A solid MMORPG, but feels like it's missing that special spark that will keep you hooked for weeks on end.
  2. Just one of those strange games that has it all on paper, executes the design properly and yet doesn’t capture the imagination.

Despite the emphasis on monthly events and a dynamic story, there is no real solution to the twin problems of weak role-playing and the somewhat generic quests... [yet] an enjoyable, addictive game.

A technically excellent, but ultimately shallow and mechanical, experience. [Mar 2003, p.77]

It does have its problems, but the monthly updates will most likely smooth most of them out. As far as the nuance of having to pay to play this is honestly the first time i've played a game online, with plans to keep playing after the free month runs out. Its just really fun. Full Review »
