StephanieH.Feb 11, 2007Very buggy from release, and yet still buggy after 6 months of release.

RMcAuleyOct 20, 2006Nothing really new here. Another Korean'esque mouse click fest. If it wasn't for open pvp you could fall asleep at the keyboard and still lvl.

MarkH.Oct 24, 2006The initial section of the game is generic grind-em-up, and with higher level players obviously camping the starting city for easy kills. The game didn't hold my attention for longer than a few hours.

NathanVo-VanJun 19, 2008A bare-bones grinding experience. This game favors only the most dedicated player, but between the start to the ascension to the throne of the Archlord (which is unlikely for your Average Joe), you're going to be bleeding your eyes out grinding, grinding, grinding and doing some more grinding. This mediocre title clearly had a good reason to go Free.

May 21, 2012ArchLord - A long story about a game that got alot of potential, but the publishers destroy it step by step. Codemasters don't fix bugs, then Webzen take the game 2010 and destroy it more with the item-shop. It's sad, because ArchLord got a nice PvP system and a good graphic, but, you know, that's not all.

Archlord is a case of seen it before, seen it better, and the stuff we haven’t seen is going to end up more frustrating and hassle than it is worth.
-
Whether you'll ever get to see much of it is highly questionable, though, given that the time between starting and becoming completely despondent with ArchLord is likely to be minimal.
-
Regardless of it being very hard to picture how its tedious, clumsy mechanics could possibly evolve into something fluid and entertaining, any game that puts you through a good 15 or 20 hours of overwhelming despair to get to even a chance of something worthwhile - which the server-wide near-silence suggests actually isn't, and certainly won't be until if and when there are enough players to populate large-scale tussles - is a failure.
