    I very often heard and read that this game was a kind of strong breakthrough in the gaming industry ... and I completely agree with this. And the plot and game-play of Assassin Creed, for its year, are simply amazing.     We are in 2019 and this is my first time playing this game and I have just 1 word to describe this game:
    AWESOME!!!
    Damm I feel so ignorant for being a lot of time without playing this !
    I hope the next games surprises me more

    Advantages:
    1) Graphics. The graphics in this game are pretty nice, albeit a bit dull. Yes, this is not Crysis, but this game is also much better optimized.
    2) AI. Although the Nobel Prize NPCs do not deserve, but you can not call them idiots. This applies to both the guards and the civilian population. 3) I played the keyboard with the mouse and I was pretty comfortable. 4)    Advantages:

    Disadvantages:
    1) The plot. Although the game has a good starting point and an interesting topic, the plot after a couple of initial missions becomes dull and monotonous. He does not develop. I guessed about the betrayal of one of the characters in the middle of the game. And this is not because I am the most brilliant person on the planet, but because the plot does not try to hide the fact of betrayal.
    2) Characters. It's all very ambiguous. Although the main character has a certain charisma and logic of actions, to many he may seem impersonal. It is difficult for a player to associate himself with a hero whom he cannot understand, and Altair is a very individual person who is alien to human attachments and who has original and too moral views on life. Antagonists are also not special. They are shown only from one unpleasant side. If in Assassin’s Creed 3 the goals of the Templars were noble, and the methods for achieving these goals were quite cruel, then in the first Assassin’s Creed the Templars are bad, simply because they are evil. It’s too early to talk about Desmond, since he was almost never revealed as a person or character.

    Right now it's already a classic. I finished it three times and for sure I'll come back to it in the future. Yes, after 12 years some mechanics got old and gamers who already played in other games from Assassin's Creed franchise may not like it, but it's one of the must play. Still very good graphic, atmosphere, soundtrack and great story.
    And Nolan North as Desmond Miles, as always great.

    На фоне второй части - крайне посредственная игра. Понятно, что на старте игра была в целым событием, но играть в нее сейчас сомнительная идея. Лучше пройти шикарную вторую часть.

    The actual gameplay is fun, but a bit shallow. I had a good time.

    Fights and climbing are fun, but get repetetive soon.

    The graphics are very good for a 2007 game, they were ahead of the time.

    However, the amount of bugs (i.e. Leap Of Faith bug) that are still in this game after 15 years is absolutely shocking! Therefore, I can only give 6/10 points.

    Это игра была переломным моментом в истории Ubisoft. Они создали успешную франшизу в виде Prince of Persia и подумали над создание игры, с схожей механикой, но другим повествованием и стилем игры и у них это получилось очень хорошо.
    Пройдя игру уже официально купленную, а не ребенком, который ее когда то скачал, я все еще под впечатлением будто первый раз ее прохожу и не то что бы я    Это игра была переломным моментом в истории Ubisoft. Даже в 2020 году первая часть хита играется сносно, однако, однообразность в игре зашкаливает, почти постоянно одно и тоже убей - вернись и так до самых титров. For a game released in 2008 it looks great and still holds up to today's games, also it has a story if you're interested in the Assassin's creed story. And that's about it for the good. Now the bad.     Now the bad. The bugs, all 10 million of them. Like when you're running from a enemy and you run too close to a bench or ladder or anything it goes into that animation and screws you, and this happens all the time. Climbing, the main mechanic, is so bad it gets extremely frustrating at times to where your smashing your head against a way wondering why he can make a 1 foot climb without moving to the side a inch. Also leaping over a 1 foot gap he often misses and sends you falling to your death. Mix in with enemies clipping though the ground, making ear squealing audio glitches, the fact that the controller support is for what seems to be a super Nintendo controller, and you character constantly not going where you want makes this game a absolute pain to play.

    If you don't care about the story just move on from this game, it's so bad you might as well start from Assassin's creed 2 to get some of that polish. Extremely bad game, not worth the time. Highly Recommend avoiding or if you do buy it get it on sale for $5 because it's not worth the $20 it goes for.    … Expand

    Oh the good old days when there was even a good animus story in Assasin's creed and a meaningful story. Still good game in 2022, but pretty buggy with today's eyes. If you don't turn on v-sync, the game will be very buggy. you will die in every leap of faith.

    The combat system for 2007 is not bad, but monotonous and primitive. The open world is large, but empty and sparsely populated. The gameplay is as monotonous and boring as possible, but I like it all.

Боевая система ничтожна показушная фигня, в которой ты 90% времени стоишь и мнёшь воздух ладошками пытаясь перехватить чужой меч(В режиме рукопашного боя игру пройти проще всего) Задачи которые ставит перед вами игра , могут быть полностью проигнорированны , если конечно не заскриптованы что бы вы стояли и смотрели как кто-то уходит с тупым лицом будто бы вы не могли кинуть ему кинжал в спину, с учётом геймплейной состовляющей.
    3. Сценарий. Есть дед , который как сборник цытат умничает пол игры , а потом оказывается главным дегенератом с тупой жаждой власти.
    Итог. Хорошая технодемка, но уж точно не полноценная игра.    … Expand

    Ну ця гра - однозначно прорив свого часу. Вона зробила дуже багато для індустрії, задавши моду на багато років, але зараз я б її грати не став так, як вона неймовірно нудна та самоповторна.

    Pretty bare-bones Assassin's Creed experience, but fun nonetheless. The parkour mechanics are still good and although the story is repetitive, it has a great ending and provides an excellent start to the Assassin's Creed storyline.

    This game is awful. Storytelling is bad, gameplay and combat system is ok, missions design are almost non-existant. All the missions are exactly the same. And they are so boring. Only good thing about this game is the musics. Other than that, this game is just a total waste of time and money.

    I played the first Assassin's Creed more than ten year ago. I remember that it was a boring game, strange mechanics, non-engaging story. I had luck because I insisted in the others series. Definitely, the first A.C. was the worst of all.

The main character Altair (I won't spoiler and how it all turns out) gets a task to find and kill several people after a few hours of playing. And here is the biggest stumbling block. The game has been story so far, but from the moment you visit Damascus (by the way, a really epic moment of the game) the game starts to be about the same thing. Come to a city, complete a few tasks and kill the person. Repetitive. Lifeless. At least for me. If we get something in the game, I don't mind, but we don't get any items here, or game currency or something that would motivate me to continue playing. So what drove me the most was the atmosphere of the cities, the graphics and the soundtrack, which gave each city a unique charm. But in the end, I have to say I was really staring. As if the game kept its best until the end. I don't want to hypothesize you, but the end will just start to be story again and we will even see an unexpected, at least for me, an unexpected turnaround. So, to bring it all together. Assassin's Creed 1 is a good game with very good graphics at the time, a luxurious soundtrack and a wonderful environment. Unfortunately, the story is not much here except for the beginning and the end. I passed the game only because I am a fan of the series and I wanted to have it complete. Despite the fact that this is a repetitive affair, in my opinion it is a good game, which I recommend but especially to fans of the series.     I don't usually get bored of old games that quickly. A game with beautiful graphics for its year. And I guess that's the only good thing I can say. Also, the story isn't bad.     Soundtrack - 10/10. Very memorable and awesome soundtrack.
    HUD/UI/Menus - 2/5. Somewhy the PC keyboard configuration seen on screen is changed into parts of the body (to explain it you'd have to see gameplay), which is unnecessary. Otherwise the menus are nothing too great.

Может я коряво управляю, но всё же. После получения контратаки, играть стало в удовольствие.     Музыка-в игре она довольна хороша,даже не смотря ни на что она серьезна,хотя это наоборот дает атмосферу тех лет.

    Короче первый Assassins creed имеет потенциал но к сожелению походу Юбисофт не удалось реализовать хорошо свои идеи поэтому вот такой не совсем удачный эксперимент получился. МОЯ оценка 5/10 и как по мне это достойна для такого первого эксперимента.    … Expand

    The most exciting aspect of the game is the quality of the animations. The sequel series used same animations until AC origins. And even the games like shadow of mordor, used AC 1's parkouring and running animations.
    Game's core game mechanics are simple but satisfied enough even after years. The combat and parkour mechanics are smooth and enjoyable, and familiar to other sequel games.
    Of course game has too many lacking part of game design. Core game loop is linear and devoid of change. All you have to do to advance to story is, climbing some towers in each city and doing the side missions to gain information about target, then you can assasinate target as like the 9 other targets. the side missions has too little variety, there is nothing can be do in partial open world except for missions. Game even doesn't have any money, reward system at all. But it is acceptable i guess, because game time is ideal and the game is fast paced.

Единственным интересным являются миссии по убийству целей, которые отлично поставлены, но не всё так просто. Для того чтобы убить цель надо узнать больше информации о ней из мини-миссий. Они повторяются десятки раз и сами по себе просты: убить кого-то, обокрасть, передать что-то, подслушать и т.д. В конце игры они сильно утомляют. Также можно спасать горожан от стражников, но боёвка в первом ассасине слишком реалистичная и долгая. Да и сами противники к концу игры нападают на героя просто так. Потому боёвка тоже надоедает. Можно взбираться на точки синхронизации, и это не так скучно как остальное, в первую очередь из-за паркура и красивейших видов. И самое тупое собирательство в играх - флаги. В игре их аж 420! И за их сбор не дают ничего. Но не скажешь что мир пуст, ведь на улицах много народу и сам дизайн городов отличен. Ассасин предоставил революционный геймплей. Ты может забраться на любое здание и заниматься детальным паркуром с замечательными анимациями. Это первая игра, которая дала такие возможности. Графика отличная, не дать, не взять. Музыка от Йеспера Кида хороша, но мне кажется слишком серьёзная.
    Игра хороша в графике, дизайне мира, музыке, деталях сюжета и той же графики. Геймплей сам по себе революционен, но репетативен. Сюжет так-же не лучший. У разработчиков было 4 года на разработку и они могли сделать игру куда лучше. Это далеко не лучшая часть в серии и не тянет на высокую оценку. Но её стоит ценить хотя бы за вклад в игровую индустрию.

    The story is great the music also.

    Overall a good game and it could've been an easy 7/10 or even 8/10 if it wasn't for the amount of bugs.

    This game is ass. Its dull repetative and boring and i couldnt even bring myself to finish it. The entire game consists of the same 4 activities and same 3 cutscenes over and over and over with 0 variation. The voice acting is so dull you wont pay attention to anything other than the modern day parts, and the cutscenes feel like they dont progress anything and are just wasting your time.This game is ass. Its dull repetative and boring and i couldnt even bring myself to finish it. The entire game consists of the same 4 activities and same 3 cutscenes over and over and over with 0 variation. The game graphically has aged amazingly but they ruin it by puttiing terrible colour filters over everything to hide the fact that everything looks the same. The cities are the exact same just with different colour filters. The stealth is terrible and boring, all you do is get caught, run and break line of site, and go to one of the 3 types of hiding places and wait for them to forget about you, it is nothing more than that. The combat is terrible too, its button mashy as hell and the only other method is waiting for them to attack you and pressing one button to kill them. This game is terrible.… Expand

    Worst game of the series. I remember how bored and frustrated I was trying to play this game and I never plan to play it again to finish it. Skip this game and move on to other games. Even for the time it was released, it has an unbearably terrible gameplay and story. Trying to finish this game is probably harder than actually living in the 13th century.

    Tiene buena historia pero las misiones son aburridisimas ya que siempre haces lo mismo pero bueno no me quejo que lo compre por 2€ y almenos va en un mal pc bastante bien

    Однозначно прорыв своего времени, но на данный момент игра очень устарела, и играя в нее, вы не получите массу удовольствия. По большей части, как по мне, упор делался на паркур, бесячее управление на клавиатуре с пк, из-за которого я по сто раз падал с вышек или вовсе не мог нормально залезть в какие-либо места, убивает все удовольствие(Однозначно только для игры на геймпаде). СюжетуОднозначно прорыв своего времени, но на данный момент игра очень устарела, и играя в нее, вы не получите массу удовольствия.     Sinceramente, eu não curti. Sei que é o primeiro jogo e que as mecânicas ainda eram um rascunho, mas, caramba, é torturante escalar, o combate não tem diversidade nenhuma e o protagonista, apesar de interessante, não tem quase nada de carisma, sempre falando em tom neutro e sem expressar emoção.
    Para um início, mesmo levando em conta as limitações, ainda é bem fraco. É só ver que Prince    Sinceramente, eu não curti. Basicamente o jogo não tem stealth, e isso matou a graça de muitas missões, pois você basicamente chega no inimigo e esfaqueia, depois aperta o botão para disfarçar. Me vi muitas vezes frustrado por ter de fazer missões repetitivas de assassinato onde tinham 3 alvos e se eu falhasse, ficava mais difícil porque os corpos dos que eu matei ainda estavam lá e os guardas ficavam em alerta, dificultando conseguir assassinar o alvo sem falhar, e as vezes os npcs (os loucos), simplesmente me empurravam, eu esbarrava em um guardsne falhava a missão. Eu tive 0 vontade de fazer qualquer side quest que não fosse obrigado a fazer para seguir com as principais, que são todas praticamente iguais e nada recompensadoras.

    Jogo ok, mas sem nada demais além da ótima premissa, então ele é bem vazio e completamente descartável se um jogador busca se divertir. Só vale a experiência para conhecer o jogo que iniciou a franquia...    … Expand

    I love the story and the dubbing in this part. I've always followed the plot (and the one from the medieval period and the modern period) closely and finished the game several times. Dubbing outside of Altair and old ladies (include in the electric circuit) is pure poetry, especially Al-Mualim.

    As a game that started a legacy of yearly releases, the original Assassin's Creed is a fantastic look into a simple era of gaming.

    Everything this game does works so well that it spawned an iteration after iteration on the same idea. The movement system is at times clunky, but mechanically it is more reliable than Unity, a game released seven years later.

    The story takes a look on young Altair, who through pure hubris falls from grace and has to build himself back up through the ranks of the assassin brotherhood. After killing each of the nine main targets, you get new tools to help you deal with the challenges presented by the world.

    Each of the three main cities is architecturally distinct from the others, allowing for fun scenery while you are traversing each city. The combat is simplistic but it works. Throwing knives are broken but they add to the arsenal of tools in a unique and sometimes needed way.

    The original Assassin's Creed, a game whose legacy would be a smattering of great to meh sequels. Fun to this day though not as impressive as when it came out.    … Expand

    Pierwsza część tej serii podoba mi się przede wszystkim z dlatego, że klimat oraz postacie jakie tam są, wzbudzają sentyment w graczu. Elementy parkour'a jak na tamte czasy działają nienagannie a sama historia napisana, może i banalnie, ale jednak jest w niej coś, co nadaje charakter tej grze. Czasami zdarzy mi się wrócić do tej odsłony by powspominać dobre czasy gier.

    This game was spoiled. I wanted to show it as an original good one, and it got spoiled by additional complications which annoying very much. Also a lot of bugs, for example no possibility to get to view point, he just stop climbing in the last moment. Or he dies after landing in the straw. But mostly unnecessary guardian's "improvements".
