    Such a beautiful game, if you want to have 3x fun, just play with your friends! It's a bit laggy, you should have a good PC to run at Low/Medium settings, and it have a lot of bugs, but the amount of content you have on this game, is unbelievable, 8+ maps to play (half is DLC, but worth the money) and, if that's not enough, you can also play on servers, which are a bit stressful for someSuch a beautiful game, if you want to have 3x fun, just play with your friends!     While it has its problems, I can't justify giving this game anything less than a 10. I have over a thousand hours in it. A THOUSAND HOURS. That's ~41 days of nothing but playing this game.

    It's fun, but incredibly un-optimized. Even if you have a good card, be prepared to turn those settings down to medium or low to get playable fps.     A lot of the bugs people have mentioned have been fixed since well before EA, I'm not sure what they're going on about. Yeah the game's support is genuinely terrible, but I only had to use it twice, once when I got a dinosaur stuck underneath the terrain (back in early access - and this only happened once) and second when I messed up with tranferring tribe ownership. Couldn't get any help with the first one because I couldn't remember the dino's name and it had been a few days (it was dead, jim), but the second one got resolved speedily.    … Expand

    I enjoy this game a lot. Been playing it since early access, so it's countless hours already. Yeah it demands quite a high spec PC/laptop (esp VGA and RAM), but it all pays off with the excitement I have every single day: building stuffs (THE SIMS), exploring the world (FAR CRY), taming dinos (POKEMON) etc. Nothing's perfect, but the devs always give game updates. Bring your friends alongI enjoy this game a lot. Been playing it since early access, so it's countless hours already. Has a lot of great promise but a rather steep learning curve if playing alone (similar to Don't Starve), but has a ton of potential for being the next great survival game. Lots of solo and community driven gameplay elements and a pretty immersive world to be in. Not the most "realistic" survival game in existence but it doesGIVE THIS GAME A SHOT!     Biggest issues are that it does take a pretty meaty rig to take full advantage of the graphics (seems like a modified Crytek engine) on the highest settings. This game is JUST in early access so I expect to see some of the animations, bugs, and slight clipping issues get resolved over time. I only have about 8ish hours with this game so my review is based on initial impression and overall potential the game has.    … Expand

    If you have unlimited time and you are prepared for the possible bugs, then this game will definitely absorb you. If Wildcard manage to fix the bugs instead of making a lot of DLCs, ARK will be one of the best games of its genre.

    Ark Survival is a huge game. It has its issues with bugs ans stuff but it is also the best Survival/Building/Crafting game I ever played. With so many mods this game feels like a whole new experience everytime you play it. I've been playing over 2.000 hour and it still did not stop me enjoying it. The only thing which bothers me is the fact that you have to rent a server to fully enjoyArk Survival is a huge game. It has its issues with bugs ans stuff but it is also the best Survival/Building/Crafting game I ever played. With so many mods this game feels like a whole new experience everytime you play it.     A true survival game, stranded on an empty island full of deadly dino's. Build your safe heaven, learn and discover the many ways to finally become a master.

    If you have time, are looking for a game with easy a 100+ hours, this is the way to go. Without patience, and grit, don't even try

There are more than a hundred dinosaurs and creatures of all kinds, and it is possible that I am wrong and there are even more! The graphics    ARK is a pure masterpiece! While it is not comparable to the AAA classics that we have today but we must not forget that ARK is an independent game developed by a small studio!

    Let's not start the positives: The content of the game is just huge! There are more than a hundred dinosaurs and creatures of all kinds, and it is possible that I am wrong and there are even more! The graphics and art direction of this game are just sublime, immersive environments and especially life is present everywhere, you can watch the dinosaurs move and attack others or attack them yourself or tame them! The music (soundtrack) of this game is just fantastic and absolutely fabulous, Gareth Coker did a monster job! It is, I think, one of the games with the best OST in the independent domain! Not to mention the DLC which are certainly paying, but still add tens or hundreds of hours of games to the basic game that is already very long! And do not say that the game is flat and contains no story, just see the number of notes arranged throughout the map and especially the cinematic end to understand that the game hides a big story behind.

    But, as in all excellent games, there are negative points: Unfortunately the game is not very very well optimized, although there is still a huge difference between the advance access version and the final version, the game in Ultra is almost unplayable for those who do not have a GTX 1070 or 1080 and again ... But hey, I personally play high with a GTX 1080 and the game runs very well! Unofficial servers (which are purchased on hosting sites such as Nitroserv or OMGSERV) are not stable at all! There are many lags, automatic disconnections and crashes.

    But luckily the game remains fun to play for those who want to have fun with friends! For those interested in history, there are many secrets to discover and mysteries to solve! And the support of mod via the workshop extends enormously the game! Whether mods that add maps, creatures, gameplay, armor / weapons / tools and etc! In short, ARK is one of the best independent games in history!    … Expand

    This game is by far one of the most beautiful games i have ever played. the game is really recommended for people who like to fight, breed and build up armies, and especially if you love dinosaurs.

    This game has amazing graphics and i really enjoy the game although there is a couple flaws. i think the game is a tad bit expensive but is still really great. there is a section were your just grinding for materials.

    my overall review for the game is definitely a 9-10 as the game play is great until you get to late game play such as tek tier when the game becomes a bit repetitive

    It is a good game from the entertainment point of view, but if the screen sticks when you close it and waiting even more than half an hour takes away points but what matters is having fun and one of its bad points is that it is very boring to play no friends and the mode is just boring period but if you play it with friends it is the best adventure game

    This game is great and most people who give it a bad score are people who have gotten their money's worth out of it ie playing like 600 hours and then something happens to them and they rage quit and come and write a negative review on the game.

    A truly immersive and amazing game. I have often spent what i thought was a couple hours but turned out to be a full day on this game. There are always updates and new dlc coming, and there is plenty of content and loads of things for you to do. The community on pve servers is also one of the best communities out there, and when you have lots of high tech resources you can transfer to aA truly immersive and amazing game.     I played the game from Alpha release and back then there was a number of bugs and not a lot of content. I remember how exited i was when they introduced Argentinians into the game, and then T-Rex. Since then the game has significantly improved since a couple of years ago, and i would definitely recommend this game to others.

    The graphics are extremely good in my opinion and it runs very well on a good gaming pc.

    Wildcard also has a very good attention to detail, like for instance if you look at the dinos in the eye they blink and look around. It works very well on dinos like the Kracken.

    On the side of dinos there is plenty of dinos to make the game interesting (over 200) and they are adding more and more.    … Expand

    Creo que voy a ser el único comentario en español XD, considero que ark es el mejor juego que eh jugado y arreglaron muchos errores y mejoraron la optimización y tiene una gran variedad de dinosaurios y posibilidades.

    One of the best games i have ever played. Of course it has its problems here and there but what game doesn't? I mostly play singleplayer and have fun with console commands and world settings, so i don't know much about multiplayer. But if you want a game that you can have fun with for quite a long time (And you have "very decent" pc) and you don't care much about multiplayer, then thisOne of the best games i have ever played.     I'm playing ARK since 2015, at start it was very hard to play without a furious computer configuration.
    During the 3 years, the game has evolved a lot, and performance improving.
    Know, it's my favourite game, very complete and addictive.

A few months after I decided to give it another chance knowing what I knew after 1.5 hours of gameplay. Decided to at least make it as far as building a home in solo.
    This is either a mistake or the best decision I’ve ever    I downloaded this game during a sale. Played for 30 minutes and got bored fast. About a year later I was bored and played again. Gave it one hour. Eh. Got bored again. A few months after I decided to give it another chance knowing what I knew after 1.5 hours of gameplay. Decided to at least make it as far as building a home in solo.

    Recommended game and whoever says that the game is not worth it means that the player has not passed the Ark 100 percent if you like adventure games and dinosaurs this is your game do not trust the opinion of others if you play it and you like it you have discovered a game that you like without anyone telling you otherwise

    Piękna gra a zwłaszcza do gry z przyjaciółmi. Lepsze od minecrafta pod względem realizmu (jest go mało ale na pewno więcej niż w minecrafcie) nie mówię że minecraft powinien być realistyczny ale mówię tu o np. krwawieniu lub złamanej kości. Polecam gorąco

    A wonderful Video Game, great graphics, cool dinosaurs, nice soundtrack it's what every game should have! The fact that this has a 5.9 just blows me away the game deserves at least an 8/10.

    The bugs metioned here by some guys giving 0/10 are mostly fixed in 2020. The game is awesome and probably the guys who gave 0/10 can't play it as well. The game has many things that have to be done in stages to defeat bosses or find artifacts. It has many different maps that can be found in Steam workshop (PC version), and additional items that also can be added from this workshop. JustThe bugs metioned here by some guys giving 0/10 are mostly fixed in 2020. The game is awesome and probably the guys who gave 0/10 can't play it as well. The game has many things that have to be done in stages to defeat bosses or find artifacts. It has many different maps that can be found in Steam workshop (PC version), and additional items that also can be added from this workshop. Just be careful as some of the workshop addons are outdated and cause the bugs (as they do not match the current game version)!. I played on hosted server once and have not experience any violence from players however it is possible that some of the servers have a lot of rude people and you can get easily attacked or offended. Therefore try to find friendly servers! Like everywhere in multiplayer community you have idiots playing games that want only to destroy other people fun (and or do not want to cooperate). For me graphic is on the highest level, music is great but quite repetitive and I can play this game for hours and not get easily bored (otherwise I have to feed all of my 200 dinos!). I recommend it for people in age between 10-50 years old. The game is fun and you can have even more of that playing with friends. With variety of maps (that each is completely different from another) you must know what to build first or where to go to complete the stage or simply finish the game map. For me this game is 9,5 on 10 (but i am giving 10 to close the mouth of those who gave 0/10 - you don't have a clue or your console / PC is too weak to play it and therefore you attack this game. If you don't like it play some stupid shooters or platform games to satissfy yourself!… Expand

    Currently no games can make the same play-mode of ARK. Even this game was released at 2017, but this still is my favourite game in 2020. You can build, craft, raid and it support so many mods that allows you create mother-ship or even npc human.

    I would definitely recommend ARK to anyone and I personally think Studio Wildcard has done a fantastic job over the years. It’s got everything you need to keep you gaming for a long time and mainly it has dinosaurs for you to tame and ride about on. What’s not to love about that? Nothing.

    I love this game, and have put a LOT of hours into it. The devs have some frustrating ideas of what makes the game fun, but with proper mods it's bloody fantastic.

    The modding community made this game really shine, without them it wouldn't be half the game it is.

    Deserves a MUCH better of reviews! This game was great when I played it, I just bought the game last month played it and loved it! If you play on servers with other people it's better however, but still great regardless! Thanks Studio Wildcard for making this underrated gem!

    Is the game perfect, in no way is it perfect. You'll see one person on here gave it a 0 rating but has 8000 HOURS of play time. Weigh that amount of play time with the rating.     You have Official Servers and Unofficial servers. Official servers seem to have a lot of toxic players on them. But those exist on unofficial also.
    There are thousands of mods available for your local play or to have on an unofficial server. The game has been in the top 10 most played games on Steam for TWO YEARS. Typically has 60,000+ people playing in the US prime time and on weekends.

    The PVP... claims are that PVP isn't balanced. I don't play PVP, but most of the complaints are about other PLAYERS. The people who make the game can't fix players being mean. Yet the developers are the ones that get blamed.

    I've got over 2500 in the game, still enjoy it.

    The game does require a good machine, but the way it plays on machines varies greatly.

    Excellent!! The main reason why people tend to hate the game is because the lazy devs that control it. In reality the game is great in terms if graphics, design, soundtrack, and even spawned good DLC.

    Why the score so low? This game is great! The toxic hillbillies reviewing this game obviously haven't played it. Don't listen to the 6.0 score this game at least deserves a 9 or even 10 in my opinion.

    If you are a huge fan of dinosaurs then ARK is totally the game for You! I already have +1,000 hours under my belt on Steam it gets better and better everytime I play it! Totally worth it.

    This game is overall beautiful, the visuals are very stunning, and the gameplay is really great. It's basically Minecraft, but instead of zombies it is Dinosaurs!

    A game to try at least once. It has its rough edges, but it's gotten so much better than back when it was first rated. Really fun to play with friends or in single-player. Super challenging pvp servers for those who are into that. Grindy pve for those who are into that. And, a surplus of other options in the unofficial servers. Awesome game!

    This game changed my life... If you disregard the bugs and optimization problems the game is fantastic! I don't blame some of the people for not liking it due to some of it's current issues, but for me the game is fantastic and is totally worth the $30.00 on Steam.

Teniendo en cuenta las numerosas carencias que posee el juego, como son principalmente el apartado visual, la interfaz, la optimización (aunque con el tiempo la han ido mejorando bastante) y sus mediocres físicas; el juego sabe emular perfectamente la sensación de supervivencia y el ambiente prehistórico, a la vez que en cuanto a mecánicas y a cantidad de criaturas (cada una de ellas con un nivel de detalle excepcional) es de lo mejor que podemos encontrar en el género. Cabe destacar que la música es bastante buena y adecuada en cada contexto y situación en la que suena, y el lore que tiene es interesante. Por último debo recomendar, habiendo jugado los modos offline y online del juego, que este juego se juegue mejor online y a ser posible con amigos, ya que hace del ARK una experiencia realmente alucinante. 7,9/10

    Honestly, Ark IS an underrated and sometimes underappreciated game. All the time you'll hear people laughing about what a mess Ark was yet you know those people never got the full experience or understand just how much nuance/depth and content really exists in this game. These are the same people who complain that the MMOs they're playing no longer require any communication - that players show up, kill a boss, and no one says a word and that there doesn't feel like there's meaning to anything anymore because of that. Yet, Ark is one of those games that makes the tribe and its ability to coordinate and work together one of the most powerful things you can have.     I personally enjoy the game, sure, it may have gotten off to quite a rough start but it managed to become better optimized and plenty other things at that. It is free on Steam you should get it.

    Ark is a fantastic game. Yes it has many bugs and glitches, but everything else makes it so much better, and makes handling the bugs worth it. From the extremely active community that are constantly pumping out amazing mods, to the sheer amount of content, and the surprising amount of story and lore, I recommend trying Ark: Survival Evolved out!

    Even with its initial lack of performance (which improved with the passing of updates), I think it is one of the best Survivals ever created.
    You can play PVP, PVE and even change the whole experience with the use of Mods.
    Unlimited hours of fun (That it is in the Top 1 of my most played games on Steam proves it).

    Like so many survival/crafting games, from Minecraft to Subnautica, ARK presupposes a player with a lot of time to dedicate to the experience, a high tolerance for repetition, and a fondness for chaos and the unexpected. With its sci-fi inflected single player campaign, ARK at least offers a solo player the chance to get the gist of the game without the threat of anti-social humans ruining whatever progress has been made. For the past two years, ARK has been helping to shape the genre and now that it's finished, it feels like the genre is due for the next stage of evolution.
