Nov 10, 2025Rich PvE combat and an unusually friendly community make Arc Raiders a more approachable extraction shooter than most, but Embark Studios' continued use of AI voice generation is a black mark against its reputation.

Nov 18, 2025Arc Raiders achieves precisely what the extraction formula has been missing: approachability. It's a world that's appealing on its own for pretty much anyone —immersive, tactile, suggestive. It just happens to have an extraction mechanic and progression system on top of it. The game nails these features too. Loot and gear is easy to understand, hard to earn. Figuring out the PvE mobs can be tricky but also fresh and rewarding. There's plenty of both friend and foe depending on your personal preference, and the rewards for leveling up and investing resources are all satisfactory. Great game overall. [Recommended]

Oct 30, 2025ARC Raiders nails the fundamentals of extraction shooters with its tight gunplay, exciting loot and map designs rife with ambush locations. Its special blend of player-versus-player-versus-freakishly-intelligent-robot gameplay will enrapture extraction-shooter fans and newcomers alike.

Oct 29, 2025After spending some time in the Rust Belt, I can say with certainty that ARC Raiders is a great step for the extraction shooter genre. Beyond the incredible atmosphere of the maps lies in-depth systems to explore. Although simple to pick up, some may find it frustrating along the way. But, if you put in the effort, the mechanics ARC Raiders has available can make for a stellar time topside. That said there's still a whole lot left to explore in the Rust Belt – I've only played a smidgeon of the content for this live-service extraction shooter. If I had to score it today, based on initial impressions, I'd be at an 80/100. I'd also recommend ARC Raiders to all fans of the genre and gamers interested in starting their extraction shooter journey.

Nov 10, 2025Arc Raiders rarely eases up the pressure it puts on you. For some, that’s likely to be a dealbreaker. But if you’re game for something thrilling and you’re willing to tolerate loss, Arc Raiders is one of the most approachable and engaging examples of the extraction shooter yet.

Nov 13, 2025It’s been a long time since a game has hooked me this much, especially after I was so pessimistic going in, expecting to struggle as a solo player in a game full of mostly squads. If you’re hesitant to jump in, or you don’t think it’s the game for you, despite otherwise enjoying shooters, I urge you to give it a shot. Arc Raiders is massive, and it’s only going to get bigger.

Nov 4, 2025I'm not yet deep enough to know whether Arc Raiders will feel this compelling at hour 100 or whether, in two months' time, I'll still be dreaming about it. For now, all I know is that its metallic hooks are in me, and I cannot stop playing.

Nov 4, 2025I’ll have more thoughts in the coming days, but for now, Arc Raiders is some of the most fun I’ve had in a video game all year.

Oct 29, 2025It’s one of the best multiplayer games of the year, standing toe to toe with the giants in the genre. I’ll see you topside. [Review-In-Progress score = 90]
