    This game is absolutely terrible. STUPID BORING missions, boring story, boring main character, worst Assassins Creed and one of the worst games EVER.

    A mismanaged masterpiece. It has a lot of content, not boring content like in Brotherhood or AC 1, but real, authentic, enjoyable content; the hitch is that the game is poorly directed. You go through the main campaign, and the game pushes you from memory to memory, at times teleporting you to the next mission area. They could instead have led the player towards the naval missions, theA mismanaged masterpiece. It has a lot of content, not boring content like in Brotherhood or AC 1, but real, authentic, enjoyable content; the hitch is that the game is poorly directed. You go through the main campaign, and the game pushes you from memory to memory, at times teleporting you to the next mission area. They could instead have led the player towards the naval missions, the Homestead missions, delivery, hunting, assassination, almanac collecting, sight-seeing and the rest of the various things you can do in this game, a game where you can feel, if not the passion, but the effort that has been put into it to make it as believable as possible.

    The game has amazing graphics though it's bugged, amazing writing and characters though the first bit is too far stretched and Connor is misunderstood by players who didn't stick around; in short, after going through AC 1, II, Brotherhood, Revelations, and now III, I must say Assassin's Creed III is my favorite game in the series, something I would not have imagined myself saying back in 2015.

    The story is good, it is from a time we thought the saga would have a deserving end, but nowadays Ubisoft doesn't wanna end the story of its favorite cash cow, even if the story feels bad. So in AC III both the present and past stories were good.

    The combat is just as badass as the MC assassins skills, in a nutshell, if you press the right button at the right time (and the window is large as hell) you are a God, you can dodge every attack, dodge even bullets, counter every attack and kill every guard with a press of a button, you can do that so much that literally, piles of corpse accumulate over the ground if the guards call reinforcements in the streets. It is really a trivial combat system but I can't deny it is fun    … Expand

    One of the least enjoyable experiences I've had in games. This third game felt like it improved nothing to the previous additions and instead felt uninspired and tedious.

    I have played some AC games way back in the day on PS3. This is a free drop from Ubisoft Connect. The fundimental flaw of all AC games is that I am playing a game within a game. Taking a VR trip inside in a characters ancestors memories is kind of immersion breaking. This series would of worked without the sci-fi elements.     Played on PC and thoroughly enjoyed. Great story line that advances the Desmond story further. Also fantastic graphics and recreation of early Boston and New York. The free roaming feature of the franchise is also continued to good effect, and with the added bonus of developing your homestead and now naval missions as well.

    Although it almost reshaped the whole Assassin's Creed series, with it's new game-play and feel. If offered content that was pretty repetitive, if the story was stripped down. Also lacked the charismatic main character. So overall, it was a good and fun game, but definitely had it's obvious faults. Multiplayer was huge in this title, and very polished!

    Now finally a new character, a new story and a complete different setting. That is positive but in comparison to AC and AC2 this game is still worse and could have been way better.

    Assassin's Creed III introduced a lot to the table with hunting, boat sailing and better stealth mechanics. The city areas sometimes feel a bit empty as climbing from roof to roof is more tedious to do now. The gameplay and story were excellent. Connor felt a bit boring sometimes but Haytham was amazing to play.

    AC III was dark with some uncomfortable moments due to the metaphorically negative aura present in the game. The areas to explore were very densely packed and became a frustration because there were constantly obstacles. Trees, rocks, rivers whatever it was there, it was not balanced.
    Story development was mediocre and the protagonist was nowhere near Ezio as a personality.

    One of the few positives to come out of this game was the mechanics that later greatly served the development of AC IV.    … Expand

    Eu joguei Assassin's Creed III quando foi dado de graça na Games With Gold, inclusive assinem o mês por causa desse jogo, enfim, gostei bastante da história, do gameplay, da trilha sonora, da dublagem Brasileira e Americana (joguei com as duas).     Story and combat takes a downside turn and main character is just boring. Combat is arguably the best in series for its time. Main villain is the best thing that came out of this game . Ship sequences are new additions to series.

    This wasn't a bad game, but it doesn't live up to AC2, and nobody should buy it expecting that. The main character is pretty bland throughout the game, along with much of the story, and while some of the combat can be fun, it can get old. The main detriment to this game is probably the pacing of it. It's very hard to persevere when it takes many hours to even get to the actual story.

    My absolute favourite of Assassin's Creed games. Playing as Haytham is a refreshing breath of fresh air, Connor is a deep character, and the historical aspect of it make the game one of my best gaming experiences. Lovely ending of Desmond's story.

    NOW you might think the buggy, glitchy **** through the game is primarily lowering my score, but that is    I know I am a really late voice to this game, but i want to be a voice nonetheless.

    The half assed story and well as the campaign progression is my major problem with this game.
    Starting off with a decently interesting Haytham, we literally come to a glacial crawl from the second memory upto the sixth after which we are given proper open world control with full weapon options.
    After 4 DRAGGING/wasted memory sequences; instead of using these sequences to develop more interesting plots, the aforementioned drag combines with an abrupt rush for Connor's Campaign to climax precisely just when the story gets interesting.

    The only positive is the fantastic ship combat which was such a blast with every new ship mission, it would have been much more interesting to have a good part of the main campaign revolve around more significant naval missions rather than the extensive side mission treatment that it was given.

    There were many positives, not that the game was completely trash, but sadly coupled with a weak story execution, countless annoying bugs and glitches, an understandably stoic, stern, yet sadly one note Connor drop the score significantly for me.

    Looking forward to Black Flag play-through since I really enjoyed the naval combat.    … Expand

    Lo presi gratis dal sito della ubisoft e all ‘inizio pensavo fosse un flop dopo aver letto tutte le critiche fatte e invece devo dire che mi ha stupito molto ,certo non è al livello del 2 che secondo me è un capolavoro però nemmeno essere un gioco con una media da sufficienza regalata .

    Speaking of gammeplay, this game has a very good gameplay, but it has some problems with parkour because sometimes it jumps alone without you having tightened anything

    Most underrated Assassins creed ever. Amazing storyline, beautiful wilderness. Some epic and memorable moments, epic naval battles. Probably my favourite along with Brotherhood. Cant give it 10/10 because of Connor.

    I really liked the game. I especially liked the hunt, and because of this, my passing game was very long. The plot is very interesting, and the ending is sad, but no less cool. I think the series should have ended on this game, because then the game began to roll. I used to be a fan of the series, but after the release of Odyssey I was very disappointed, and now I don’t hope for anything.

    A fun game with an okay story, however it fails to live up to the Ezio trilogy in all aspects, therefore viewed as a disappointment among many players. Combat is clunky, story is okay but rather stop-start and the three-hour prologue was the high point.

    전투시스템은 확실히 3편에서 정점이었던것 같다. 여러 무기를 고유의 개성을 살려서 구현했고 단순히 반격 암살로 쉬웠던 2편의 전투를 완벽하게 탈피했었다. 다만 극을 이끌고 가야되는 스토리텔링이 너무 아쉽다. 이 이후로 스토리가 좋았던 적이 없는듯..

    It was the first AC I ever played and I generally enjoyed myself.
    However it's got loads of bugs and is very easy (I guess the bugs make it somewhat difficult to complete while staying sane?)

    I don't know why people hate it. It had a very interesting storyline with very different Characters inside and offers to play the American Revolution. Characters were exciting, the main character has a good story and his father also had. Maybe graphics were average for time but not bad, it was well for release time. Sounds were epic. And it was fun. Not needlessly long.

It's the same, chase-and-kill a Templar, You just kill each member of Haytham's members, uncover their true meaning, and like i said, it won't motivates you to kill the others.    The whole story primarily focuses on: The American Revolution, and dumb **** assassinations which you'll never even put note in your mind and won't even motivates you to kill the others.

    The story is boring.
    It's the same, chase-and-kill a Templar, You just kill each member of Haytham's members, uncover their true meaning, and like i said, it won't motivates you to kill the others. Because that's the same thing on what happens on every AC game ever. It's predictable. "Oh, I am dying, I only joined the Templars because we want to do something better in the world." It makes Rogue a better game, because you actually be the opposite, and uncover what's the true meaning of the Assassins, are they also doing the same, or they are not doing the same or instead are they liberating or defeating?

    And literally, The most boring part of the whole entire game is tailing missions: go and follow this random dude in New York because he counter-feit a random storeowner. The tailing missions have no point, because suddenly they tell you something about Charles Lee. How does the man even represent Charles Lee? I would love to see Connor killing the guy and seeing a Templar Cross on the body, or seeing a glimpse of the Templar Cross, then that gives me a reason why i should tail him.

    Let me tell you, visual presentations are amazing, they are great. The game mechanics are horrible.
    Because whenever i press D, to go and jump to that wall or roof, Connor just jumps out of the building, There was this one time that I had to speedrun a certain mission to light up a tower, then just jumping out of the building from where I was suppose to.

    AI, they are annoying.
    They have expert precision, because when you're in airborne, the bullet would hit you and you fall down, then face 15 commanders, and then you're dead in under 10 seconds.

    The combat is still the same.
    Ubisoft didn't do anything stylish in the normal attacks, (although they did let you break defense a enemy and kill him after doing that 2 times.) and gave the most basic finishing move that a 3 year old could do. Counter-attacks are the only stylish finishing move, especially what they did in double counter-attack mechanic, It has a great visual presentation.

    The game has potential, and yet Ubisoft didn't do anything innovative in the game or ground-breaking. It's the same game, just like COD.    … Expand

    Como grande diferença temos a adição do sistema de caça, que só foi realmente bem explorado no Black Flag. Fora isso o jogo segue os mesmos padrões de qualidade de antes, um bom enredo, bom gráficos e boa jogabilidade.

    I could not feel much of a story in this game. There's always something in between. Irrational missions, go kill him. Ridiculous tasks like listen to him, follow him, protect him make the game pointless. If the story could only be told one way or another, I could feel myself in the game.     I truly hate this game. The last time I hated the game so much was Batman on Subor (in the nineties).     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well i have to say that: the game isn't at the level of the previous Assassin's Creed games. But the game is very good for someone wants to play just for fun. The story is beautiful to me. The development of Connor is very well told. From literally his childhood, to becoming the mentor of the American Brotherhood. But this game has flaws, too. The parkour has been simplified too much to me; the buildings are too low and sometimes the wide space between buildings is too high. I'll put 8 if you'll fix the PC version, which is unplayable.     This game differs quite a bit from the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy with respect to the combat system, which I don't mind but make sense if old AC players dislike the new system. I myself like the story though, with the in vain effort of Ratonhnhaké:ton (not Connor) for his tribe really gave me chills.

    I remember when I played this game, there was a significant evolution in graphics in comparison to the previous versions. I may being injuste, but according to my memory the history was not so envolved like the AC 2 and AC Brotherhood.

The control, which a lot of players complained about, also underwent a change. I'm not on either side here. I liked control both in Ezio's trilogy and here. Unfortunately, the main character also had to undergo a change. We can only remember Ezia, and this time we get into the hands of the Indian Connor, who received a lot of negative criticism. The game is more or less constantly moving forward and the secondary content rarely comes, although in the later phase of the game we will see some, even great news in the form of ship battles, which are not as great as in the later Black Flag, but here you are the developers could touch and test them in some way so that they could improve them for the next part. To sum it all up. Assassin's Creed III is a great title with a perfect story, in addition to the new graphic jacket that suits the game. The game was also very successful in changing the environment.     Oh heck. This game had some real fun stuff and some crap that COULD have been fun. Seriously, why are there tailing missions? Ubisoft, get a clue! And the cannon minigames? What? Also, the ship was too tricky. AND WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. But the combat and most of the story missions were fun.

    After wonderful games with Ezio, the Assasin's Creed III is big step back for me. I liked a little bit different weapon styles for Connor, but he is simply bland and uninteresting. Today I can't even remember single thing about him or the plot in this game.

And when you finally get to play as main character, the game doesn't get that much more interesting. It gets better, sure. But overall all the locations are pretty boring and empty.

    Now, in terms of the plot of the game itself, the story itself is really engaging and interesting, but quite very short. The whole restored atmosphere looks quite brilliant and interesting to name that 17th - 18th century (I don't know). Now when it comes to the level design of the game itself to me personally it seems pretty short and uninteresting I mean the missions of the story which were just very similar and not very interesting because the goal of the story was revenge. The missions themselves were very similar with only a few locations different as we fought in the imagined civil war, fought in the ocean, followed and listened, and fought against the English. We didn’t do much, personally I didn’t really feel that parkour style and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, very little. Side itself and other missions, I didn’t really try them, but I don’t think they’re the best, I don’t think there felt those parkour and what puzzles.

    So in my opinion about this game I'm not at all very happy due to the many bugs in the game the game itself is really great, but the worst thing like the other Assassin's Creed Series, most didn't like the fact that the game went too fast and I didn't feel any impression in the game. I would dedicate 6/10 to this game.    … Expand

    Я бы хотел выделить один момент, который как мне кажется был сделан хорошо и реально с душой это собственное поселение в котором просто приятно находится, общаться и помогать жителям это и правда было очень атмосферно и только из-за этого накидываю 1 балл.    Смешанные чувства само собой, но мне больше понравилось чем нет.

    The first part with Haytham is really good, he's a charismatic character with a memorable story. Until I got into Connor's part. Everything after Haytham goes downhill. You now got a frustratingly annoying protagonist , 1d characters, empty world, combat mechanic is OP and wastes the purpose of stealth (you can kill half of Boston's population with this combat), the story isn't memorable.The first part with Haytham is really good, he's a charismatic character with a memorable story. Игра на свою голову взяла хоть и один из самых интересных отрезков в плане истории но по совместительтсву, самый скучный сеттинг геймплейном плане, бегать по колониальным городам Америки тех времён удручающееНа моей памяти - это самый неоднозначный Assassin's Creed, даже первая часть не была так холодно принята общественностью, а с оценкой игроков на этом сайте я в корне НЕ СОГЛАСЕН. Игра на свою голову взяла хоть и один из самых интересных отрезков в плане истории но по совместительтсву, самый скучный сеттинг геймплейном плане, бегать по колониальным городам Америки тех времён удручающее зрелище, а обилие стражников на крышах всячески мешает свободно путешествовать по городу, все здания одинаковы и на память не запоминаются ни одного архитектурного сооружения. Сама боевая система в игре хоть и красивая, но не требует от тебя никакого хоть минимального усердия, даже в прошлых частях нужно было во время тех же серийных убийств соблюдать тайминги но в третей части серии сама боевая система - это только пища для глаз.
    А теперь перейдём к плюсам, а в игре их достаточно, к ним я хочу отнести анимации и графику, Ubisoft изрядно постарались чтобы в их игру стало приятней играть, игра технически разительно преобразилась в лучшую сторону от своих старших сестёр, физика снега, плавные ползание по геометрии наглядно показывает наглядный прогресс в техническом плане, как и должно быть, а сами катсцены стали более кинематографичными, что хорошо повлияло на погружение в сюжет.
    Сюжет игры разворачивается во время войны за независимость США и колонизации земель индейцев ещё тогда свободного Фронтира, сюжет нам расскажет о подлости человека, которые даже под самыми хорошими побуждениями скрывают свои эгоистинчые и аморальные цели - это касается и дружественных на первый взгляд союзников протагониста, так и его врагов тамплиеров, что дарит неплохой шарм самой истории. Главный герой не типичен, нетипичность его заключается в том, что персонаж его цели и размышления далеки от современного человека и даже кажутся глупыми но по большей части он как раз этим и цепляет, обычно в поп культуре, персонажи из других эпох мыслят как современные люди, но протагонист имеет тот характер который наделила его та среда в которой он вырос, человек живший всю жизнь в резервации отправляется в словно другой мир,из-за чего у самого персонажа в течении сюжета проявляются метаморфозы в характере за которыми интересно наблюдать. На мой взгляд лучший сюжет в серии. Второстепенные задания тоже немного порадовали, помимо всеми нами "любимого" собирательства, в игре есть контент связанных как с просто охотой, так и раскрытием загадочных происшествий и если с первыми на счёт интересности можно поспорить, то на счёт миссий в Поместье Дэвенпорт для меня - это лучший контент в открытом мире и по увлекательности равный сюжетной компании.
    В целом крепкая игра в плане сюжета и контента но довольно не впечатляющая геймплейно.    … Expand

He is not as charismatic as Ezio, however, he exudes a commanding presence. The plot takes place over many years and depicts forests and cities shrouded with heavy snow, misty mornings, and brightly blooming summer, all of which affect how the environment and people react. Free running with parkour feels fresh. The game introduces climbing trees and jumping on the branches like a monkey is a beautiful addition to the game. The game introduces acrobatic combat with some gruesome kill animation. Once you've finished the campaign, watch this video that wasn't included in the game and this video to understand the turmoil the character went through, which helps make the character more memorable.… Expand

    This was an okay game, the story and setting was fun but a stepdown after Ezio, however it would be hard to follow up a triology... It would always be less successfull, their hope would be to make another triology or sequel for Connor but they decided not to.     Firstly, it's worth noting that there is a remastered version, Assassin's Creed III Remastered, which includes this game along with Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD. While I prefer the original due to the fact that the remastered butchered the characters faces, I recommend playing the remaster due to certain content today only being available to play on it. Other than the bad faces, the remastered is the definitive way to play the game.

    The certain content today only available in the remastered is the singleplayer DLCs. Ubisoft has removed the access to them for everybody, although they are already bought and already owned singleplayer content, together with taking down the multiplayer servers. This move has been a significant blow to the gaming community. Despite owning the DLCs, players are now unable to play the content, creating a sense of frustration and disappointment. While it is understanding to take the multiplayer servers down after a while, already owned singleplayer DLCs should not be possible to be taken away from you. Ubisoft's actions set a concerning precedent and raise questions about the company's commitment to preserving the gaming experiences of its dedicated audience.

    The game stands as a notable improvement over its predecessors, with its enhanced graphics and fluid parkour and movement mechanics.     too bad .Conor is most boring person ever.All missions are the same.Story isn't interesting and bad also i think this game's story is betraying AC universe.Haytham Kenway is a great villain but unfortunately a wasted villain.

    I really enjoyed this game; the mechanics are a lot more refined than previous games, the environment is fresh, and the time period of the American Revolution is fascinating and really fun to explore. I really liked Connor as the protagonist, and the father-son dynamic of this game was what really caught my attention.     Una verdadera decepción, lo único que salva este juego es el lore en si, pero gameplay es lamentable, se exagero la simplificacion del parkourt, pasando de algo normal a algo muy aburrido y que no te detecta bien donde quieres saltar, caer o agarrarte, siendo una pesadilla y siendo mejor andar en caballo o a pie, tiene un mundo abierto en el que te aburres a las pocas horas ya que no hayUna verdadera decepción, lo único que salva este juego es el lore en si, pero gameplay es lamentable, se exagero la simplificacion del parkourt, pasando de algo normal a algo muy aburrido y que no te detecta bien donde quieres saltar, caer o agarrarte, siendo una pesadilla y siendo mejor andar en caballo o a pie, tiene un mundo abierto en el que te aburres a las pocas horas ya que no hay mucho que hacer, escenarios aburridos y misiones secundarias que te dejan un mal sabor de boca a comparación de la cantidad de actividades de otras entregas en su mundo abierto.
    Lo repito nuevamente, su historia en si es increíble, como termino la saga con Desmond es bueno, pero el "juego" es en realidad una película, cada paso que das te ponen cinemáticas muy largas llenas de relleno innecesario.    … Expand

    Even though the main character was annoying, the game endeared itself to me with its overall successful gameplay and story. Main villain of the story was also well written.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. provavelmente eu gosto mais da localização do jogo em si do que do jogo em si. lembro que tava estudando a revolução americana na escola na época que joguei o jogo e me senti fascinado pela adaptação fiel à história da revolução americana. no geral é divertido mas só vale uma jogada considerando o endgame esquisito e a loucura que é a introdução do game que faz o jogador gastar tanto tempo com o personagem que nem é o principal.… Expand

    What, no French revolution? For Europeans, birth of the United States is not really very interesting time nor environment. And after Ezio (or Haytham Kenway), Connor is bland, irritating protagonist. Game is also full of chores that add very little to the experience. [Jan 2013]
