing absolutely nothing. Boring 100%

    (Dialogue and Writing Character)
    What can I say about the game's voice acting, authentic cavemen without any soul in the interpretation of the roles that the characters should have, the expressions of the lines are super out of sync with the non-existent facial expressions on the NPCs.
    Just for that, it takes away all the immersiveness that the game could have and doesn't have, the lines that the characters have when interacting with the main character are bad, it seems to have been written by a 10 year old kid.
    It gets worse when we enter death scenes, reunion with some character from your family that you haven't seen for I don't know how many years and the voice actors are trying to force an emotional and sad scene, but the representation is so mediocre that the characters at a certain point seem like they are laughing.

    (Micro-transactions in a Single Player game)
    Since Asssassin Creed Unity (I think it's this one) had co-op filled the whole game full of micro transactions, it doesn't make any sense.
    Not to mention the cosmetics and accessories they give you in expansions that stay in the inventory and you can't remove it and another reason that takes away the immersiveness and the concept of level progression.
    It shouldn't exist in any game in any expansion to give players "legendary" "ops" or "strong" items and I think it should be more the player's intent to play to get those items that can have a positive impact on combat.
    The horses all pretty, with fire and wings is overkill.

    (Combat and Skills)
    I have to say that I get an aneurysm playing with this game's combat, I can say that I prefer The Witcher's buggy combat a thousand times over Odyssey's combat, there's no fun going around hitting npc's and using mediocre skills.
    - The skills that are available are as simplistic as possible, creativity died at the beginning of the game's production, first Assassin's Creed should be a game focused only on Stealh and not direct combat.

    (Relationships with Characters)
    During the game you will find npc that you can interact lovingly and sexually, of course there was no shortage of a game in the middle of the 20th century where I have to do with LGBT content in the face and where they put several quests from guys asking my character if they want to do bad actions in bed, Of course I was happy to refuse all proposals and kill the npc.

    Worry about making games in conditions than worrying about adding relationships, failed attempts at sexual interactions with the character like fornicating with old women and the opposite sex to sympathize with a portion of the target audience I'm surprised they didn't put them fornicating with animals. .. Baldur Gate already did it let's see what will happen in the next game.    … Expand

    Unlike other people i really liked the change of the gameplay and the style of game but the annoying part about the games is the level system you just need to grind for the levels.

The game holds a special place as my first RPG, captivating me in 2019 with its enchanting world and a plethora of awe-inspiring armor and weapons. The stunning graphics were a treat for the eyes, immersing me in a world that felt almost tangible. The initial playthrough, followed by a second, were both delightful and enthralling experiences. The two DLCs were particularly noteworthy, one delving into the mystical realm of Greek Gods and the other reconnecting with the franchise's roots through the Assassin DLC.

    However, I can't ignore some of the game's shortcomings. The vast world, while awe-inspiring, could also be overwhelming at times. The numerous side quests often felt inconsequential, akin to the island boys in 2024. Despite these minor drawbacks, Assassin's Creed Odyssey remains a commendable game, especially recommended for those new to gaming.    … Expand

    I have never played a game as boring as AC Odyssey. While the game is fun, it's just way to stretched out. 95 percent is just traveling. Finished a quest? Nice! Now go and talk to 3 more people that are far away from fast travel points. I'm 50 hours in and I just can't be bothered to finish the Atlantis DLC because it's so unbelievably boooring.

    Great game. Really exciting at first. However, after few a hours it becomes monotonous and repetitive. It's fantastic how they've put historical characters into the game. Great world to explore, and interesting story to be a part of.

Про сюжет много сказать не могу, ибо будут спойлеры, скажу лишь то, что персонажи и некоторые миссии действительно ставят игрока перед выбором, некоторые персонажи вызывают сопереживания. Единственный минус игры, который я нашёл - перебор с гриндом. Гринда в игре действительно очень и очень много, и речь не столько о корабле который нужно прокачивать, не о навыках персонажа, даже уровни коих в игре 99 особо вопросов и затруднений не вызывают, я говорю и дополнительных навыках которые открываются после достижения 50 уровня. У каждого дополнительного навыка есть стадия прокачки состоящая из 20 очков необходимых для полной прокачки навыка. Их в игре настолько много, что понадобится около 1000 очков опыта, на низкой сложности полная прокачка всех дополнительных навыков может вызвать дисбаланс. Радует, что дополнительные навыки к прокачке не обязательны, но всё же.… Expand

    it looks great but the action and dialogue is just bad. You can almost feel like you are talking to a robot but coincidentally, you are the robot as well. Very silly game and not worth spending time on if you actually want to play a video game and not just a lifeless boredom simulator,,, As for how Ubisoft can improve on this game, valhalla certainly isnt the    i think i hate this game

    At the same time, the game is very graphically intense and deep. I really liked the greek architecture and culture, it was magical to feel that as i am very interested in greek mythos and culture so this assassins creed time period is really great as it speaks to the nerd in me haha.     I enjoyed this game very much, I really like the combat in this game, Graphics wise it is AMAZING to view and there is so much going on in the world, village people doing daily chores. The weapon and armor Build system is complex but ounce you work it out is very rewarding. Some quests are repetitive and can get boring but overall this is a great game.

    This is amazing game. Graphics are so good and main quests are funny, some side quests are also too.
    The game combat mechanics and charcther skills are so good.Also boss fights too. I felt myself inside Greek world. If you like open world rpg games, i recomended this game.

    Dear Ubisoft, I've played this game for exactly 120 hours and in a few hours I will have finished everything in the game. Yes, I loved it, but please make your commercial policies in the games a bit more player-friendly. Don't make a service game either. It is clear that this will not be a good system. I hope you will make an effort to make beautiful and meaningful games. Good game to everyone.

    Well in comparisons ive played thorugh the game and can have a FULL review of the game!

    lets start with combat system. you as a player have to dodge and parry and also kill your opponent (IF beeing seen) There is 3 diffrent animation of the swings. also you have 5 diffrent variation of weponds to use to you liking.     you do level by clearing quest and if you want to level even more you can go to diffrent camps and kill off as many npcs as possible.

    In my own opinion and or you that enjoys as long and intresting RPG game this is one of the best.

    If you want a auto parry hack and slash/ stealth game go onto the older titles of assassin's creed!

    From me this game gets a 10/10 and i would really recommend this game to eveyone that wants a game to play    … Expand

    Main story missions suggest a certain level you should be on, but reward you with way too little XP when you complete them. This leads to side missions pretty much being mandatory. And they suck.     The story itself was pretty mid, but it was just interesting enough to make me do all the side stuff in order to level up.

    The best Assassin's Creed game I have played to date. And I have played AC 1, 4, Rogue, and Origins. It is so addicting that I cannot stop playing this game. I am currently 60 hours in and at level 50 but I haven't even completed 60 percent of the main story, the side quests are so good that I just want to keep exploring and keep playing it. One of the best games by Ubisoft.

    Update:    The best Assassin's Creed game I have played to date. And I have played AC 1, 4, Rogue, and Origins. It is so addicting that I cannot stop playing this game.     The main and most side missions are great. The world is quite interesting to explore but the side objectives lacking a few 'bosses' are boring. I'd put it at 8.5 but just because of the great main missions will rate it as 9 on this website.

    Mit Assassin's Creed Odyssey hat man eine Menge Spaß, die Hauptstory ist gut und die weiteren Odyssey Questreihen sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Den Kult komplett zu besiegen gibt noch weitere Einblicke und schließt vorhandene Lücken, also etwas extra Story und tolle Szenen. Die DLC´s kann ich ebenfalls empfehlen, vor allem den Atlantis DLC, der knüpft an die Endszene von der Storyreihe desMit Assassin's Creed Odyssey hat man eine Menge Spaß, die Hauptstory ist gut und die weiteren Odyssey Questreihen sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Den Kult komplett zu besiegen gibt noch weitere Einblicke und schließt vorhandene Lücken, also etwas extra Story und tolle Szenen. Die DLC´s kann ich ebenfalls empfehlen, vor allem den Atlantis DLC, der knüpft an die Endszene von der Storyreihe des Kults an, also unbedingt vorher komplett besiegen!

    RPG-mäßig richtig gut umgesetzt, viele schöne Dialoge und Entscheidungen, die Stimmen sind 1A und Kassandra ist ein wahnsinnig toller Charakter, ich hab mit ihr fast 180 Stunden lang erkundet. Jedes Fragezeichen auf der Map habe ich jetzt nicht aufgedeckt, außer von allen Inseln, die sind klein und fein. In erster Linie habe ich das gemacht, weil sie immer eine eigene Atmosphäre haben die sich stärker vom Festland unterscheiden als das Festland von Ort zu Ort selbst. Das Festland sieht ja größtenteils gleich aus, entweder Stadt, bergig oder Wald, aber auch da gibt es genügend Unterschiede nur nicht so viele das ich jeden cm davon gesehen haben muss und das muss auch nicht so sein.

    Ich habe alle Haupt-, Neben-, Welt- und Charaktere-, Kopfgeld- und Aufträgsquests die man als Marker auf der Open World oder im Verlauf durch Ortsentdeckung bekommt inkl. 20 von Nachrichtentafeln.
    Die Questreihen sind wie in fast jedem Spiel am genialsten, einfach spitze gemacht.

    Das einzige Contra am Spiel: Sokrates! Ich kann ihn einfach nicht leiden, er ging mir so auf den Sack!
    Und Siegel sammeln, zwei Deppen die dich dauernd mit einer Quest losschicken 3 Polemachen zu legen und sie zu looten um deren Siegel als Beweis zu erhalten, dann kehrst du zurück, gibst die Quest ab und er gibt dir mit 10% neuen und oder erweitertem Text dieselbe Quest etliche Mal erneut, bis es irgendwann heißt "Ein letztes Mal". Dauernd wiederholende Quests die bis Abschluss einfach nicht verschwinden sind echt ka-cke und gehören wenn überhaupt auf die Nachrichtentafel!    … Expand

    I don't like Assassin's Creed games. I love this game. This game has such charm. The characters are interesting and compelling. The gameplay is simple and straightforward, with added depth of upgrading your gear, but it all seems to naturally fit within the world. I tried Origins and Valhalla, but those don't seem to capture my imagination quite the same. I came back to this one becauseI don't like Assassin's Creed games. I love this game. This game has such charm. The characters are interesting and compelling. The gameplay is simple and straightforward, with added depth of upgrading your gear, but it all seems to naturally fit within the world. I tried Origins and Valhalla, but those don't seem to capture my imagination quite the same. I came back to this one because Kassandra is awesome. I also love learning about ancient Greece. This just feels like an action RPG and not so much an assassin's creed game...

    Assassin's Creed Odyssey is way different from AC games(I didn't play Origins yet.), it has a skill tree and level system which I love. I think this is a good game, but it's not an AC game.

    -Terrible climbing controls. (not that terrible as first games.)

    IMO the best AC ever made (as of 2022). RTX3080 was stunning and smooth, with a story that concludes in a much more enjoyable way than that of AC Origins

It really hurts me that Ubisoft games nowadays have so bad stories since I think Watch Dogs 1, Far Cry 3 and 4 and the Original AC games had one of the best games stories of all time. If they wanna make a game about a Greek story why justIt is just another AC, a franchise that should be dead, IMO the story of AC franchise simply never ends just to Ubisoft profits on its name every year. It really hurts me that Ubisoft games nowadays have so bad stories since I think Watch Dogs 1, Far Cry 3 and 4 and the Original AC games had one of the best games stories of all time. If they wanna make a game about a Greek story why just don't they make a brand-new game? It could be about the 300 Spartans against the Persians, but NOOO, they just want to milk their cash cow, Assasins Creed until it is completely dead.

    That said, the game gameplay isn't bad, the stealth is just like any other generic AC, which is a good system. The combat is the most different part, now it has an RPG level system and your character has special skills with cooldown, like a fast thrust that deals massive damage to everyone on the way or a single target skill that thrown down an enemy.

    The open world is immense but empty. The only thing you have to do is just the same Ubisoft useless collectible and get some new weapons and armors for no purpose at all. The sidequests style is a copy of The Witcher 3.    … Expand

    if "meh" was a game, it would be this one. I liked it at first, but when time went on i started to hate it more and more. Now i'm at the point, where i can't even stand hearing about this game. I really hate it. Leveling system is an absolute joke in this game, thank god Valhalla fixed that. Oh and also, this game has NOTHING to do with Assassin's Creed. NOTHING.

    Moim zdaniem ac odyssey jest dobrą grą lecz brakowało w niej czegoś co by nie bardzo zachwyciło lub bardzo zaangażowało w fabułę bohatera. Oczywiście widok np. Akropolu jest oszałamiający lub pływanie statkiem , ale nadal mi czegoś brakuje w tej grze. Dodatkowo maksowanie mapy było mega nurzące. Podczas czyszczenia mapy brakowało mi emocji ..     Hands down, my favorite Assassin's Creed game. It did everything perfect by my standarts. This is game where Ubisoft really tried to make it best out of best. Those who don't like AC Odyssey because of that "Assassin" thing only, you'll never be pleased, if you can't even see quality of this game.

    (-) in my view, the story is too long. Every awesome story "moment" is preceded with 5-10 (boring) quests (most of them follow the principle "kill xy" or "go to the fort, kill everyone and get xy").
    (-) Completing the story takes like forever, 40-50h, it may take even longer if you wish to complete

    Amazing game! In my opinion, much better than "Origins" Kasandra is easily one of the best female protagonist I know. Visually game is beautiful, in terms of story, acting and quest design it's one of the best AC in years. Shame that it's not really a story about assassin's but it's very good anyway. There are a few little floss but they are not worth mentioning. Bigger issues are microAmazing game! The AC series has aways been an interweaving connected overarching narrative. How exactly is this game supposed to fit into a franchise when there isn’t even one canon answer of who these game events even happened to? Was it the brother or the sister? The very idea the player gets to chose the actions of the character undermines and intentionally destroys not only over a decade of lore and world building. In removes all the fun mechanics of trying to relive these memories as accurately as possible to fully “sync” with DNA of the person you are observing. They turned it into a bland dime a dozen RPG. And I have no problem with RPGs or chose your own adventure game, in fact I love them. But Assassin’s creed simply can’t be one by the nature of the established in universe rules.

    I would say this would be a better stand alone RPG if it dropped the Assassin’s Creed title. But honestly even as an RPG it’s lame. Unlikable characters, horribly paced story that’s only vaguely engaging. Copy paste fight mechanics they still manage to make boring or frustrating. Bloated maps and disconnected side quests. No social stealth. Ridiculous leveling system. Nonsensical skill tree. And you have to grind on unrelated side quests before you can even continue the main story. There is no in story reason why these side quests would make you grow as an Assassin.

    You wanna assassinate your father but in order to do that you have to level up. Better help an old woman make a viagra potion! And the knowledge gained from helping that woman gains you a skill point you use gain the ability to…. Call an assassin to assist in fights? You couldn’t figure out how to do that before? There is no logic or flow in leveling. It’s just arbitrary withholding of basic actions you should already have the ability to do.

    I really can’t talk poorly enough about this game. It’s an embarrassment, and it’s sad new/casual gamers consume this garbage. Ubisoft finally realized they don’t have to try that hard cuz gamers will gobble anything up if shill critics praise it. The emperor really does have no clothes.    … Expand

    On top of that, you get a massive, beautiful open world to explore.
    BUT
    The game is kind of boring, the combat is uninspired and barely requires skill or thinking. The story is kind of lame. Still, there was a lot of good content. The mythical boss fights were actually kind of nice.

There is a metric ton of loot and gears that become obsolete very quickly in the game. There are a lot of skills and only a few you will ever use. The nemesis system was copied from the Mordor games but its bogus. The spartan kick is the OP skill and must have, it opens a lot of opportunity in battle from recruiting enemies to throwing them down the cliff. The campaign is quite boring as there are no sequences for killing cult members and they die like any other NPC but the characters and music in the game are on point.

    Tip - Don't kill the bounty hunters or the cult members, instead drain their health and use your fist or the spartan kick for the final blow. When they are unconscious, you can recruit them for your ship's crew which gives you an edge in the naval battles.    … Expand

    The game reminded me of the strategy Zeus: Master of Olympus (in Steam: Zeus + Poseidon), where the gods descended from heaven and sent their monsters to Your city, I had to build a special house for the hero (Perseus, Jason, Odysseus, etc.) for fighting this monster (Cyclops, Minotaur, Talos, etc.). Also in Odyssey you can fight the Minotaur and other monsters.

    CONS: Weapons and Armor do not have a binding of land and territory, for example: In Athens, weapons with a perk to damage the Athenian wars are often found. Add. stats are random even for gold gear and guns.
    Very fast leveling.
    In Nightmare mode, already at level 2, you can buy epic and legendary weapons.
    For example, I bought Blade of Yumminess on Kefalonia Island in ps4 version.

    One of the best Assassin's Creed games I've ever played. (I played 10 previous versions). In my opinion, the story of this version was the most interesting of all, with several historical characters and a fantastic map!

    The graphics are just wonderful! I played with the character Kassandra, the first female character of the series, which for me, was the best and most striking of all!     Lets be honest, the last AC game was Origins. This game is very boring in terms of missions and story and all the rpg elements are just making it even worse. The only good part is it's map, Ubisoft really did make a good job with that its just feels good to explore the ancient Greece cities.

    That said, the game gameplay isn't bad, the stealth is just like any other generic AC, which is a good system. The combat is the most different part, now it has an RPG level system and your character has special skills with cooldown, like a fast thrust that deals massive damage to everyone on the way or a single target skill that thrown down an enemy.

    The open world is immense but empty. The only thing you have to do is just the same Ubisoft useless collectible and get some new weapons and armors for no purpose at all. The sidequests style is a copy of The Witcher 3.    … Expand

Terrible story, terrible voice acting, terrible quest scenerios, everything about this game is just a mess. Everything feels dull, the characters have absolutely no emotions, the facial expressions are 0, mimics 0, reactions 0, the story has 0 impact. Bad, very bad

    This game really did the best to combine the best of the game mechanics of Witcher 3 and Horizon Zero Dawn. All the 3 game styles, assassin, melee, ranged are valid options.
    The Greek world is astonishing, the map is huge, it is good to see people from Greek history.

After the first ~20 levels, I think you have seen everything the game can offer, even it is becoming in a way easier as you start to ramp up skills that are more lethal than the basic levels. For me the bounty hunters appearing cheating in the middle of the fight and follow you to the bush your are hiding into resulted in that most of the money I earned went into clearing the bounties even in the middle of fights.     Just alike any AC game and ubisoft series in general, this game has annually immanent quality of graphics, open world and favourable colorful landscape. This part of the Ubisoft games in undoubtable, and even those with basal scores would confirm it. The problem, however, underlines deep in the whole concept of AC games. The whole stealth, mysterious concept, brotherhood, unity and uniformJust alike any AC game and ubisoft series in general, this game has annually immanent quality of graphics, open world and favourable colorful landscape. This part of the Ubisoft games in undoubtable, and even those with basal scores would confirm it. The problem, however, underlines deep in the whole concept of AC games. The whole stealth, mysterious concept, brotherhood, unity and uniform vision are what made previous parts iconic. Even in Origins, those concepts were far deeper and obvious. This part, however, didn't present any of those things. We see a dark a shadow of what the previous parts were built on. A mercenary that wants to unite with his family and destroy the Cult that is a spoon of tar in that goal, a a hurdle. The plot was, for some moments, pretty captivating, but can we actually call it an AC game?Definetly not. Other than that, the game is extremely long and slow. Some of the missions are typically single-minded and boring, and the plot afterwards gets weird and tedious. The open world, however, as i said previously, is amazing. When Origins first was introduced, it was a breath of fresh air for the series, but the whole Ancient Egypt things didn't seem quite intriguing and sapid. The Ancient Greece is its opposite. Ubisoft did nail to present fascinating depiction of Ancient Greece. Athens, Corinthia..Everything was compelling. Gameplay was pretty average. With new tricks and aptitudes, it did make it less boring and annoying than in Origins, but still far from God of War or Spiderman. Overall, my opinion about this game is pretty mixed and neutral. If you enjoy graphics and open world, i would definetly reccomend it. But if you don't pay much attention to details, then this game is not for you… Expand

    Do not listen to "lore fanboys", or just someone who dislike this game for no reason, Odyssey is really really good!     This game was not fun for me. Even though I started the game over 3 times I could not bring myself to finish the game because it was too boring. The main storyline was not exciting. Side content was extremely repetitive and did not bring anything new at all. I could not feel anything towards the main character. I did not hate him, I did not like him - just nothing.     Juegazo, poco más que se pueda decir ambientación increíble, historia atrapante y ese "looter" que le queda tan bien al juego, está todo lo que te podías esperar de un juego de la antigua Grecia, la gente de Ubisoft cumplió con su trabajo no fueron unos malakas por esta vez.

    The latest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise is truly a wonder and a fresh take on a stale idea. The excellent execution, gameplay and story is only overshadowed by greedy micro transactions, paid XP and awful optimization.

    While AC: Origins was packed with interesting stories, Odyssey is a generic ’Ubisoft sandbox’ in the worst sense, with hundreds of the same-looking places, dozens of ”kill-fetch” quests and almost zero motivation to grind further.
