Jun 8, 2014Ascendant is a great roguelike experience that has similar elements to Rogue Legacy and Binding of Isaac. I've spent over 10 hours on the game and haven't even reached the final boss, so it is definitely worth the $10.
The only disappointment I have related to the game is the lack of people playing! The game is AMAZING! What are you waiting for? -
Jun 2, 2014I noticed this game by seeing Total Biscuit's favorable review of it. I bought it on steam for $10 and was still very pleasantly surprised. Or unpleasantly dissappointed, because I was planning to do one more run until I had to force myself to quit 20 deaths and 3 hours later.

Sep 24, 2015Ascendant is an amazing rogue-like that keeps sucking me back in. After over 100 hours in the game, I feel I am more than qualified to give this a rating, and the only word I can think of is "Beautiful"

Aug 4, 2014Ascendant is a colorful, original platformer that desperately needs more content.

Jul 21, 2014Ascendant proves brilliantly to apply The Art of War by Sun Tzu into an intimate action platformer. If you are not scared of permanent death, you will enjoy perfectly motivating roguelike action game set in pleasant scenes.

Jun 25, 2014Ascendant is a decent brawler and you will have fun watching the amazing artwork of your character slicing his way through a marauding horde of enemies. The game is not for the faint-hearted though, as death is final and a lot of people will (like me) get annoyed far too easily due to this.
